Japanese BLs are literally the best among the rest when it comes to cuteness and fluffiness. I just keep smiling the whole time, especially seeing those ethereal visuals of the main characters. Yanase-senpai is soothing with a mixture of hotness and kawainess. Also, they offer us a new and fresh concept that revolves around the profession of 3D CG Designers. Overall, the pilot episode manages to set a great start and captures the viewers’ attention.
Love Mechanics is the only bearable show among the three sequels of EN of Love. I am grateful for it to introduce YinWar to me, who captivates my heart from their great portrayal of roles, eye-candy visuals, and strong heated chemistry. However, it’s hard to fully love the show since you can’t enjoy the flow of the story from the toxicity presented that revolves around cheating. Nevertheless, YinWar once again saved the show. It is also important to take note that in real life, some people are like Vee and Mark, under the same kind of situation.
I prefer this realistic way of storytelling over some over-romanticized love stories that are pushy and all over the place. However, this sequel was really an agonizing one. Especially seeing Seo Jun's great efforts and sacrifice just to save their relationship. As well as Han Ji Woo hating himself for his own behavior. There's too many things left unexplained and I'm all ears and eyes for them.
The campus sweetheart trope along with their huge shipping fanbase is absolutely a tiring norm to have. When will Thai BL makers realize this and offer the audience a better kind of storyline? I just can’t help but feel sorry for the outdated vibes that I’ve already seen plenty of times. The only thing that makes me cling to this show is the cute and fluffy scenes provided by the side couples (Park&Lee, Bear&Bomb)
I never expected this show to be this fluff and cute. Despite the loopholes I’ve seen, the overall impact it had on me was great enough. Park and Lee are the most loveable couple here. Their scenes were immersing, charming, and heart-fluttering. Also, the relatable moments of Bomb to his one-sided crush Bear were comedic and executed in a realistic way without too much romanticism. As much as I love the chemistry going on between the characters, I can’t help but feel annoyed by the basis of the love story. In which the teacher abuses her power to ship the two students in favor of her personal wants. I hope this will end sooner since it really affects my enjoyment of watching. Nevertheless, My Secret Love is a pretty good BL show featuring many good-looking visuals.
The resemblance of Mek's friends to some of my favorite K-artists is pretty close; Park looks like Ju Haknyeon and Bare's appearance is closely like Song Jae Rim.
When Seo Jun says, "Why is he so harsh to me?" I couldn't help it anymore and tears began to fall. This is so heartbreaking. To witness a man who has been ghosted for a year and still has the feelings lingering inside him with the questionable thought of what made his ex-partner break up with him? Real pain. Also, his effort to travel a long place just to keep seeing Jiwoo is undoubtedly an act of love. I love this man so much!! He even dedicated a song for Jiwoo's ex-gf to leave his partner alone haha so cute. Every single epilogue of To My Star S2 is a gift! Seo Jun, best boy!
Son Woo Hyun's singing voice is as alluring and fascinating as his speaking voice. The man is showering with pure talents. Seo Jun turned on his detective skill by finding out the couple bracelet from Ji Woo's old pic. I had fun watching Ji Woo's ex-lovers bickering and mocking each other. Hilariously great! I love Han Yoo Ha as well, she's an excellent child actress. I love Han Yoo Ha as well, she's an excellent child actress. The mother and daughter tandem brings an extra amount of joy and drama in the show. THE PHENOMENAL KISS! ISTG, no other K-BL actor will top these two when it comes to intimate, emotional, and sensational kissing scenes. With a bonus of hearing such alluring sounds every time they're eating each other's lips. I miss this kind of feeling, the feeling of enjoyment, excitement, and indulgence of watching a show. We're so close to Ji Woo's reason behind him ghosting Seo Joon, by Yoo Ha's mother implicating it in the preview. Can't wait for another satisfying episode next week.
I hated the norm of supporting characters dying for the sake of the main characters. It's funny how Tawan wasted a lot of seconds before firing his bullet, the same seconds as Big uses his body as a shield to save Porsche. I also hated the fact that Kinn forgot Pete. I hate the main characters now. A show for masochists and superiors.
With its semi-fantasy element that centralized on luck, it executed a freshly new concept that I never encountered in other dramas before. It was adorable and full of fluffiness. An unlucky man who met his complete opposite man in terms of luck, who soon became his boyfriend.
Shinomiya Naoya, Sato Yusuke in real life, really looks like a son-version of Keita Machida. The resemblance is noticeable; good-looking faces, lovely facial expressions, and portraying such boyfriend material characters (Kurosawa & Naoya). The zooming-in of Naoya’s nipples was a nice view to see, he is a fine hot man. I can fully understand Kota’s gay panicked moment seeing a half-naked man’s body in front of him at that time.
Japan is a big fan of making the story comedic with their actors playing big and exaggerated actions. Most of them are surely done in a cute way but can’t help to feel cringe at some scenes. The bad luck events are bearable at first however, it gets cheesier as the episodes pass by. Thankfully, their amusing love story is enough to conclude that this is indeed a nice show.
Despite Kota’s prior intention of using Naoya’s luck for his own gain, I personally think that given his unluckiness, his decision is valid and acceptable. Good thing that he realized that it is evil to befriend others just to satisfy your cravings. Naoya’s background story, on the other hand, helps the story to justify the kiss that he initiated in the first episode.
The moment I heard the OST, I immediately searched for it and added it to my playlist because of its catchy and beautiful vibes that match the whole storyline of the drama.
Another short yet sweet Japanese BL that captures the viewers’ hearts simply because of the characters. Arigato to the quirky Kota and to the overly cute creature, Naoya.
