How come I haven't heard of this one? A Wuxia, no romance, strong bromance, no problematic FL, main characters solving cases????? That's literally my dream drama right there! So excited to watch!
Wait is this for real????? Don't give me false hope. I adored the first season so much. Also give me the same cast, otherwise that's a big nope from me. EDIT: what is it that I read about adding a FL??? But why? Why change an amazing product? I went from incredibly excited to incredibly frustrated in 5 minutes urgh...
I am glad I watched it before reading the comments here because I actually liked season 2. Obviously season 1 was perfect, and I had high expectations for season 2. But even though it has its flaws I was really entertained. However the only reason I would want a third season is because I love the characters so much. The series does not need another season (I would still watch it though).
I debated whether to reply because I don't want to hype this up and set crazy expectations that leave you disappointed!…
Thank you so much for replying, I value everyone's opinion and your comment is very interesting and detailed. I already have high expectations because BJT usually chooses good projects and I enjoyed a lot of the dramas he has starred in. I actually love slice of life moments, that's why I love dramas like The Youth Memories. And I like that there is some room to breathe between arcs, it doesn't make it boring, it is necessary to have some for the story's development to be as smooth as possible. So I think I am really going to enjoyed Destined. Thanks again for your input!

I didnt feel it was slow at all. However, it does have arcs built into the story. I noticed at the beginning of…
I think that it is the best formula actually, a little respite sometimes is appreciated. I don't need for 100% of the drama to be packed. Getting time to appreciate each arc is great. I cannot wait for the fighting scenes! Thank you, you hyped me up!
It's slow burn drama. Yes it has some cool fighting scenes brilliantly done by BJT. War fight scenes are just…
I actually like slow burn, I wanted to see how a relationship fleshes out overtime, it feels more real to me. Also yeaaah for the fight scenes!!! You got me excited to watch the drama :D
It was a phenomenal drama. From start to finish it was engaging, every character is flawed and complex and real. The acting was just outstanding, I am a big XZ fan, and in my opinion it was his best role to date, not one other role can even compare. This drama was heartwarming and heartbreaking, frustrating and hilarious. Very deep, but never falling into melodrama territory. I was never bored, even though there is not much action. The different relationships and individuals, and the way they evolve throughout the years are so relatable and universal. Also I am not a big fan of romance, but the relationship between XCS and TXM was maybe my favorite ever depicted in a series. I ADORE these two characters, and they were even more lovable when they were together. So supportive of each other, very good communicators as well, they just brought the best out of the other. I just wish we could have seen more of them, I just love them so freaking much urgh. All in all it is a 10/10 for me, not everything is perfect, but life isn't either.
I am on stand-by, waiting for the drama to finish before I binge-watch it. Does it get boring at some point? I feel that way with lots of dramas, it starts engaging and gets dull after a while. Also are there some fighting/martial arts scenes? I am a sucker for those. I'll probably watch it anyway because Bai Jingting in a historical is my weak spot. Bai Jingting is my weak spot in general hehe.
Do I need to rewatch season 2 to watch season 3? I watched the second season when it first aired and although I remember the characters, I don't remember anything about the plot.
The Nightwalker Alliance on ep 5 I can't 😂 Please protecc these two cinnamon rolls at all costs. They are such innocent babies, I love them already.
Also give me the same cast, otherwise that's a big nope from me.
