This show itself does not need to be put down because of the mature content, It is rated R for a reason. Rape…
What bothers me is the fact that the younger brother is not called out for his behaviour, his mom even supports his actions. I do agree that uncomfortable scenes can be used to further a plot or to pass a message, but it needs acknowleging afterwards, not that scene where the older brother says it's his fault, and that the fact that he is gay influenced his brother... Being gay is not a contagious disease. However that's on the writer not the actors (who are all doing a wonderful job)
Also STOP BODY SHAMMING ANSON CHEN! Some people may not know that what they are saying is body shamming just because…
THANK YOU! I saw the one comment comparing him to a holocaust victim, and I couldn't believe my eyes... I commented previously on how toxic the comment section is, so that's on par with the rest. Thanks for saying something, people don't realize how hurtful it could be.
Hot damn that comment section is toxic. If I summarize what I read here: On one side we have "the puritans, the prude, stick-up-the-butt, sex-fearing crowd". On the other side we have "sick, mentally deranged people who need therapy ASAP"... I mean I am totally into debating about what we watch, I always enjoy a good discussion, but at least let's be civil about it... Having different opinions and POV is totally fine, and completely normal. We all come from different cultures and ways of life, our views on things will never be exactly the same, everyone brings in their own life experience. But it is a great thing, not something to insult each other over.
I ended up skipping the brothers' scenes (the actors are doing a great job, but their characters' relationship is putting me off so bad), however I am so invested in Licheng and Muren's developping relationship that I cannot drop this drama, I need to see how things will evolve between the two of them. Muren is such a sweetheart, and Licheng is so confused it is adorable. The two of them make a great pair.
I watched the preview of Ep 39. It is another hostage situation. I wonder isn't Mi Ka supposed to be in abroad??
From what I understood she came back early because one of the doctors she works with abroad had a meeting in China and needed someone to translate, so she went with him.
This show is so freaking entertaining! This episode went by so fast. The beginning had me in stitches, the relationships between the characters are not black and white, but always in a different shade of grey, you don't know what to expect. The ending, just spectacular, the cinematography is to die for. Also Vincenzo x Inzaghi is the superior ship, that pigeon will become the key character at some point, just watch... The preview has me excited for tomorrow!
I am not a cdrama fan, for one because there are usually too many episodes, but also because of the dubbing, it always feels super weird to me. But in YAMH, they are using their real voices and it makes a world of difference! Also Sandra Ma and Bai Jingting are super believable as a couple, and Bai Jingting is very cute. MI Ka and Xing Kelei behave like teenagers in love but they still have a very mature outlook on things in their relationship. One complaint though, there are not enough police acrion scenes. I don't want this drama to end!
It cannot be considered consensual when one of the parties is drunk as a skunk, unless they agreed on having intercourse beforehand. Alcohol impairs rational jugement and lowers inhibitions. That's exactly why the younger brother got Xing Si drunk, he knew his older brother would not have acted that way otherwise, he even admitted it, that's proof enough for me. How many people have ever regretted at least once some actions or decisions they took while being drunk? I know I have. In my book it was sexual assault.
I really like how they deal with the drama in this show, they don't drag it out, they don't create unnecessary fights between Mi Ka and Kelei, no stupid misunderstandings. Also, Mi Ka and Xing Kelei are the most unproblematic couple I have ever seen in a drama, they talk about their issues and are supportive of each other, they apologize when they make mistakes. It is really such a pleasure to watch their relationship develop. I already love Keyao and Dr. Shao but I loved them even more in the last episode, they are such nice characters with great personalities. Shu Wenbo was so clueless OMG, but it was kinda endearing this time. And thank God the two pests are gone, ugh take the hint, Kelei is definitely not interested thank you very much! 6 episodes left, I am already grieving TT_TT
I really can't find anything wrong with this drama, I have such a soft spot for it! Shu Wenbo is starting to redeem himself thank god. Xing Kelei and Mi Ka are still my OTP. And the scenes between Xing Kelei and his sister are so wholesome. We are three quarters through, I am so sad, but really excited for next week at the same time.

-If you've seen the episode you know what it is about ;)-
I am going to miss all of them like crazy, and we still have angst coming our way...
I am so sad right now.

I miss my weekly Corn Salad Binsenjo dose more than I would miss my right arm.
