Yeah that Russian Roulette scene was outstanding, I have rewatched it twice since I finished the episode.
Agreed that it is getting darker, but the comedy in this episode was at an all-time high for me. The writers balance the two so well.

The last 10 minutes were so freaking intense I am still reeling.
MASTERCLASS of an episode, the best one yet (I say that every week but still). Perfection doesn't even begin to describe this episode. Both freaking gun scenes™ had me shaking, which is saying something since I am usually as emotional as a stone.
Special kudos to Song Joong Ki and Ok Taecyeon for their absolutely mesmerizing performances.
Tomorrow can't come fast enough. I am going to roll into a ball and drown myself in tears of anticipation until then.

I am 50 minutes into the episode and I am laughing so hard my abs have abs. An Ki Seok is wrecking my bias list so hard right now OMG. This drama is in another league, my expectations that were high before the show began are shattered. This will probably stay as the best drama in 2021 for me, even though it is still March.

I thought about it too, even though in Grey's Anatomy he has his hand inside the patient's chest pumping his heart or something, that was way more intense xD

If there is one thing that YAMH has that Vincenzo does not, it is Xing Kelei and Mi Ka. This fictional couple is my absolute favorite thing to come out of 2021 so far.

I don't have a preference between the two, they are so different that I can't compare them, but I am completely invested in both of them and I love them both equally. I do think the ratings for YAMH are way too low, but for Vincenzo the ratings are where it should be for me for the first 10 eps (that's just my opinion though).

I love this drama so much! The pacing has been slower the last few episodes, but it really makes the whole thing more authentic. There is no melodrama (which is great because I strongly dislike melodrama), no forced love triangles, even the action scenes are pretty legit. We are just following the high and lows in the life of ordinary people.
I already know that when the series ends, it will be a feel good ending, that's the vibe of this show. No dramatic event is overplayed or stretched out too long, life goes on always. It is a very optimistic show.
Also Mi Ka and Xing Kelei need to stop being so adorable (my heart explodes everytime they are lovey-dovey), they are just the sweetest pair, and Sandra Ma and Bai Jingting are shining in their respective roles.

The problem is, Shu Wenbo is leading Xia on, giving her hope. Sometimes he acts cold towards her, and other times he is nice. So Xia hasn't given up yet because of his behaviour.
Shu Wenbo is not playing hard to get, he is not that subtle... he just does not know what he wants and it has become a redundant.
Yes to the second part of your comment, hard agree of Dr. Shao and Xing Keyao, and of course Mi Ka and Xing Kelei.

The third couple is actually pretty interesting to me, I wish we would see more of them. But I agree about the second couple.

OMG exactly! And then afterwards acting all jealous and sad... I laughed, bruh you made your bed, be a man and act like it, not like the victim you think you are. Is it really the assistant captain because is not very bright, He confused Xia so much sending her mixed signals... I know they are endgame but right now I don't really root for him...

Yes! That first scene in episode one is the one I have watched the most as well. It is extremely well filmed, the organization of all the little details put together is brilliant!

I had really high expectations given the cast, the writer and the previews I had seen.
This drama has exceded my expectations so far. I hope the quality does not drop in the second half, but I have faith given what we have seen so far.

Yes! This is so stupid considering Xia made it clear that she was not into Luo Feng but Shu Wenbo. No need to be self sacrificing when the girl likes you back ugh...
Half of the last episode was about the relationship between Xia and Wenbo, and there is literally no evolution since the first episode. It is always one step forward, two steps back, it frustrated me.
I'd rather have more of Xing Kelei and his medical diagnosis, or Dr. Shao and Xing Keyao. That couple has a great history and such potential, but they are barely developped.

Shu Wenbo was so irritating in the last two episodes, my blood pressure skyrocketed every time he opened his mouth, he is so wishy-washy, and it makes the whole back-and-forth between him and Xia a bit boring like you said.
