I remember really enjoying this drama when it aired and looking forward to the release of new episodes. The thing is I watched it like I would a light romantic comedy, so I overlooked the flaws. I just rewatched it and I probably don't like it as much as I used to, because I became aware of things that I ended up disliking about the drama. The main problem for me is the female lead, I really don't like her, the character is not well written IMO. On the rewatch she came across whiny and bratty for some reason. I ended up skipping a lot of her scenes. Also some of the medical stuff bugged me, I am not a medical professional, but some things were way too unrealistic and I couldn't get over it this time. However, I still loved Yoo Shi Jin and the second male lead, their bromance is great. I liked the action scenes too, they made things a bit more exciting. The cast was good for the most part. I rated it an 8.5/10 at the time, it might be a little bit lower now.
I can't wait until all the secrets are out and they can finally battle it out without pulling their punches. Vincenzo in full Mafia mode will be so epic to watch, this is who he is after all, a consigliere for the Mafia. I feel like the writers tried to make us forget that by giving us a soft Vincenzo, so that when he starts doing what he is used to do back in Italy it will have a huge impact on the viewer. I am so excited, the second half of today's episode was fantastic.
In Ep 23, XKL noticed something wrong, he can't shoot properly as he used to. He go to do medical checkup and…
Noooo I was hoping she would not go abroad to study... They mentioned it in one of today's episodes and I hated the idea as soon as I heard it. I just saw the series trailer today and there are a lot of sweet moments between MK and XKL that we haven't seen yet, so I'll stay hopeful. And thank you for the spoilers, I love spoilers so much!

I 1000000% agree with you! Bai Jing Ting is my favorite part of the entire show TBH. Yeah for 3 or 4 episodes it would be an interesting plot to focus on, but not for like 10 episodes... We will see, I am still excited for what's to come :D
Woah Tvn decided to replace him even after he vehemently denied the allegations and is taking legal action against…
I'm spitting mad... This is exactly why some celebrities are driven to taking their own lives. Even if they are innocent of what they are accused of, literally everyone will turn their backs on them. All of this because media outlets and the public opinion are so powerful that everybody is scared of them. In my eyes, they are behaving very poorly in terms of image by removing him from every program he was scheduled to be in. Knetz are killing his career. Imagine the frustration, when you know you have nothing to be sorry for, but you still have to apologize and you end up blacklisted everywhere. SMH I can't believe this is happening.
For those who have seen the previews for ep. 21 to 26 and who understand mandarin, what is wrong with Xing Kelei, does he have a medical condition? I don't want him to have to resign, he is such a badass SWAT leader...
Where can I watch the preview? I am so ready for more angst, I eat angst at breakfast.
Thank you for the link! I like angst because it changes the pace in a drama and makes it more interesting to watch. Otherwise I would be bored. So far in YAMH there isn't a lot of angst, all the characters are nice and most of the dangerous situations they are in don't feel too dangerous (it is not really a bad thing here, I like that I like all the characters). I am really excited for more drama (not too much though, I really like the road that the series is taking so far)
I love the police aspect of the drama way more than the medical aspect. The police scenes are very exciting, I am completely invested in them everytime. I do wish there was more action in this drama, but that's only my opinion and it does not take away from how much I anticipate each episode. The main couple is so sweet. They are both so innocent, it is actually very refreshing in this day and age.
Bai Jingting is so good. When I first saw him in Rush to dead summer, I thought he was just an eyecandy with idol…
This my first ever Bai Jingting drama and I am very impressed! He really is great at conveying subtle emotions, and I love how awkward and innocent Xing Kelei looks out of uniform, really charming. Also he is so good looking, that's the cherry on top. I will start watching Ping Pong, I can't get enough of him now.
Two episodes go by too fast, I can't get enough of this drama! I am so happy I started watching it, it is so good. Also Xing Kelei and Mi Ka are the cutest thing in existence. I have rarely been this invested in a fictional couple before. Bai Jingting is doing such a fantastic job playing Xing Kelei, I love the duality of the character and he portrays that flawlessly.
Thank you for the explanation! I have only watched a couple of cdramas and everytime the dubbing made me drop them. And yes in some situation in YAMH it seems that there is no dubbing at all, which makes it all the more organic. Another great quality to a great drama.
I am up to episode 14, and I have to say I really like this drama so far. All the actors are doing a fantastic job, there isn't one unlikable character (which is a first TBH), the plot so far is great, the chemistry is there, especially between the ML and FL (they are the cutest). I can see why people compare it to DOTS, but I don't feel like both the dramas are similar. DOTS was way more melodramatic, which is why I prefer YAMH. I do have a question, is this drama dubbed? Because if it is, the dubbing is seamless.
Just wanted to show my love and support for the amazingly talented yet humble Xiao Zhan. He is a pure, kind soul and deserves the world. I hope he knows that he has many fans everywhere around the globe, he has at least one in France anyway ;)
I did not think it would happen, but it did!
That made my day :D
