Hi! I read somewhere that the official Youtube channel is supposedly going to release uncut episodes starting with episode 5 and onwards from monday next week. Does anyone know if it's true or just some kind of misunderstanding?
OMG I just have to say I loved this show and is still obsessing about it. It was everything that Imitation was not (too much fluff and barely scratching the surface of the dark) and I really liked how raw, dark and realistic it was. For once I think 12 episodes were too short and the normal 16 episodes would have fleshed out some of the themes that the show tried to tackle (especially the one about Stella). Writing, directing and acting were excellent in overall, no one stuck out like a sore thumb in terms of acting (although Ji Han actor can definitely improve lol). I also don't mind that there was no direct romance although I shipped Jenna with the CEO. I still feel sad and upset at how underrated this show was and how bad the live viewer ratings were (Hani said in interview afterwards that it felt like she put her scars out there and no one cared, that was so sad to read), and I feel that it was partly JTBC's fault for barely promoting the show before it aired. I knew more about Imitiation before it aired and had no idea what to expect from Idol, it was pure luck that I checked it out from pure boredom. I'm so happy I didn't miss this gem of a show, it's crazy how much I miss it since it ended.
