Is there really need for that? People started dying from the 1st episode itself. And I'd like to think, everyone knew how it'll end. But maybe they thought at least Eugene and she would survive.
I don't want to criticise or use the word 'deserved' because every single episode, every single character, even the evil ones, was a joy to watch, but I feel, the ending should have been a little more fulfilling, since so many and significant ones at that, died in this fight.
Is this a remake of some English tv show?? I am just 20mins into the 1st episode and it feels like I have seen this somewhere, this story....no, I remember these dialogue(subtitles) being said just don't remember the faces or the name of the show. Or maybe I am watching it again just not remembering the 1st I watched this. Edit: After 3 episodesit still feels an exact remake of some English tv show.
Not saying it wasn't good drama, mystery about a housewife could hardly be anymore intense. But there have been some dramas like that and some of those are quite good. It is a good drama but those actors are very good at their jobs so I think they deserved more, better.
It a very nice thriller show. Good things about the show : Doesn't lose its pace. The ML's attitude doesn't change throughout the drama. He stays the same. No polishing nothing, which made me like this drama even more. He never shows any fake sympathy or compassion. He lives in a world of facts which take him through his painful past. Mind you he doesn't show any signs of pain or trauma as it happens in kdrama romcoms. FL is a bit too cheerful and nosy(not too much) but he manages to keep her at a distance from him. Thankfully, she is rich and not suffering from any past trauma(except for the discrimination from her family because she's a girl) which happens in almost every single kdrama. All the supporting characters do exact roles except maybe Stella Hwang(that english was a bit good but the accent makes it a bit cringy and then her love story is what I skipped through). There's some light comedy they do. At later stages, it just feels like a bit too much of twists and turns in a single case but they recover through it and keep the show interesting. All the cases were good and filled with mystery and keeps us interested. Some stories had very humane endings. Although they end it at a very fast paced episode I thought they could've extended it some more episodes. Also, they didn't show too much corruption in the system(which is the main plot for most crime kdrama). I wouldn't mind if a new season starts tomorrow because I'd definitely watch it.
It was a nice drama. I liked every single character and their individual stories. What I didn't like was the love story of the two main leads. It's very amateurish. Although it might be the plots fault that the drama was a travel tour and so some time in each episode is dedicated to actual tour. And so the time for their love story got reduced as they had to show about others too. So we don't get to see genuine scenes between these two. Except for San MaRoo's stoey I felt for every character. Especially that father-daughter story, loved it.
Don't watch it people.1st 15 episodes it promises to be so much. But after the departure of the 1st actress everything…
Storyline narrows down to a mere revenge plot and her personality changes from mysterious to a vengeful person. Then comes a disappointing end. She uses law to her advantage but never to help wronged people. And then she goes on tv and complains about how rich use the loopholes in the law. After all the finger pointing she, the real criminal, once again gets her way without offering any real solutions. This ending made me feel more wronged than the victims in this drama.(EDIT: not literally, I was just too angry at this show & I wrote this comment still hot on anger) I liked the detective but he's just alone in his investigation and so he's always 10 steps behind. In my opinion this show doesn't do justice to any of the characters involved. They get developed good enough but there's not a well-written ending for any characters. They are all left hanging. I binge watched it and so I am feeling very frustrated right now. Someone should have warned me about this one.
Don't watch it people. 1st 15 episodes it promises to be so much. But after the departure of the 1st actress everything changes drastically. Contd in the following spoiler.
I want to scream at this synopsis. It says" but how far can love develop when you only have a limited time left to live?" You don't even give them a chance to let their love develop.
Spoiler alert!!!! 》》》》》》》 》》》》》》》》 He dies 4 episodes before the ending, before his illness could kill him.
If you haven't watched this til now and don't want to watch this then I tell you ABSOLUTELY NOT to watch it.This…
If you weren't as much invested in the characters, I am happy for you as you can move on from this show quickly (that wasn't the case for me, you'd know if you read my earlier comments on this page). For me only his role was heart-wrenching although she lost all her family. but that was just the motions of the crime involved in the drama for me. And thanx for that as I never thought of it that way, giving him a break, haha. Really thanx. But I really wished you would like this show.
Can someone talk me out of watching this? I don't want to get sucked into 16 episodes of soul-crushing depression,…
If you haven't watched this til now and don't want to watch this then I tell you ABSOLUTELY NOT to watch it. This story is about rich people being rich and rude and poor people being poor and powerless. So there isn't anything new as you must have seen many of that kind of dramas. The main lead actress didn't do such a good job. She just keeps screaming if she doesn't get her way and it really wasn't beautiful to watch, those scenes. She's just obsessed about her sister. There isn't any romance or comedy to it. It's just all so depressing. People have been complaining how they are all sad and depressed after watching this. A little spoiler---> 《The main male lead dies well before the drama finishes》 Need anymore reasons??? Here's one more Once you start there's no going back.
Agreed! I was ready to drop it by episode 14, but I still felt I should see how it will wrap up, at least for…
I too watched for the sake of those 10 episodes but also hoping to see some sight of him again. Although I didn't get to see him, so I was a bit down, but it made me look past the let down and appreciate their effort to give a nice end to it. It was a positive end for everyone involved(main leads and us).
She could not be affectionate towards him because his personality was hard to love. We get to see first hand what…
It is hard to fill that emptiness, but the 'living has to go on living' as they say. So you should find another good drama to watch(like how I found Return and LetMeIntroduceHer to watch) or else if you get stuck here you also might need treatment like the actor KimJungHyun himself. And that is absolutely not what this drama was about(especially SooHo was absolutely not about that). I wish you find something do meanwhile.
I found this series to be dark, bleak, and intense. It was hard for me to want to turn it one each week, because…
She could not be affectionate towards him because his personality was hard to love. We get to see first hand what he did for her as we are the audience but she didn't always know what he actually did as he himself would never tell her or never did anyone else for that matter. She was so consumed with what had happedned to her sister that she didn't had time to think about other emotions. Also at the time he was engaged to another woman and she knew of it. So thinking about SooHo in any other way would have been wrong of her. By the time his engagement is broken she repulsed the life these rich people lived and given the chance wanted to take them down by being one of them. And that is why she asks SooHo to marry her. And if you look at her expressions it clearly tells that it wasn't because she needed his help or wanted him to help her. It was purely because she had decided on to make use of SooHo. Time is also another factor. Just as she was thinking more about him he has decided to go to US but ends up dying trying to save her. We see her trying to make an effort when she tells him to come back healthy to her and when he gets tired at the orphanage she takes water to him. Those were the moments, I think, she was ready to accept him at least as a friend. Seo hyun does seem inadequate and her character does too but that's just it. That's why the writers made sure to tell this character to not regret the things she couldn't do for him. SooHo's exit was unexpected for us and left us with an emptiness and the writers tried to fill that emptiness in the final episode after everything had been taken care of.
Or maybe I am watching it again just not remembering the 1st I watched this.
