Lom: "ther is no one in my life. I admit that the circumstances might have led him to think that way"I'm sorry....."might"???…
Agreed. Even with the wedding being the idea of Yiwa and Marine, they both told Lom to tell Nuea that it was all an arranged marriage to keep their parents, specifically their mothers from knowing that Yiwa is a lesbian with a long-time girlfriend, and Lom is gay.
I get that him keeping Nuea in the dark was for dramatic purposes, and in the original novel, but it just made me see Lom as a selfish jerk. Having Nuea's boss and co-workers come to his aide, to try and keep Lom from knowing where he went to was commendable, because they could have told him, due to him being a client. They had Nuea's best interest and concern in their minds.
I am actually entertained by seeing Ja cast as love sick fanboy Punn and First in the role of the reserved Ashi. It's allowing these actors to have the opportunity to portray different roles from their previous series.
It wouldn't be a Thai BL, if there wasn't the unnecessary and over the top character or two featured in it for the comedy aspect of it. That's how I view the two managers. It's giving "War of Y" but not as toxic as those two managers.
So, Arthit has never revealed his hatred about Thann to anyone in their family throughout their childhood? The older adults never took the Mom aside to tell her to stop her constant negativity towards Thann?
I am not really bothered by Meena not being able to tell the truth, because that waffling is apart of her desperate need to find a sense of family for her.
I'm bothered, that this supposedly close family, has literally turned a blind eye on how these two men have been raised in the same family.
I think it's dropped way lower than "Fahlanruk" and is now in "My Boy" territory.A suicide attempt and attempted…
Well, at least on the YT upload, there was a disclaimer advising the audience to "not attempt" the things that were shown throughout the self-harm and attempted rape scenes. If this was in the early years of Thai BL there wouldn't be any sort of disclaimer at all, and the jaunty music would have been the background music. 😱 😱
Isn't it just annoying and disappointing that this is what Thai BLS have reduced itself to? Don't get me wrong...…
"We get very few top tier Thai BLS these days, the rest are just nonsense and nfsw... This reminds me of the recent polls on gagaoolala where people choose nfsw scenes over a solid storyline... At this rate, the BL industry will never get the recognition it deserves. It makes me feel bad for the actual good BLS out there. How are people going to find out about them when the shows that get popular and are all over your Tiktok fyp page is only about sex and sex and sex."
I think that future viewers of BLs will just have to dive in head first, without any sort of BL 101 course on what to look for, just like I think many of us have done in the past. I always have high hopes for any upcoming BL series that is being adapted from a novel. I have no control over what is being kept in or dropped from the series adaption. I just hope that it makes me want to continue to watch. If it doesn't, I drop it, and wish for more and better opportunities for the performers that were in that series.
As for that Gagaoolala poll, I was surprised at the initial results of the NC scenes getting a higher percentage over actual acting talent capabilities, but then it just shows that for certain viewers, they're not looking for the things that others want, and that's okay. Not everyone is going to like what others do. I am just pleased that we are getting a variety of series, from a variety of different countries that hopefully will be able to satisfy other viewers.
Why was I smiling when Kamol gave a gun to a KID!!! A KID!!! There is something wrong with me god please save…
In UN, I believe that TPTB purposely de-aged Kamol, so that he would appeal more to that viewing audience. Having cast the character of Kamol as he was in the novel makes sense. Along with showcasing Kim as a toy boy. He couldn't get the love, devotion and affection he craved from Day, so he finally gets it from the mob sugar daddy that knows exactly what gets his man off. Which isn't cake. ☺

😃 😀 😄
I would love to see one or many of these Thai based BL production companies get sponsorship money from one of the LGBTQ+ dating websites.

One of the best series that I have watched, since I started my freefall into BLs back in 2021.
