Huai En's "How Dare You Look At Someone Else!" glare to Xiao Bao had me in stitches this morning.

I feel so bad for Huai En. He has had no real loving example of parental love/affection and views romantic love as a negative thing.

Xiao Bao will have to be very patient, and understanding, but he's already head over heels in love with him.

Review We Are
"Only the most demanding viewers—the ones who want food for thought to accompany their sweet confections—will lament the gaping hole where dramatic or thematic complexity would normally appear."

I am one of those viewers. 😃

I'm glad that you enjoyed "We Are".

Great comparison to Vietnam's latest and on-going BL "Under The Oak Tree".

You sweet summer child.... They are ripping Santa to shreds on every platform... I'm glad wherever you are, you…
I really don't get the "traitor" usage for both Perth and Santa. They each parted on good terms with their former CPs Earth "Cooheart" and Chimon.

What did their "fans" expect them to do? Just portray side/support characters, out of some sort of "respect" for their former CP fanbase?!

Sigh. I come from a Western background and was raised in a household that watched American daytime soap operas for 3 generations. BL fans are an entirely different breed of fans when it comes to not being able to accept change.

Title For Him
his appearance was cut and they didn't pay him (Yoon), Him (Dew) and Nail (Tor)...
"Obviously, this isn't just a problem in BL, but it seems to happen A LOT in BL."

And it will continue to happen, until the Thailand government looks into establishing rules regarding how these production companies are vetted.

Have these performers received their compensation yet?

"I remember back to Ep 1 when Moo's mother told Moo about the Idol life, and that it was a lot uglier than what people realised."

And that was when Moo had no idea how much he was going to fall for the "nice guy" that gave him a toothbrush in a restaurant in his dorm building.

Moo back then didn't think that he would have to give up anything or anyone of importance in his personal life, because his sole focus was on becoming an idol.

He fell in love. That shouldn't be the thing that prevents him from being able to pursue his career, and I feel that's the point GMMTV is making with this series.

When watching Vice Versa I would never forget episode 11 in which Talay's friend a girl tells him her mind about…
Thank you for being truthful and honest about the JimmySea fandom reaction regarding the Sea situation.

I am dumbfounded that certain folks continue to try and deny that what has been written regarding Moo and Kang's situation as unbelievable, when almost every other month, we see some other fandom losing their minds about what one of their idols has done in their personal life

Sadly their "unconditional" love comes with a condition
"Excuse me, from where? If an artist is unhappy - how can they give fans what they don’t have? That’s a straight road to depression and worse. Let them live! 😔"

Those are the questions that certain fans never ever want to address, because then they will have to understand that their "idols" are actually human people. That they're not solely in this world to just entertain and please us fans. It's their job, but they should be able to have a life outside of their career.

very well said. it's a very tragic side effect of wanting to pursue fame, but a very real one, and I commend Only…
"And what better if the series also deals with the world of idols, addressing the underworld of this industry, the ins and outs that surround it, which, in fact, is not often explored in BL."

"City Of Stars" delved into the world of the Thai BL industry and the "sacrifices" that many of these performers face regarding having to keep their private lives private, and away from the public, especially regarding their so called "fans". One of the main leads in the fictionalized story, basically gave up his career, because he wanted to be able to continue his relationship with his boyfriend.

I just don't understand why certain viewers want to put blinders on when these stories are featured in these BLs.

See there are only three options in such a case:1. Choose Love2. Choose carrer3. Choose carrer with a hidden relationshipNow…
"idk why ppl are commenting that it is again the same Love-carrer trope..I mean what is wrong if the drama is sticking to the reality..!!??"

I think that for some viewers, they don't want the reality of this Idol vs. Love drama. I'm saddened by what happened, but not shocked by their breakup. This is a reality that many idols, actors, actresses, and performers in Asian entertainment face every damn day in their careers. Look at the fallout of Bright from 2Gether, Freen from Gap The Series, Seng from Secret Crush On You, and the numerous KPop/JPop idols that have to issue press releases, apologizing to their so-called "fans" about them not revealing that they've had a secret romantic relationship with someone else during their career.

Heck, let's look at the inane fallout regarding the TayNew Instagram live, in which Tay was shown to be kissing Gun on screen.

It's all utter insanity, but nothing that was shown wasn't based in reality.

"(Perhaps displaying a Korean cultural attitude that self-worth derives from wealth? Or at least a disdain for the poor?) "

Ding. Ding. Ding. Why is it when BLs, specifically KBLs focus on the cultural aspect of wealth/disdain for being poor in South Korea, folks don't get it? Yet the same situation is understood in KDramas like, "The Golden Spoon", "Numbers", "Boys Over Flowers", "The Devil Judge", "Reborn Rich".

Really? Is that a series? I thought he was just filming a student short film. lmao
It's not even in the same category as a student short film. Spent months waiting for this tripe.
This was just a lovely film and I loved how Ayumu work wife constantly encouraged him to move forward and accept his attraction to Ryoma.

Ryoma's directness was refreshing to see. He made it clear to Ayumu that he's interested in him romantically.

Title 4Minutes
Ha, another beyourloser trying to make themselves feel better.Don't you have another fan meet or fan appreciation…
I just wish that the more manic fans of Build would accept that he's on a different path entirely, because he can't get hired in the Thailand entertainment industry anymore. Build understands, has accepted it, and is moving on with being ready to go to ANY country that has someone willing to find venues for these fan appreciation gatherings. If he was really sought after, he wouldn't be able to do these events all the time.

Title 4Minutes
Bro chill! What's with all this hate? The show hasn't even aired
Nope. Once 4 Minutes airs, I expect that we will get even more unhinged postings from the Blue Heart Fundraisers who think they're showing support for their guy by continuing to trash anything associated with BOC, Pond, Bible, and anyone they feel has "betrayed" Build.

He was the one that played a huge part in blowing up his own professional career and personal life.

Yessss finally a BL with leads who are mature age!!! Too many high school / college BLs I've been craving for…
Ako does save herself. She knew that Miyata didn't feel the same towards her, and when he proposed to her, out of the blue she rejected him.

He had the room decorated. The right lighting. Enough privacy for them both, but everything was so empty.

I think Ako has probably wanted to break up with Miyata for awhile, but she kept hoping that maybe, one day he would start showing more direct interest in her, without it making her feel like he wasn't doing it out of obligation.

The timing of this series is perfect. It's entertaining, but also makes me think about the positives and negatives that come with being involved in the entertainment industry as a professional performer, and us fans who enjoy these series and these performers.

I feel like these production companies (well, StarHunter at least), knows that there is a major issue in that these actors/actresses/performers shouldn't have to give up too much of their privacy, and choices that they make in their personal lives, in order to continue to pursue their professional careers.

Kor and Namsom shouldn't have had to end their relationship, for his professional career to continue, and certainly not for the public harassment of Namsom to stop by total strangers.

I feel like Fueang has been slowly getting Krom used to the "lifestyle" that comes with being in the public eye, as he is as a performer. Yet, I also feel that Fueang is so much in love with Krom, that he will eventually end up wanting to give up his professional career, because he won't give up on his possible future with Krom.

Fueang wants to be Krom's everything.
