I love how this crazy, little gem of a show, focuses on being true to yourself, having friends in your life, that will be your cheerleader, along with being the voice of reason (when necessary), and that you really do need to love yourself, in order to be able to love someone else. Sky and Nuea absolutely love, and adore who Toh, and Jao are as individuals, and the men, they are in love with. Daisy, has an abundance of self worth, but has never met anyone like Intouch, that sees, her for who she is, wants to be, and doesn't have any issues with being seen as her man. It's really refreshing to see this in a BL!! Very refreshing!!

Your post is wonderfully precise, and brings logic to what could have been an amazing storyline between an arranged marriage, so that both Kuea and Lian could be on the same level in their relationship. Right now, Lian holds all the cards, knows everything, and chooses to keep Kuea in the dark.

Agreed, and as you highlighted above, in another comment, Kuea really hasn't lied about his true self. He just hasn't felt comfortable enough, safe, or at ease in being able to reveal himself, to the folks that should be the closest ones to him, his family, and yes his fiance from their childhood, Lian. To me, it's quite sad that Kuea feels that way, and for his fiance (who is completely aware of Kuea's truth), but continues to put K
him through these mind games, makes it even more of a horrible situation, for Kuea to be in.
Them making love, still doesn't change anything, regarding Kuea still not feeling 100% secure in himself, or Lian's love for him. What happens, when Kuea eventually finds out that Lian knew about him, from the very beginning?

Well, since these issues, are nothing new, IMO I still don't think that folks, who do see red flags, or comment on the "trash" connotations, need to not bring up those concerns, with the BLs that they're watching.

Individuals can choose to ignore those comments, right?

Sadly, that is very true. I wonder as viewers, and fans of BLs, is it an unwritten expectation of us to not say anyting that gives us pause, regarding what we've just watched?

Agreed. Everyone, who watches that series, highlights the really stronhg, and tight friends groups, that are really supportive of one another. I hate to bring that series up in this community thread, because it seems to hit a particular sensitive spot regarding some past situation with the former pairing of Zee and Saint.

It comes across, as like Yi is constantly comparing himself, his successes, his mistakes, his losses, to what happens in Lian's life. Their need to tell each other, how things are progressing, or not progressing with their significant others in their lives. Lian, appears to be, in Yi's mind, the "Alpha" to his "Beta", and that makes him desperate for Lian's approval, over what he does or doesn't do with Diao.

Ageeed!! Only 4 more episodes. I guess we should all just continue to "wait and see!!"

What I find interesting, is now more viewers are basically coming out and saying, that there is no plot to be found with this series, as more episodes are shown, and that their continued interest, is due to the fan service aspects of it. That's not a bad thing, if they're getting something out of spending 45 to 50 minutes of their time.

It literally was during, the airing of the second episode, that the "plot" went out the window.

I wish that some of these directors would stop using those high sheen filters, when they film certain scenes. The actors, portraying Poon, and his brother, looked like porcelain dolls.

I really enjoyed this series, and I loved the messages of being true to who you are, and your sense of self, is still much more important, than how good looking you may appear to others, or your social status. That Ikeda's presence, and involvement with the "Cool Boys" group, that school, and the tournament, along with their older sense-sai's help aka manipulation, got them to become united as supportive friends, as well as competitors, was lovely to see.

But, we got tongue, so that makes all the difference. 😏

But, isn't that what's expected of the "Seme"? To make sure, that he's the one in charge, in control, and making sure that the "Uke", is constantly making sure that he's pleasing his man?
