Haha I love your idea. Kengkla is indeed a BIG WHY this series become toxic. I never thought about TechnoCan before,…
Yeah, I'm glad you can appreciate the ship. XD
I went into the series not knowing who would end up with who so from Techno's and Can's first interaction I kinda got interested in their dynamic. I realised pretty quickly that they wouldn't end up together and TinCan was kinda fun at first but in later episodes didn't really feel all that interesting to me anymore, especially with those awkward kiss scenes. And then Kengkla.... Yeah :/ When I realised noone else shipped Techno/Can I got kinda disappointed. I found only one single fanfic of them but that was it XD.
AePete was great, TinCan I didn't care for, the other two ships sucked. It's sad cause the drama had potential.
How I'd rewrite the series if I had the chance: Keep AePete's storyline the same, keep Tum and Tar's storyline but make it entirely platonic and brotherly. Kengkla dies a (oh so tragic) horrible death in the beginning. Tin gets therapy, finds friends, works through his family issues. Can/Techno is the only sideship. Can keeps annoying Techno into buying him food, Techno eventually runs out of money and realizes that he likes that boy. It's wholesome and funny, they find happiness together.
Hm, didn't notice that. I'm a little hestitant when it comes to slurs used in translations though. It could be just the translators fault. I don't speak thai so personally I'd like to know if the original thai word that was used is a slur as well or if it's a mistranslation.
My point was it’s kind of disappointing that they made him act like that in this as if there’s only one way…
I do agree that they should cast more openly gay actors. That being said I don't think it was meant in a malicious way in this case, the character was just supposed to be a bit more feminine and it didn't feel overdone. Frankly I didn't even notice it until you pointed it out, granted I'm new to Thai dramas and not really used to the language yet.
So yeah, casting someone who naturally talks that way would have been good but actors asjust their voice and demeanor to fit their characters all the time so to me it didn't really feel like an issue.

The main characters of BL series are almost always traditionally masculine and manly. Way too many of those series also make fun of feminine gay men and depict them as predatory and/or undesirable. If anything there need to be more main characters in BL who talk in a "gay voice".
I really don't know why this series is getting this much hate. Yes the main character is homophobic but it is internalized homophobia, something a lot of lgbt people sadly deal with before coming out. The other characters pretend to be straight to appease him which is mostly played for laughs. It honestly felt very relatable and was simply hilarious. He does eventually realize he was in the wrong.
There is one sexual assault scene(not between the main couple) which was taken seriously and shown negatively throughout. One non-consentual kiss(between the main couple) which was also called out by the main character's mom as something he shouldn't have done.
Honestly, sadly I know way too many BL series with non consentual kiss scenes. Yes, it is an issue but I don't see why so many people here are focusing on this one series when plenty of other ones are way worse and only play it for laughs or depict it as romantic when this series actually tells us that he was in the wrong.
