Great start, Tiring Ending.

Starting this drama gave me a sense of nostalgia that I have been missing from new dramas but it lasted too soon. Having the familiar roller coaster ride of a typical budding relationship (the struggles of admitting one's feelings, getting caught up with love triangles all while managing to go through the hardships of the relationship itself, and overall circle of friends interaction with the whole thing) is good for a storyline but having it get repeated again and again but different situation with different new characters can lead the viewer get tired of the whole series.

Given the situation Nao and Hisashi were in, I sort of understand how the story managed to establish the connection of both characters to push the story forward. Although given that they are still highschoolers and gaining their respective guardians permission to continue their set up of living is also a good plus.

I must say, I stayed throughout the whole series to see their relationship bloom and hoped that they would come out of it stronger than ever but... I WAS UTTERLY BETRAYED. Why? Simply because the Hisashi did not learn anything from the past situations they went through. After all the dramas and heartbreaks both acquired, he stayed nonchalant and unbothered with only a slight chance of giving Nao the lesser bare minimum of butterflies she needs that makes her stay in the relationship (WHICH DISAPPOINTED ME SO MUCH).

Nao, I understand that she is hopelessly in love with Hisashi, kept on accepting and tolerating everything and just get over all the heartaches and pain she went through after Hisashi gives her somewhat a vague and every so lightly LOVEBOMBING; like, why would you stay in a relationship that would have you go asking and doubting yourself whether you deserve it or not. She is plainly (and utterly painful, if I may say) a "PERFECT HEROINE" that knows no limits as to how they see everyone, especially Hisashi, in good light which ticks me a lot since in reality, no one will ever be that extensive in continually giving everyone the benefit of the doubt.

And then there's the "Newly Married Couple", Hisashi's brother and Yuri. I can't with them at all. I understand that they are still new to the whole "marriage" thing but one knows how to keep things between each other with certain boundaries all while getting to have a good pep talk from people you truly trust but these two (specifically Yuri), kept bothering high school kids with their problems and having them solve their problems for them most of the time. Yuri is aware of the younger brother's feelings and yet kept forcing Hisashi to come back home to her and her husband which doesnt make sense given that being new to the married life will make you want to spend more time with the person you actually married ALONE. I understand that they are worried about Hisashi but he did say and showed they that he can handle things on his own and he is old enough to be able to keep a certain distance from them to give them space. I wont be talking about the older brother since his story is pretty much a good cause of a misunderstanding, having him want to think first before going about consulting everyone. His only mistake would be consulting someone he shouldn't have approached, being his ex.

I like other characters in the story, though. Their circle of friends are so patient and so understanding to the leads that it saddens me how they were not highlighted that much. Issei and Daichi truly deserved better. Daichi is good big brother and I can sense that he could be a good boyfriend too, only if he went for someone that is more mature and has a good head on her shoulders. Issei, on the other hand, did have someone chase after him but due to his nature of priorities, I understand why he couldn't commit to knowing that person (especially that person did go overly aggressive in approaching him, which lead to him being scared than being touched). I also like how he did try to acknowledge and entertain his feelings for Nao but didn't continue in the end and just settled to keep things the way they are. He was matured enough to duel Hisashi about it but accepted defeat. I wish both character would be given a better ending and love story of their own.

OVERALL, this drama is good if you want to keep things light but I wouldn't recommend it for the plot. I am all for the go during the earlier episodes but I was just keeping myself from punching a wall for the rest of the series since they just continued having problems that are the same with the previous ones they already had. The worse part of it all is that the main characters don't even show much of a character development from all of it. It was a good run but won't be rewatching this.
I am still trying to convince myself to watch the 2nd season at this point, but we'll see.
