Vee and Dome's sexual tension in episode 5, the close ups and camera angles definitely reminded me of Director Marco Berger's films lol. They definitely delivered allll of that!!
I really liked this last episode. I like how everything is coming together....Am I the only one that thought when Gram kissed Eugene it was his way of somehow kissing Black (like that's the closest he thinks he'll ever come to kissing Black)? That was my mindset as soon as he kissed her but that could be me just watching waaay to many psychological films and series right now lol.
I hope this show gets more reviews...I just finished the first episode and although it starts off different from what the synopsis suggests (only my opinion tho:)) I liked the first episode! I liked how different it is from the usual cold ML and weak FL; in my opinion from watching the first episode it seems their relationship will start off more natural than the usual....
OK someone who I replied to deleted their comment and I kind of feel bad about it eventually I don't think I did…
You didn't do anything wrong at all, this is a thread to discuss different perspectives on the show. I was trying to understand his/her opinion on why he/she said what they said not to discredit their opinion but to understand it and try to give an explanation on why I think Hira chose Kiyoi over Koyoma.
I don't see where my profile picture comes into play in this conversation, but nice to know you're familiar with the story lol... I don't think Kiyoi ever toyed with his emotions as you put it. Kiyoi clearly doesn't know how to show emotion which is why he comes across as he does, is it right to some people? No, clearly; but it is what it is, Koyoma himself pointed out to Hira what Kiyoi said about him and Hira still defended him and liked him over Koyoma. Koyoma can be as nice as he was made to be but unfortunately for him that wasn't what Hira wanted.
In what way did Kiyoi use him? Are you referred to him sending Hira to stand in line and getting him gingerale? From Hira's perspective he enjoyed doing those things for Kiyoi...and how did Kiyoi toy with him? I'm not understanding what you mean about that part... Hira was comfortable with Koyoma because he saw him as his equal, he didn't see Kiyoi as anything but a God, that's where it differs. At the end of episode 6 we all get to see how comfortable he is with Kiyoi once he realizes he's the same as him;)
Hmmmmm...I don't think Kiyoi is a "dick" as you put it. I think he's misunderstood and no matter how nice Koyoma is Hira just didn't like him like that.
I think White going directly into impersonating Black is because he still holds those childhood memories of who…
I understand what you would like the show to convey but as of right now it's giving a confused White who appears to be passing as his twin brother Black...it's only been 3 episodes so far, and within those 3 episodes they've already unpacked alot of things. In episode 3 they showed use of social media when Yuk wanted to look up Unar so whose to say they won't eventually include more use of social media as the show progresses?? As for Tod helping him learn about his brother, we had a glimpse of that with Tod teaching him how to ride a bike and telling him to drive a certain speed or he'll look suspicious....I'm suggesting w/ the supernatural affect of White feeling what Black feels; White assumes because of that connection he does have an idea of what his brother is like.
Lmao fr tho he even was like this dude doesn't stand a chance dating me ever even tho he was already hella attracted…
I didn't think I was comparing, if that's how it came across that wasn't my intention. Some people are only speaking on Hira's character and I was giving my own perspective of how i interpreted it....Hira not thinking he has a chance puts a barrier between them because his thought process is like you said; that Kiyoi is unreachable to him. Yes, he stared at him and also followed him but Kiyoi created the opportunities for conversations between them. When he caught him at the dance studio, Kiyoi heard him out and looked him directly in his eyes while literally in his face which in turn Hira took a picture...when he confessed to Kiyoi he was in the moment lol (I just think he wanted Kiyoi to know that if he didn't matter to anyone else that he mattered to him)...everything Hira did was a reaction to Kiyoi's actions. Mind you Kiyoi noticed Hira first when Hira was taking pictures of Captain Duck and he stared at Hira as well. They were stalking eachother but Hira's pov comes off abnormal because of the way he does it while Kiyoi's seems more natural. This is all just my interpretation of it though, we can agree to disagree:)
Ok guys, I have something unpopular to say and I am wondering if anyone else out there is feeling the same as…
I think White going directly into impersonating Black is because he still holds those childhood memories of who Black is/was in his mind while coming to the realization that he doesn't know Black at all. Black was trained by Gumpa (per Gumpa's dialogue) and he's going to train Black again; "to be like he once was" which could imply that this is deja vu for Gumpa (if that makes sense). Since White has came back to the group since episode 1 as Black, everyone within their circle has called him out for how different he's been acting. It's only Sean that finds it strange and Gumpa who instantly wants to "retrain him." As far as social media, if I'm remembering it correctly, didn't White and his dad move out of the country for 10yrs?...Unless they actively get online to search up things about Black and really dig into his past (which they may do in future episodes, ya never know)...and unless anyone knew the twins as kids within their group;...how would they know his twin is really an imposter?
Lmao fr tho he even was like this dude doesn't stand a chance dating me ever even tho he was already hella attracted…
Exactly, just for him to eat his own words lol. Hira was fine being on the outside looking in...Kiyoi kept trying to include Hira...(like when he sent Hira the very first time to stand in line for them) it was Hira who chose to sit at a different table then them...when he went and grabbed their food in episode 2, AGAIN....it was Hira who chose to sit away from the group. He's always been the one that kept the distance between them!
