What I find interesting is that if Gumpa knows he's not black, why purposely have him share a room w/ Sean?? Does that signify that Sean and Black weren't that close, so he puts White w/ Sean because Gumpa thinks Sean won't know?? Or is it the opposite? Did he have them be roommates because he knows Sean knows that he's not Black?? Lol

I really enjoyed reading your review:D and I agree, but i don't have a favorite character yet lol...I think now that there's a two week break with some shows because of the holidays more people will probably pick this up while their waiting.

Everyone is saying how weird and creepy Hira is, but can we acknowledge that Kiyoi was the one that INITIATED everything lol. Kiyoi was curious and attracted to HIM all on his own. :D

When I watched episodes 1 and 2, it seemed to me that he knew from the beginning.... But after watching episode 3 and listening to his conversation with the graffiti artist (if I'm just going off of their conversation) it seems he really doesn't know. Lol

I finally watched the first two episodes and this show is starting out strong!! It seems to me that Sean knows that White is pretending to be Black, it's how he says certain things to him the way that he does that suggests that imo. (This is pure speculation because I haven't read the novel)....I liked how in the bike race with White, Sean obviously slowed down lol. As for the 2nd potential couple, they look promising. I especially like the picture he drew of him in class;D

I think Kiyoi ordering him around was his way of protecting him but making it seem otherwise...I understand that to some people it doesn't make sense and is wrong in their eyes however I like to think of it as him protecting Hira in a sense by being the one to do it. Mind you, he wouldn't let anyone else order him around, even Kiyoi didn't do it as much, only after something happened (if that makes sense)....Kiyoi calling him "gross" was really him deflecting. That word is a defense mechanism for him, in the last episode it's made clear that his "gross" isn't mean....the show honestly tamed Hira's obsession and stalking down alot lol.

Your opinion isn't hated, it's valid for you:)...it wasn't shown in the show but in the novel Kiyoi definitely tries to make up for the way he treated Hira in HS as he goes to his house for rehearsals while also trying to drop hints through his actions that he likes him. Hira (from his own POV in the show) enjoys every bit of what he does for Kiyoi because that seems to be his love language. Anytime Hira's inner monologue had an issue with being used or felt used it referred only towards Shirota and the others within the group, never Kiyoi.

Until Hira apologized lol. He was so done w/ Hira after that haha

I really liked the entire series and I appreciate all your in depth comments all throughout:). Hira needed that emotion from Kiyoi understanding that he always mattered, it would be nice if they made S2/S3 following the novel. I really want to listen to the audio cds but there only in Japanese and the subs won't auto-generate to English which is unfortunate for me lol

I'm starting to believe "Kimoi" is Kiyoi's inner freak talking, because when Hira put that finger in his mouth Kiyoi was READY!!

Rewatching episode 3 and seeing how everyone turned on Kiyoi, I realized that when Shirota spilled the juice on Kiyoi and told him to go and get more he also included Hira as someone to get juice for as well (as if making him part of their clique and switching Kiyoi out with him). At that moment Hira could have easily turned his back on Kiyoi but he didn't....instead he chose to stand up for not only Kiyoi but himself, in that moment he felt powerful and he had had enough! I love it❤

The fact that Hira always had the advantage over Kiyoi and didn't know it...yet when he realized it...he understood his assignment lol

I really and truly appreciate being able to watch the subs from GaGa and I can't wait until Lollipopsubs and Stwsry sub this episode! Each translation gives an entirely new meaning to certain scenes, if that makes sense lol. While I'm waiting and rewatching, I'll still be on Viki watching and waiting every week as if the show is still ongoing, since their only on episode 3 lmao

Season 2 would be nice. I like how the dynamic changed between the two of them in the end, I just hope that S2 exceeds S1. In my experience of watching bl's, S2 tends to not meet the expectations of S1..Idk if some follow a novel or just go off a whim bc of popularity but sometimes the 2nd season can be a hit or miss imo...but interestingly enough I've also realized that for those who don't like the first season of a drama, they prefer the second season while those who like the first season don't think the second season meets the bar of the first. It's not all the time or everyone that does it but it happens. From the comments I've read about the second and 3rd novels, if they follow them accordingly it should/could be good lol

Lol at this point i don't think they would care, it would be made to further put down this show smh. I get that this show is not everyone's cup of tea but the finger linking comparison to bad buddy's is just...lol.
