IF INTERESTED IN KOREAN CUISINE IT'S FOR YOU.

The show was aesthetically pleasing....it had stellar cast, both main and supporting casts.Fair warning to someone planning to watch it with the expectations of it being a good old fashion sageuk...well its not.Indeed it has the palace politics, but its not that intriguing. This drama focuses on the food then the romance is secondary and lastly palace/throne politics.I believe it started on a high note then midway it hit a plateau and just maintained it, neither going up or down.I am a person who watches a drama as the episodes drop,so with this drama i watched the last 3 episodes together cause i had no tension build up as the episodes dropped.I survived a whole week without watching episode 10.So with it ending i just wanted to know how it ends but wasn't really pressed about the ending...its an easy watch. Also those who had thoughts that it resembled Mr. Queen were never heard of after the episodes aired because it was WAAAAY different to it.The only resemblance was the chef character going back in time, other than that Mr.Queen remains different.

Don't watch with BL or Bromance expectations

This drama is not getting the attention it deserves or rather people are somewhat underrating it and i believe its due to its cast being young talent. It is a good watch where the male lead is indeed inlove with his girlfriend's personality/soul or whatever you would consider being inlove with who a person is deep down.Yoon Jae's feelings do not change despite his girlfriend turning into a man he hopes and believes his girlfriend will return to her 'normal self'.I believe the casting was deliberate because Yoon Jae n Ji Hoon(male version of gf) have more chemistry with each other than Yoon Jae and Ji Eun(actual gf).The lady playing the girlfriend tends to be forgettable as she does not have much screentime apart from the flashback and the few moments she changes back to being a woman.Ji Hoon has great chemistry with everyone in her social circles, from the bestfriend to the parents. So he really stands out in his character, even when fighting the love rival. The love rival is somewhat too much because Yoon Jae has clearly expressed he is not interested in her but she totally ignores him and is forcing herself on him too much.Giving this series a chance is not a bad idea.

Upgrade neighborhood watch.

Something about this drama reminds me of Seoul Busters.Came across a reel of the scene of the supermarket hostage situation and i decided to watch it.They are upgrade of the neighborhood watch, solving cases in their neighborhood smartly. They never rashly tried to handle the cases but approached the situation with caution. When the women band together they are a force to reckon with and a menace to their opponents. There are certain comedic moments just had me doing a rewind especially the marriage of the ex policewoman and her cop husband.I think they did the minimart lady dirty by giving her older character a really old husband....By the time of writing this review there are rumors of a second season, hope they don't drop the ball on it.

That town should just be named Hopeless.

This was great movie that everyone did live up to the title, each and every single person in that town was hopeless...even the guys in power.I fell in love again with Song Joong Ki, despite him being a leader in the gang,he had a soft spot for the young kid and really wanted to help him.I liked his character. The young actor indeed deserved the award for Best New actor he portrayed his character very well, strong yet fragile. He was not a bad kid but the circumstances around him were just not letting him win even an inch. Also why wasn't him mum ever on his side? That was just sad.The chain of events that led him in killing the one adult who had his back was indeed sad.The one who was suspected of tampering with his bike was not culprit yet got punished...the one who did tamper with the bike was in his own hell. Despite their bickering the step-sister cared for him deeply glad they left that town together.I would definitely rewatch it.

Its a hilarious series.

Been a fan of PondPhuwin ever since Never let me go(a series ahead of its time),i must say i am enjoying this drama quite a lot. This drama really brings out their strengths as a pair.....Despite the cringeness of Khun Thee (Ponds' character) you get used to it just as Peach(Phuwin) does coz you get to understand them both. Also having watched the pre-lease episode that had abit of behind the scenes and interviews of the cast you get to understand why Pond is really shinning in this role, apparently thats how he is in real life.Knowing that this project was presented to them just after they were done with We are and both of them were in agreement for it,shows they have confidence in their acting and with each other.Although i must say in future Phuwin better look out for a project that won't have him potrayed 'artsy' because if we get used to him in search roles we won't get to see much of his versatility. In Never Let me go he was rich kid who knew what he wants and was confident with himself,in We Are he was an art student whilst in this project he is a photographer...which give him a chill cool vibe.Fish Upon the stars was their one series i couldn't finish,it wasn't just working it for me.I do hope it ends on a high note coz we're on episode 6 and its just the beginning of their dating era while its just has 10 episodes.

Left yearning for more.

This was a good movie that deserves a sequel, because the 2 hour plus minutes was not enough to wrap up everything near and tight. The action scenes were superb, apart from the mission of figuring and capturing Shadow.I got lost as to what the robbers were upto after breaking into the command center.First things first,it was great to see the veterans in it and carrying their weight and owning their characters.Despite mentions of their history a sequel showing the past would really give depth to their characters. How Jackie was an ace during his time and lost his partner then watched the family behind the shadows. Also the past of Shadow and how he moulded his adoptive sons.
Personally i did not like her character, granted she was being looked down upon because she was a woman and had to prove her self but we never got to see her happy.I did not understand why we were shown she was heartbroken when the guy died all the while it seemed like it was a one-sided crush, and it was the guy who had a crush on her.
The robbery crew need also screen time of how they were trained by Shadow.
Last and not least the post credit scene does indeed give hopes to a sequel.

A very very sweet drama.

I very much enjoyed this drama...the couple were utterly adorable. For Japanese dramas this ranks top 5 in my list of all time favorites,it being 10 episodes and over 40 minutes long was amazing. The actors did a superb job and had good chemistry with each other, not only the main leads but with the supporting casts. The production was entertaining with the theatre aspects and narrator interjecting his comments from a viewers perspective.Midway the drama i was wondering why are they still awkward with each other despite being married for a while and i got my answer with the last episode.Yes they were married for sometime but the husband spent better part of his time away and everytime he came back home they somewhat had to start over getting comfortable with each other.

Dont hae high expectations.

This was a decent watch not too bad or too good....i watched it for two specific reasons,Yoo Ah In being in it,i sincerely hope he comes back to the entertainment scene like he never left and my second reason Park Jin young playing a villain.
The movie left me with one major question, If all the recipients received their donated organs from one body....How could the donor body die despite having healing abilities? Also what was the vision all about Park Jin Young saw? Did an evil being want to decend/assend on earth? Or did it want to posses him?
Would have loved to see Tank man get justice from his plagiarism allegations.
Fresh girl/woman at least got her closure with the fireman healed.
The special effects to me seemed abit animated...all in all, like i said...not too bad or too good.

Its not for the simple minded.

This drama is indeed of mature content from the social-political and geo-economic matters being addressed it will certainly have niché fans.Sexual orientation of the characters is more like secondary story to whats going on,we have a hippie who seems to swing both ways,a professor trying to figure out what's going on,a colonel in a forced marriage having an affair with a closetted journalist who also happens to be in a relationship. The relationship lines are really blurred and mixed.Personally i am watching it for the second couple because i am curious how they end up because the setting of this drama is the 1960's so same-sex unions in the country is still a taboo.
The cinematography is well done and i am also enjoying the soundtracks in the series. The thing i am just unable to stand is Tanwa's hair, something about it doesn't just sit right with me.
