I think there's good and bad associated with any entertainment you consume. also too much of anything is bad. like you said, maintain a balance. I am looking for good stories and engaging characters.
As soon as I read the headline, it reminded of one of the most iconic lines from Old Boy- 'The tv is both a clock and a calendar. It's your school, your home, your church, your friend and your lover.'
All in all good wins all around :) Much love to 'Beyond Evil'. Shin Ha Kyun deserves this one. More viewers should check it out if they haven't. This and 'My Unfamiliar Family', both were solid dramas all around :)
Big ups to 'Burning' cast. All of them are doing good. 'The Call' is a pretty enjoyable thriller and Jong Jeon So was great in it. I plan on watching 'Voice of Silence'. Yoo Ah In picks up interesting projects. Congrats to both for the win.
damn. no love for 'Mr. Queen' :( I didn't expected a win in 'Best Drama/Actress' but I thought Cha Chung Hwa (as Courtlady Choi) had a chance in Supporting actress category :/ Congrats to Yeom Hye Ran to winning it for her performance in 'Uncanny Counter' :)
Although I don't live in Japan or know much about their society, I agree with Murakami's thoughts that problem is bigger than it seems. All cults arise from similar place of need which is/are unfulfilled due to failure of mainstream cultural institutions. Its also a symbol of social stress that those people have felt which has skewed their view of world to the point that they only conform themselves with completely radical ideas. this was a very informative read. I'll try to check out the books and movies mentioned.
I do see what you saying. But I like her even so, as she is very frank and clearly a nice person. She do not wallow…
what you said is quite a common template for romcom kdrama FMCs. Nice charming person who works hard as hell and almost to a fault + try to pick themselves up in down situation by drinking a canned beer or saying 'Hwaiting' to themselves + all the things I mentioned in main comment :/
Agree, till now she doesn't give any signs of having any feelings for HT as she is in a big dilemma herself when…
Soo Ryeon's character is compelling enough w/o any romance. Imo it will not harmonize well with 'youth activism' part of her character. Also it would be kinda shitty for drama makers to use this historically imp backdrop for a nonsense love triangle and high school bs.
When he saved her from that truck, her taking his hand was symbolic of their contract getting sealed; so she entered…
I thought she asked for painless existence for remaining 100 days. still don't understand the truck of doom situation. Did he created a situation to force her to take his hand coz she can't die before 100 days originally according to him?
'The tv is both a clock and a calendar. It's your school, your home, your church, your friend and your lover.'
will the makers include Covid in the storyline?
