so... I watched it and I agree that it's really simplistic. I enjoyed it, but it's not quite as ambitious as this (2017) one. I think now that I've watched the 2020 one and know what the sects are, I'll understand the 2017 one better if I rewatch lol.

the special effects in this one is pretty good, and it does a better job at explaining what the characters are doing and their motivations. I can't help but like the 2017 version better though, the actors had more chemistry in that one.

watched it on hulu, I was kind-of confused about the plot the entire time, but it was entertaining! loved Zhou Dong Yu especially. hope there is a sequel!

the untamed!! glad my fave made it to the list :)

only about halfway through the drama right now, but i love how the king in this drama is portrayed. still a king, but a bit more human than i assumed he would be. love all the actors so far!

I loved reading the novel, now I love seeing how the show subverts the censors lol. I'll be watching this a few more times to catch all the undertones and brilliant cinematography.
