For those reading the book, I’ve realized that a sentence in Chapter 2 may have caused some confusion due to pronoun ambiguity, leading some readers to think that Yu Lei’s initial love interest was Ouyang.
The original line: “Ouyang had asked him many times what he looked like, but Yu Lei had always refused, because he simply didn’t know how to describe him.”has been revised to: “Ouyang had asked him many times what the other student looked like, but Yu Lei had always refused, because he simply didn’t know how to describe him.” This change is intended to clarify that Yu Lei is referring to another person, not Ouyang.
i heard the real story yu lei together with ou yang han instead, but the novel is HE

If you haven’t yet gotten the chance. I recommend reading the Authors epilogue called Remembering My Chen Ke 怀念我的陈可by逆旅主人.
Also there were two episodes of a podcast S2E18 and S2E19 titled 《未名湖畔的爱人同志:我和逆旅主人的十一年 》Lovers by Weiming Lake: My Eleven Years with Ni Lü. That might interest you. The description is: Stanny invites his close friend Xiao Qi to discuss his partner, Ni Lü, the author of the novel Love and Punishment by the Weiming Lake. Years ago, Xiao Qi read Ni Lü’s gay-themed novel and was so profoundly moved that he began to live his life as if he were one of its characters. Later, he met the author, Ni Lü, in real life, and their story in the physical world began.

Is there a complete novel (with extended chapters) somewhere?
Are you talking about an english version or the raw version? If english, there is no completed translation. I am working on one right now though, just finished translating the second chapter.
