I'm watching this. The lead is definitely more likeable than Irie of ItaKiss. I like Icchan and Daichi, too, because they're adorable, especially Icchan. Oh, the Tumblr post is true, though, of course, exaggerated. The Ghibli film is referring to Karigurashi no Arrietty which had a sickly male lead who he got to dub (along with Shida Mirai as the lead!). He really did receive a New Year's card before getting that role. And he got the Yoshitsune role in Taira no Kiyomori. It's also true that he likes Bakuman and Rurouni Kenshin. :D

I do think he should learn more on how to choose his projects well in order to show more of his skills. (Suda Masaki, Sometani Shota, and Nikaido Fumi comes to mind whenever I think of younger actors who are good at picking interesting roles.) I haven't watched Kazoku Game yet but Kamiki seems to fit in roles in mystery-psych theme dramas, no? :D
