Is this one of those dramas where the male lead is mean to the female lead, or betrays her horribly halfway through and then acts cute and she takes him back? Those have a place…but I definitely need to know I’m getting into that kind of drama before I start it.

I’m on episode 38 at the grave sight and I keep trying to figure out if he knows already, does he not know yet?

I don’t want to spoil things for you, but a lot of what he does isn’t just for her. It has to do with his revenge schemes. If I remember right, he also got information from the officials.

He is a complex character. He almost takes a second watch to fully understand. His reasons end up being a lot more political than they originally seem. The more times I watch this show the more I feel his red flags show. He’ somehow still lovable so I can see why she’s drawn to him.

I’m a few epsidodes behind, has he found out about her past yet?

I’m not very good at understanding poetry and symbolism. It takes me extra time to sort it out. Could someone help me understand what the feather in the play symbolizes? My best guess so far is a woman’s free will and voice. But I’m only halfway through the play being told to the male lead.

I believe the final time symbolizes the forced suicides that were so common with women.I mean escaping it

This show has impressed me several times with how it’s developed characters and plot lines.

I am so impressed by jier. it was also tragic to see the women forming plans for a free future in front of the female lead. She looked as if she wanted to join them. And oh wouldn’t she just have thrived with that sort of freedom.

I kept making parallels between this and love like the galaxy. So much so that I have made that my other show while I wait for episodes. I even wondered if the same writer wrote both dramas. Both men seemed to want the female leads to flip a switch and love them, regardless of how their actions affected them. I agree…it is like they had a crush or fantasy of what love with the female leads would be like.

It better be a gut wrenching reveal after the start of episode 30. I feel we deserve it

I’ve balled over so many shows. This one caught me off guard.

People who are caught up, has he found out about her identity yet. I’m just starting episode 30 and I’ve never wanted him to know more!

My dad laughed at me when he realized I did the same. Usually that happens at the end of a tragic show.

I’m curious how you felt about them towards the end

I think they have strong feelings for each other, But both are immature in love. Both haven’t received the kind of love that would make them good at loving others. I think her first fiancé was more like a best friend for her, And the male lead was more like a true romantic interest. But he kept trying to force and to speed up affection from her, Something she had never known how To easily give. And trust Was such an important thing to her, That when she felt he didn’t give it to her, She ran. Forgiveness wasn’t something either of them was good at either. I think in the end they will make a better couple for having struggled and matured. But I’ve often wondered if her first fiancé would’ve made A better husband for her.

Another issue is that she always dreamed of freedom. He in too many ways didn’t represent freedom for her. I think because of that she fought against him.

In episode nine the male lead Eavesdrops on the female lead, saying Something like ifsomeone treats me with The utmost respect, I will respect them. I think because Because she felt the opposite of this, She later broke things off with him. The show was so full of foreshadowing.

I don’t blame you. I wish I had waited. I’m impatient for the next installment

It’s so good, I think I’ve watched it at least once a year since it came out. Theres another drama that’s ongoing right now called against the current. It’s different in some ways, and yet has some of the same feeling of being “real”. If you enjoyed this drama you might enjoy that one.
