But if I were to write this show, I´d do it like that too, because it gives us more of an emotional weight to play with, because the mc has time-looped so much that the losses he causes during the 5-day loop, he doesn´t view them as permanent. But from the bosses perspective. this is and will be permanent in that loop. And he´s not only angry at the mc, but at himself too and is taking it out on him.
I don´t want the two main leads to end up together as a couple. I want to see a proper friendship flourish and see them support each other and feel platonic love rather than romantic love.
I really enjoy this show! IF there will be any romance, I´m all in, but at the same time, I´m curious about Tokushige´s past. Because I don´t think he was born that patient and diplomatic. I´d love some flashbacks with his mentor!

I personally wish the story took a different route, but I can´t be mad
