It's that ring under the couch, isn't it? ๐ That thing is key to this series getting another season. . .maybe. ๐ฎ๐ช๐ง๐ฝโโ๏ธ๐๐๐ฝ
I liked Season 1, so I'm signing up if this one happens. . . ๐
You are so generous with this series, I swear youโre watching something else instead of the train wreck weโre…
This show is still comfort food for me and I'm still seeing a ton of positive things in the last 11 episodes. ๐ I also like liver and bacon together, so I'm going to be in the minority of the group most of the time, anyway. ๐คฃ๐คฃ๐คฃ
I feel bad for anyone who has already dropped the series. . .because they are going to miss Episode #12, where Win and Team start wearing white suits, and Win takes up learning the cello. ๐ป
I knew your comment would make my night! I loved everything about the confession! I enjoyed the whole episode!…
Maybe William Holden was a bit too grisly to use as an example. . .๐งโโ๏ธ Wan would have likely had a better worst-case scenario than Bill had.
Bill thought the gash on his forehead was no big deal, so he grabbed Kleenex instead of the phone. . .and passed out bleeding to death 30 minutes later. ๐ Then. . .it was at least 4 days until they found him. ๐ณ
Wan did a lot better with his crisis, but he needs to send a 'Thank You' to Tul in Episode #12. ๐คจ
Most people are probably making popcorn for the finale on Sunday. ๐ฟ I'm making broccoli. ๐ฅฆ๐ฅฆ๐ฅฆ๐ฅฆ๐ฅฆ๐ฅฆ๐ฅฆ๐ฅฆ . . .and opening 11 bags of chips. . . ๐
I really liked everything about the way this episode was put together tonight, and I'm kind of wishing that there is an Episode #13 and #14 hiding somewhere so this doesn't have to end on Sundays. ๐ฅฐ
The guitar scene was a great relief for me to see, both for what Team finally got to express and what Win needed to say. ๐ค The only scene that has topped this so far has been the pool scene in Episode #6. ๐ฅบ It was only fitting that the night at the resort ended with Team putting new fingernail marks into Win's tattoos. ๐คฃ๐ฆ ๐คฃ
Prince & Bee had a very important scene, too, even though our manager friend killed the buzz by showing up and almost ruining the moment. . .especially with the fact that Prince doesn't get a moment to himself, but still made the time to do the balloons and decorations. ๐๐๐๐ Even sunscreen could not separate these two now. ๐๐
I am glad that Dean & Pharm were heading for a restaurant for Valentine's Day instead of Win & Team. The very idea of being able to feed Team with less than $40 US has been a foregone conclusion since Episode #3. ๐ณ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ค๐ค๐ค๐ค๐๐ฟ๐ณ The pizza was probably the best idea to stick with. ๐ฅต
Seeing my friend the broccoli plushie again was probably the best part of the holiday, though. ๐ฅฐ๐ฅฆ๐ฅฐ
I'm curious, like a few others here, what the deal is with Wan and the hard feelings at the hospital, especially with T-Rex being in the same room with him. ๐คฆ๐ฝโโ๏ธ This could have been remedied in 30 seconds with a 'Thank You' for the way Tul basically saved Wan's life with a quick phone call. โ๏ธ
Another reminder could have to been to have him Google 'William Holden' and see exactly what happened to him when he hit his head in the bedroom. . .and never got help to arrive. โฐ๏ธ๐ชฆ๐ I wouldn't be so bitter about Wan's actions if not for seeing Yacht cry after this scene. That was a tough one, too. . .then I was crying. ๐ฅบ
The event did manifest itself in the form of a big family hug afterwards, so that made the whole experience worth it. . .with one episode to go, too. ๐๐ค๐
Seeing Manow and Pruek finally making things serious was just what I was hoping for here tonight, too, even though seeing Sammy in tears shook me up a little bit. Her character has never let her guard down up until now, so that scene was even more striking than the flowers she got for Valentine's Day. ๐ณ They would have to be official by now, anyway. . .he has her lipstick on his shirts now. ๐
I'm not sure what I'm wishing to see with the last episode, likely because I'm not ready for it to end just yet. But, if I held out hopes for 5 more episodes, we'd get there, and I'd probably be wishing for a #18, a #19, and a #20. Then it might as well be July with a #43 & #44. ๐
By the time they roll the credits on #12, however, I will be looking for at least one more instance where Team calls Win "Daddy" again. ๐
I LIVE for your comments! You just said everything I was thinking or wish I had strung together to make a logical…
Another cliffhanger and another plot twist for me to ruminate over with '609'. ๐
Now I'm trying to keep track of which universe Dew is supposed to survive in, how many days they've come back in the other direction, how many times Mint has screwed up all three timelines. . .and whether or not that was Santa in the scene trying to steal the backpack. ๐ฌ๐ณ๐๐
I LIVE for your comments! You just said everything I was thinking or wish I had strung together to make a logical…
I always wonder if I'm wrong, though. ๐ฌ
There's always the possibility that Team is stringing Win along because he actually has the hots for Bee. . .and how irresistible he is with the sunscreen on. ๐ฅฐ
This is defiantly a direct line for a saccharine fix for me! Swoon! What else did you watch today? Did you post…
P.S. - ๐ I forgot to let you know that the ๐'Suki Suki Wan Wan' ๐series is starting this coming Monday (otherwise known as 'The Continuing Adventures of Choco Milk Shake'). ๐
For a while, I wasn't sure if the show was ready to air or on hold until whenever. . .but now it's ready. ๐ค
No shortage of cliffhangers in any of these episodes. . . ๐ฌ๐ซ๐ฌ I think that's part of the reason I'm liking this show so much. ๐ฅฐ
My eyes, however, are starting to play tricks on me. ๐ I could absolutely swear with 98% certainty (and I've still been wrong before) . . .that was Santa trying to snatch Mint's backpack. ๐ณ Either Santa has an identical twin cousin, or I need eye drops. ๐ฅฒ
In the meantime, I'll try to wrap my head around what I'm about to see in #10 next week. . . .likely another hospital. . .๐ฅ
This is defiantly a direct line for a saccharine fix for me! Swoon! What else did you watch today? Did you post…
Bilibili has been the best-case scenario for me, with most of the shows from Japan and Korea. . .sometimes Taiwan, too. ๐๏ธ๐๐๏ธ
I wish Gagaoolala had all of them, but it allows everyone to get their fair share, I guess. ๐ค Let me know if you still can't find it, and we'll keep trying. ๐
This is defiantly a direct line for a saccharine fix for me! Swoon! What else did you watch today? Did you post…
I waited an extra two days this week to go to the 'Between Us' page after I watched it. ๐๏ธ๐ฅฐ๐๏ธ I got to hear a lot of the direct inside scoop about the amount of effort that went into the series, so some of the comments in there lately are borderline uncalled for, even if they are just observations and opinions. ๐ I'm taking myself out of the arena on a lot of it. ๐
The Japanese series is officially 'Goukon ni Ittara Onna ga Inkatta Hanashi', which, I believe, means "I put a second mortgage on my house to finance this series, so it has to get good ratings.' ๐คฃ It ran for the same weeks that 'Remember Me' did, so it has been several weeks already since the last episode. Binge watching awaits. . . ๐ค
This is defiantly a direct line for a saccharine fix for me! Swoon! What else did you watch today? Did you post…
With 'What Zabb Man', I still have occasional nightmares about the landlady at their apartment building. ๐คน๐ฝโโ๏ธ Not dreams. . .nightmares. ๐งโโ๏ธ
I keep thinking the series is going on three years old now, but it hasn't even been a year yet. ๐
This is defiantly a direct line for a saccharine fix for me! Swoon! What else did you watch today? Did you post…
I was thinking of you when I watched Episode #5. ๐ I was guessing that you've rewatched it for a third time already. ๐คฃ
I got caught up watching 'Goukon Hanashi' again with subtitles, and rewatched 'What Zabb Man' (I still struggle with sitcom-enhanced shows). Later on today, it's going to be 'I Will Knock You' and 'My School President', and then I'll get '609' and 'Cutie Pie 2' tomorrow. ๐
I still want to rewatch 'HIStory 5' (I didn't see enough freezer scenes yet this week), and 'Dirty Laundry' again. I kind of rushed watching the first two episodes. ๐
I posted about four reviews before I realized that I was constantly revising them, so I morphed into the comments after a while. I'm 50/50 on those right now, too. ๐
The full moon is now a new moon, and we're still getting a lot of a really Dark Side comments here and abroad, lately. Maybe everyone's New Years resolution was to trash someone else's hard work. Perhaps next week everyone will lighten up a bit. ๐
Lately, I feel like I'm the first person out of 20 to leave a positive remark on a series. ๐
Yes! Yes! And Yes! The adventure is onโฆHey have you been watching The New Employee?
When 'Theory of Love' re-enacted all of those famous US movie scenes, that was magical stuff to see. ๐ฅฐ Off & Gun made that work so well, I was expecting to see it again in another series since then. ๐
Ten episodes in already, and I'm enjoying the ride as much as I was in the first episodes, likely because I'm seeing a few things in the storyline that make perfect sense. ๐ If I hadn't, I'd probably be screaming about a slow pace and pure boredom like a few of the comments along the way in here. ๐
Not for me, though. ๐ฅฐ The twists and turns here are not the usual BL mind games handed to us like we have experienced in other shows. 'My Engineer' came to mind right away, with Duen being on the defensive with Bohn right up until the 14th episode, just for the sake of putting us in agony every week. ๐ฃ ๐๐ฃ
Here, though, Win and Team's levels of commitment don't fall into that trap for a few reasons that I've had to bear in mind as the story has pushed along.
First, Win has given Team insane amounts of breathing room to steer the course of the relationship and let Team go at his own pace. The day of reckoning is soon to come, but Win has always been patient to not force the angst into this series. ๐ซ The patience of a saint is probably more like it. ๐ฌ
Second, Team is naturally going to be indecisive and reluctant to bump things up a notch because he grew up with very serious self-esteem issues and he is going to overthink every situation where he deserves comfort. ๐ข Anyone who doesn't think that they deserved to survive in the place of a friend who died is going to take a long, long time to rationalize that they deserve love or a rewarding relationship.
Hence. . .here we are in #10 still waiting for Team to open up. ๐ฅบ And Win will continue to be patient with all of it. . .
I was wishing, especially on Team's trip home for the New Year, that there would have been some sort of mention that Mom Cow and Dad Cow had Team go into therapy sometime in the last 9-10 years. ๐ฎโ๏ธ๐ฎ I get the impression that they let him deal with it pretty much alone. ๐ I hope I'm wrong. . .they're good people. ๐จโ๐ฉโ๐ง
That's mainly why I'm still patient with the pace of things, why I still love this show every week, and why I'd be happy to see this take 22 episodes to tell the story, if needed. ๐
With that talked to death, there were other things here in #10 that still have me laughing a few days later:
That hat Pharm was wearing to the resort. . . ๐คฃ It made me forget that he wasn't in the Swim Club and they basically snuck him onto the charter bus. ๐๐๐
Team packing his backpack for the resort trip, and pretty much filling most of it with bags of chips. How did I not see that coming? ๐
We have two episodes to go, and we seriously need more Sammy time. ๐๐ฝ I thought Manow's relationship was going to have more airtime by now, but it's taking a while, too.
Also, the great delight to discover that people in Thailand have caught on to the word 'hangry'. ๐คจ I'll laugh until Sunday about that one. ๐คฃ
And, from those who gave us the 'sharing of the ear buds', the 'applying of the anti-septic', the 'sponge-bath wipe-downs', and the 'drunk boyfriend being carried home to safety'. . .we now bring you. . .'the applying of the face mask to promote relationship bonding and healthy skin'. ๐
In Canada, a 'face mask' would force you to take your ice skates off for a while. In the US, a 'face mask' would force you to go sit on the 50-yard bench for a while. Here though, it's helping the storyline as much as the ear buds. I didn't see this coming as a thing back when I watched 'Nitiman'. ๐คฃ
I'll be back for #11 on Sunday, and every week that they want to add new episodes. ๐ฅฐ I'm pining my way towards a moment of truth with 'T-Rex', a moment of acceptance with Team, the possibility of an angry Santa to settle the family angst, and all of the bags of chips and sponsored drinks that they can throw at me. ๐
Before Episode #6, I used to look forward to these episodes with the anticipation of a scene by the swimming pool. ๐๐๐ฝโโ๏ธ๐๐๐ฝ๐
From this point onward, I think it's going to be the beach scenes. . . โฑ๏ธ๐ด๐๐ดโฑ๏ธ
I loved #9, too. . .enough that I'll likely rewatch it again by tomorrow. ๐ค Everyone here has already touched on all of the aspects that I loved about this episode, so I'll just mention my favorite and leave it here :
