Ryo's imagination with Haruto is the funniest thing I've seen so far ðĪĢ
Especially the squeaky toy sounds every time he thought of Haruto. . .ðļðð
That was even funnier than when he referred to Haruto as an "addictive puppy". ð They have my permission to do the squeaky toy sounds for the whole second half of the series any time. ðĨ°
I'm having fun settling into this first night of the series. ðĨ° The setup for the episodes ahead reminded me a little bit of 'My Engineer', 'Nitiman' and 'To Be Continued'. . .which was great because I loved all three of the others. ð
In every case, it took a while to find out where all of this early tension originated from, and it made for great character development. . .so I'm guaranteed to be here every week until January and a while after the Christmas decorations are put away. ðð
I didn't know that Tor and Mix were a part of the cast, too, so I'll be looking for their appearances along with Sammy's and Art's. It's fun to see Oat in a new role, too. ðïļ This is all going to be a fun experience. ðĨģð
Watching Earth act in a scene is always astonishing and enchanting, and it worked out great in every part of this episode, too. ð My wish with this series is that they have given Earth more creative input so we can see him get to show off his dancing skills, pick out his own wardrobe, and to hear him sing. . .but Easter's character might not be written for them this time. ðšð―ð§Ĩððĩðķðĩ
I'll still be looking for signs of the 'Earth Energy' in the episodes ahead anyway. ðĨ°ð At the very least. . .maybe they will let Easter's character wear the periwinkle shirt. ðð
Pond did a great job in establishing his character here tonight, as well. ðĨ His acting skills have improved with every project since 'Quarantine Stories', so he is going to make this whole watching experience a lot of fun, too. ð
I'm three episodes into this adventure and I'm finally recognizing Kad from his role working in the hotel kitchen in 'What Zabb Man'. ðĻð―âðģ He looks a lot different here in glasses and office attire compared to the apron and chef's coat. ð . . .and now he's finally been given a leading role. ððĨģð
Not sure but I'm thinking that Home's grandpa will come back as one of the ghosts they have to deal with.
I was wondering if that would be a possibility in the final episode. . .like exorcising the grandfather to go forth would be the final test for them. ð§ð―ââïļ
Then, I started to wonder if the grandfather is still alive and working with Home's uncle to devise a plan to bring Home back to Thailand, meet Peach and his sister, and use the hauntings to sort out the guilt from the hit and run. ðĪ
Then, I realized I was thinking way, way too much, and I should stick with your idea until the final episode. . . ð
I didn't realize until now that Taem is currently playing Home's grandfather here and Diew's grandfather over at 'Monster Next Door' at the same time. ðģð
I thought the resemblance was uncanny and had to go check the cast list for myself. ð
He has found good company. . .I'm hooked on both of these shows. ðð
With the Equal Marriage Bill signed by the King, and all of the weddings being valid and legal on January 22nd. . .ððĨģððĨģð Maybe these guys can give us a special episode with a wedding for an Episode #13. ð
I love what this series has given us so far. ð I had started out comparing this one to 'You Are Mine' (ML with a cold & stubborn exterior). . .but this one has its own spin on things. ð
I was completely sold on watching all of the series after Ryo referred to Haruto as "a mysterious, addictive puppy". . .so I'll be here every week. ð
The plants are a great addition to the show, too. . .ðŠīðŠīðŠīðŠīð
After seeing 'Bite Me' a while back, I really needed to see Mark in this role here. ð It was like opening a window and letting fresh air into the room. ðŽïļðŠð
I also really needed to see War being babygirl in this episode. ð§ð― ððĨ° Joker is looking to be one of the best scripted characters of 2024. ð
After eight days of input (aptly). . .ð My next rewatch is going to be 'The Eighth Sense'. ðð―ââïļðð―ââïļ This one was never out of the lead since the voting started.
I'm probably going to watch all of these shows throughout the last 100 days of 2024 (including 'Moving' and 'Goblin'. . .which are each going to take about 16:00 hours to see). The only break that I'll make with the Top 10 list will be if I move 'Be My Favorite' into the list before some of the others. ðŪ I'm overdue on a rewatch there.
Thank you to everyone who has been helping me with the tough choices. ð
My impression is solidifying... GMMTV has had a problem creating good scripts lately. I don't want to sound too…
Like you were, I was thinking a few weeks ago about the screentime Off & Gun were getting in this series. . .and how it seemed like this relationship needed 15 or 16 more scenes to watch them flourish and give the series more depth. ðŦĪ
Then I looked back over the last 18 months and kind of guessed that maybe Off & Gun were more willing to be part of an ensemble cast this time around, and not have 85% of the screentime. ðĨĩðĨĩ
Over the last year and a half or so, Gun was featured in half of the episodes of 'Home School' and the big majority of 'Midnight Museum'. . .and then onward into the majority of 'Cooking Crush' not too many months before work started on this series.
Meanwhile, Off had the main role in 'Midnight Motel', then his parts in 'The Jungle', and right into 'Cooking Crush'.
It's possible that they both might have just wanted a lighter workload between the fan service for 'Cooking Crush' and the work on each of their next shows separately ('Leap Day' and 'Break Up Service').
Lest they end up like some of our better actors doing historical dramas in China. . .where I can almost swear that they've all had only three or four days off in the last six years. ððĻ .
Damn, the announcement made me a bit sad...so this is their last series as a bl couple? I hope both of em have…
It might be the TikTok prank that went rampant after 'Cooking Crush' wrapped up in April. I'll believe it only after Off mentions it himself. . .just in case. ðŽ
The closest to a career change that I'd heard of was that Off might be looking at more time in the GMMTV management offices than being in front of the camera. That might not be completely true, either. ð
Absolutely 'No' to the time jump. . .but a strong 'Yes' to everything else in this series. ð The characters were all great and the story worked very well. ðĨ° Off & Gun are always going to be in my comfort zone when they have roles together. ð§ð―ðĶð―
I'll do a rewatch of the series and enjoy it again, although I'll go and make popcorn during the last :12 minutes of the finale next time. ð
