This series gets even better after a rewatch of the first four episodes. π I'm noticing more how Big's smile works great for this character and it's adorable. π
I'm now trying to envision a universe where Big and Offroad are a main couple in a series together, and these two smiles they have will carry us throughout the whole series. ππ This setup here is working great, though. . . π
It also got me wondering what 'Meet You at the Blossom' would have been like with Fluke (Jeeratch) and Copter (Panuwat) in the cast. π§π½π¦π½ We would have had a full cast of dimples for 12 episodes, and we would have passed out in our seats by Episode #4. π₯°π₯°π₯΄π΅
I'm set in stone and hooked on this series already, so the next things on my checklist coming up are to see God in the bear suit again, and to see Diew let a phone ring for five minutes straight, just because as an introvert. . .he can. ππ±π π
Gosh, they're so cute together π₯°I really like that those two have a lot of conversations and that they're trying…
I've been waiting all year for this series, so I was destined to enjoy every one of these scenes. . .and putting all of that aside, this is still a fun series for anyone to get into because of the small details. π₯°
You were 100% right about that. π They really did their homework setting up the characters into the Myers-Briggs personalities, and it has been fun to go down the checklists with each of them. π
As an introvert (reluctantly), I can definitely vouch for rooms with too many people in them, deep conversations vs small talk, and someone outright asking for a phone number or social media. π¨π«£ Having someone want to get beyond our walls that abruptly is the Myers-Briggs equivalent of stage fright. π₯β‘π¬β‘π₯
Seeing how out of place God looked inside a library and how out of place Diew looked in a bar was another nice aspect that they threw in with these personalities. π
This is going to be a must-see series every week for me. . .if for any other reason that God is 100% green flags right now (and no psycho parents and suitors). π
. . .and I think Mr. Shy is going to be OK, too. π’ They usually shoot the quick scenes with the animals and get them back to their owners in Thailand just as much as they would in the US. π In a lot of the BLs, the dogs and cats seem to be roasting in the heat and humidity. . .but when we get to see the behind-the-scenes extras. . .these furballs are pampered even more than the cast. πππββ¬π .
I waited for three months to see a lost episode of 'The Whisperer' get aired (epic fail, there). . . π so I might as well settle in and wait for a platform to get the 5th episode here. π
Before the end of 2024. . .it would be nice to see the original 12 episodes so we get the whole story. ποΈποΈποΈ
*also me. . .wanting to see the Director's Cut for 'Love For Love's Sake' before South Korea edited out most of the romantic scenes. . .* πππ₯°
The actors worked way, way too hard on all of this for it to sit on a studio's shelf after only four episodes. π₯Ί .
Considering that it's a Japanese BL, that was one of the nicest confessions I've seen and heard in a while. π I really wasn't sure we would get it until Episode #11. π
I haven't decided which scene here in Episode #7 was better. . .the confession scene, or seeing Takara laugh while watching Taishin try to eat that bowl of spicy ramen. . . π₯΅π .
Adding the word 'Engaged' to the storyline has given us enough ultra-processed angst to last all of us for the next four episodes. . .so I'm hoping that this latest plot twist doesn't take that long to sort out. . . π¬
We had to deal with the obstacles of 'engaged' throughout most of 'Jun & Jun' and 'Wedding Plan', and we still arrived safely to the other side all right. π₯΅ππ₯°
I'm sticking with Mos & Bank with wherever this story goes, but I'll be a lot happier when our femme fatale has moved onward. π§π½
We already paid our dues with jealous girlfriends from several episodes of 'Tonhon Chonlatee'. π
Up until yesterday, I was thinking that Tao MIGHT have had ulterior motives in this latest plot twist, but I'm guessing now that he was just fooled like everyone else. π
For all of the wisdom and experience that was handed down to him at the Shrine, Tao still brought our latest version of Wad all the way back from Chiang Mai without checking closer on her birthdate and background. π€¦π½ββοΈ Like us. . .he probably just assumed that with Suchat 'gone and out of the way', everything was legit. π°π½
I thought he was in on all of the treachery, but he just got played like the rest of the family. It didn't help things to have Wad in the same room when he dug out all of the keys to show the hiding place for the stone, either. π
I thought I was going to have serious 'Gangster Oppa - Kenji - Mafia Shootout' cringes about the scene at the Opera House, but I was too excited about San and Wee being reunited to be bothered. The cliffhanger distracted me from the fact that the Suchat Gang was too busy being inept instead of knowing how to use their guns, too. ππ¨π½βπΌπ€΅π½ββοΈπ¨π½βπΌπ
I'm glad we have two more episodes. It might take a full two hours to sort out everything we've seen in the last two shows. π¬ .
When Ju cried over San and Veeβs relationship, I cried too.ππ
I really got into that scene, too. π₯Ί . . .so much in fact, that I didn't notice right away that they shot the following scene out of sequence. . . π
When the four of them were by Dr. Third's car and Ms. Wad didn't recognize him, Ju's shirt was already wet from crying. . .even though it wasn't until the next scene at the park bench where she cried. π
I've gotten to love almost all of these characters, including Ju's Mom and Dad. . .even though the Dad played one of BL's worst super-villains in '(Re)Started' . That role still sticks with me. π¬πΏπ¬
I liked this episode a lot and it had me on the edge of my seat, but. . .π¬
. . .I got dizzy spells from the amount of treachery in at least three of the characters here. π«£
I'm guessing that tomorrow's episode is going to head for the ditch just enough to resemble an episode of 'My Dear Gangster Oppa' with Supchat taking the place of Kenji, but I'm OK with that. π₯·π½π¨π½βπΌπ°π½π¨π½βπΌπ₯·π½
I saw a lot of this building up for a while, but now I'm wondering how this is all going to be settled in three more episodes. π The Goddess is Shooketh. . .and I am, too. . .π§π½ .
Half over and zero interaction or even a hint of interest. It is so disappointing.
This one will likely be custom-tailored for another episode or two to bring Jane slowly from Mr. Sarcastic to Mr. Green Flag. πΏπ
I have to remember that we made this same journey to get things moving in 'My Engineer', too. π¨ A lot of us invested our viewing in Ram-King because it was taking until the finale to get the ML on the scoreboard. π
I liked today's episode. . .and had to remind myself that the series might be half over already (?? on the MDL airings usually means it might be 12 episodes, though). π
I'm glad that Ryan picked 'Drive' off of the DVD shelf to watch. π If he had picked out a 'Harry Potter' movie, I was going to scream at the TV. πππ
Definitely go get you one that looks at you with the same sad eyes that Taichi has for Kohei in these scenes. π₯Ί
I'm starting to see the same green flags in Taichi here that I saw with Ryuji in 'If It's With You', when Ryuji was trying to get behind the walls that Amane had built around himself. π
I want to see if we get an Episode #6 where Taichi is back to note-taking AND starts taking cooking lessons from Kohei's Mom. π If we get the latter. . .I'm making bets that he eats most of the ingredients before he gets to cook them. ππ₯π€π±
I'll say this now. . .because I might change my mind by Episode #6. . .but. . . π
JJ and Methas are slowly building up to be the best 2nd couple we've seen since we got to see Chen Yi and his Murder Bunny in 'Kiseki - Dear to Me'. πππ
1979 - "Would you like to stand in the ocean and enjoy your tropical drink?" πΉ
2024 - "Would you like to finish your Granita on the kitchen counter while I search you top to bottom for woodticks?" πππ½π€Έπ½π§π½ββοΈππ½π .
I like where the whole story is taking us so far. . .especially now that San is less stubborn about accepting Vee. ππ€¨
However. . . π¬ I'm not totally convinced yet that Suchat and his evil client "won't mess with us again". I need to see the police actually find the corpus delicti in the car to close that chapter. ππ
It has been too soon since 'My Dear Gangster Oppa' and having to deal with the numerous times Kenji kept coming back and coming back and coming back. π«π€¦π½ββοΈπ«
If this show can stay clear of Suchat from here on in, my only other concern is to see if they save the Episode #9 curse for the part where San realizes that Vee wants the stone to save his grandmother. π¨
I'm trusting the screenwriters a bit much to get us there safely. π .
I'm noticing more how Big's smile works great for this character and it's adorable. π
