This was a great episode, even minus the hormones we saw in the last one. π₯΅π₯΅ #5 went in a lot of directions that I wasn't expecting, but it answered a lot of questions we had. π
Kevin deserved an extra two hugs in this one that Pluem still owes him, too. π€¨ One for being upset and shutting out Kevin. π Two, for seeing Kevin three times in short pants and not reacting. π¦΅π½π¦΅π½π³
I'm going to be a little confused going into #6 to see what happens with See-Nam and Jake.
. . .and Prim, and what she saw during the car accident. π€
. . .and with See-Foon and Jake. . .I ain't convinced there ain't something attracting these two to each other in the last month or so. . . π§β€οΈπ§ββοΈ
There are no disappointments at all with this series, so I'm back faithfully again next Wednesday. π€ I'm trying to guess how many comments will pop up over the next six days about Tod's legs. . . . . .or who is going to use up their merit points first. π
During the freshman initiation, wasn't Gun wearing a name tag that gave his name? And I don't think he ever told…
So far, Gun is doing everything around Golf to be 'Korn' (the architect formerly known as Gun). π₯·π½ I thought he was going to introduce himself as Fiat and ask Golf if he was on the basketball team. π€£ππ€£
I never caught on to the name tags, though. π·οΈπ·οΈ Now I need to go translate and see. π
Edit: Gun's name tag actually does say 'Korn'. He's being too careful. . .π
This was so much fun to read, I laughed too muchπ love the use of emojis too, like you were trying to paint…
I want to make a guess on Gun and Golf, but I've guessed wrong too many times. π
I'm thinking 25% that Golf already knows who Gun is. . .but he's taking his time luring in Gun (like Jin remembering the switched rice dishes in 'Nitiman'). π±β€οΈπ±
I'm thinking 75%, though, if not, that Gun is going to let his guard down and Golf is going to recognize his handwriting somewhere. π
This series almost ruined my OhmFluke ship, but then it was restored with this unscripted embrace. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wxfm6-_e0Bw
I'm stuck with laughter the next four times I watch a movie with martial arts in it. . .because I'm still going to be seeing these magic arrows, Charlie's Angels ninja poses, and the CEO drying her nails in the background. πΊπ½πΉπ₯·π½π€Ύπ½ββοΈπ₯·π½π€Έπ½π₯·π½ππ½πππ
Dustin Hoffman recovered from doing 'Ishtar', so I'm thinking that Ohm and Fluke can tread water away from this one. π¬π€π½
Maybe there's a cameo coming up somewhere and they are the ones that will be coming out of the car in the swamp in 'Ghost Host'. π§ββοΈπ§ π
I had to wait almost an extra day before I got to see #4, but it was worth it. π I read a few of the comments, expecting a lot of faults, but I really liked this one. β€οΈ
I am, however, one of those that doesn't mind a slow build up to a relationship, even if it takes 5 or 6 episodes, as long as the series isn't filled with drunk freshmen, sponge baths and excessive flashback scenes (I'm being careful not to use the word 'Yearbook' in here too often). π
I do feel bad for Name and the background he's stuck in right now. π₯ He is the one narrating this whole story at the beginning of Episode #1, so I'm hoping that his tale comes out the happiest by the time we get to #12. Em still owes him a hug from not getting off of that bus in #3. π€¨
I don't mind Nan's contribution to this episode compared to the last three, but these friggin wigs need to go away now. π§π½π§π½π§π½π§π½ The only way I've been able to tolerate it is to take a step back and pretend that Nan and his friends are part of a Japanese theater troupe. ππ They are going to get the last laugh, though, if they go onward 15 years and become CEOs and wealthy attorney material. π
I like how this match-up with Gun and Golf is starting to get real. It's been building up so slowly since Episode #1, but fate seems to have stepped in to throw these two together in the same room whether they like it or not. I was wrong about Golf being in the same dorm room, though. It gives Gun a chance to make his next stealthy 'Korn' moves around him. π₯·π½
I thought Gun had given away the whole ballgame when he gave Golf the 'Sprite with Salt'. π₯€ He even had that look of, "Whooops. . .what did I just do?" π³
I was bothered earlier about what was keeping Gun from identifying himself, when he had every opportunity to. π However, I can see how they want to stress how shy and apprehensive Gun is, even after his skin became clear and lustrous again. π€ He still hasn't come out of his shell yet, so First is definitely not playing Fiat in this series. π€£ Fiat would have hand-cuffed himself to Golf by now if it was his character. π
I'm getting scared about the repeated Grandfather vibes being sent out with this one, too (flashbacks, pickled fish, Grandfather gets a hug, etc.). π¬ I hope they give him a break for at least six more episodes to keep him with us. . .just because.
If Grandfather and Lucky come to a bad end here, I'm going to be ticked off. π΄π½π¦ Champ was, though, the first one to get homesick on Day One. π
Let me know if any of you see an obvious year in play here. Nan had a sash hanging in his room that said '2548', which would make it 2005, or something close if he hasn't kept it awhile. ποΈ
I'm tuning in next week with the usual high expectations that Name is happy again, Gun gives up the hunt, that Grandfather is still making pickled fish, and Nam burns the wig.
Big DRAGβ¦.on. God this series is a colossal waiting game. Every episode there is little in the way of relationship…
Speaking of that, maybe they should employ a helicopter crash in here around Episode #6 and completely change the plot until the finale. π₯ππ₯π₯
They could hide Yai for two episodes in an undisclosed location with a bunch of magazines.ππ€£π
Hey. . .Happy Birthday out there, Cooheart! πππππ π π π You're special every day, but we get to pick one where we can sing to you. π€£
I'm just wondering, what year is this show supposed to take place as far as Em's freshman year in college? As…
They gave away a secret when Em showed up at the dorm room with Nam, and Nam had a pageant sash hanging up that said '2548'. 𧣠So, that makes it either 2005 if it is brand new, or 2006 if Nam has had it for a year or so, π
It's messy. And Mean ... lord oh lord. I have no words except I'm embarrassed for him. His character is the least…
I kind of sensed a little bit of that already in the last trailer, and I was like, "Don't you dare put Grandfather in a box in the next two episodes". π€¨β°οΈπͺ¦π
As soon as Champ looked too busy to be bothered with family, I knew we were screwed. π
Itβs because itβs an actually queer story with an openly queer actor and itβs not two straight men that…
I wish everyone could take a step back, look at the big picture, and see it from this perspective. Then, maybe, it wouldn't seem as much like we still have a long way to go with acceptance.
In some places around the world, it's still 2005, and in others, 1955. From what I've seen here in the US over the last 6 years, there are even some places that think like it's 1855. π€¦π½ββοΈ
I had always hoped this level of homophobia was narrowed down simply to those who either have their own repressed feelings that they are pushing against . . .or those who own a revised, autographed bible. π¨π½βπ¦°
I guess it will take longer than I'd hoped to get to world-wide acceptance than we envisioned, and your comment was nice to see to help move things in that direction. β€οΈπ
I think I just traveled to another plane of existence.
I just realized that this is probably the first time in a BL over the last three years where Main Character A flopped a completely drunk Main Character B onto the bed. . .and there was no sponge bath involved. ποΈπ§½πͺ£ π
We were all talking earlier about YouTube and DramaCool, streaming with all of the scenes present and with some scenes cut out, and something interesting hadn't occurred to me until now. . . π€
If Episode #12 of 'My Only 12%' or Episode #4 of 'Ghost Host, Ghost House' are being shown in China this week without the love scenes left in, these two episodes are going to be about 9 minutes long, apiece. π€£π€£π€£ 555

This person might turn out to be one of his own friends playing a trick on him or trying to start a background relationship with him (minus the wig).
It might also be the darker side of it, like we saw way back in Room Alone 2, when we saw the 'Cable' identity theft, and our character fell in love with the picture in the profile (and got taken badly).
