Anybody knows if Silent Reading has finished filming? I wanted to ask in its mdl page but I think I may get a…
It started filming around February and the shooting period was supposedly 5 months so I guess it did. But I'm not completely sure since the douban page of this drama is now pretty much dead too (it was useless anyways cause the people there only complain about the cast), and I heard that they recently had to change the location for some reason so it might've affected the filming.
And here I thought, everyone in this comment section was more or less around the same age as us lmao. I haven't come across many adult fans of danmei novels (at least outside mdl) so I believed it to be a norm tbh.
Edit: The replies were eye-opening to say the least, I've been enlightened.
Heard that kfc's Chu Wanning special Pear Blossom drink is going to contain actual alcohol. Not like it's going to stop me or anything, I just hope someone would bail my underageass out of jail. 😌
I'm sorry to bring up this topic but I just opened the page and saw a few more users talking about it so... if…
The comment above is under spoiler because it's not necessarily hyx related, it's about those recent ~danmei adaptions are getting banned bohoo~ rumours, and also quite long so I didn't wanted to torture anyone with these huge chunks of words. XD
I only hope those who are worried about them would open it, since I really don't want to see any junior or senior disciple of our Clown Sect upset.
This article was written during January when the similar rumours were spreading around, except that ZZH situation and the war between WY and ZLY's fandoms didn't happen so there wasn't much panic; but now that it has occurred, these marketing accounts found a perfect opportunity to gain more traffic by making-up ridiculous stuff.
Here's few quotes just in case if you aren't interested in reading the whole article:
"The content could be theories completely made up by the marketing accounts or discussions originate from Douban groups (豆瓣小组), Rabbit area (兔区), or Zhihu (知乎) – some of the most popular forums that gossip about celebrity and entertainment. Anyone – fans, anti-fans, or even professional organizations – can post anything on these free platforms with different purposes." ^ Proves that it isn't hard for antis to spread rumours at all.
"People tend to think something is true if the piece of information is repeated everywhere. Meanwhile, the case can be marketing accounts plagiarizing one another or an organization trying to spread out the information to serve specific purposes." ^ Literally what have been happening lately. No trustable sources came out, but so many people are believing the rumours already just because they're everywhere.
"When marketing accounts become a means to brainwash people, it is used as a powerful tool to promote or defame particular works or celebrities. Marketing accounts with good traffic earn money by publishing paid content by particular parties – celebrity studios, film crews, show production crews, brands, etc. Many marketing accounts are even created and managed by media/ entertainment companies or celebrity studios as a part of their marketing strategies." ^ Ask yourself, have there been any unreleased straight drama that gathered as much attention as hyx? Even the pre-release popularity of 'You Are My Glory' paled in comparison to hyx - which already have 11k comments on a small website OUTSIDE China, you can probably guess how it's like in the native country. So it wouldn't be far-fetched to say someone felt threatened by these danmei adaptions and tried to reduce the public's anticipation in them.
Let's not give them any attention and clown in peace, ok? 🥺
I personally love the whole vibe of this drama. The poster, title, their fashion sense, synopsis, cast. Everything. It reminds me of those old fairytale books that depict strangeness in a childish manner. Nobody has to agree with me though.
I can’t believe I gave up most Korean dramas just to watch Chinese historical dramas 🤡
Mood. Historicals in general are more innovative and interesting than all the modern dramas lately tbh. Ps: You've a great taste in men and profile pics ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
I found this one, mxtx + 2ha 😂https://uquiz.com/quiz/saj8Mp/which-mxtx-main-character-are-you-2ha-for-added-chaos-18-lol
I got Shen Qingqiu and although I do like him, the description 'dumbass millenial. got a job by bullshitting ur way thru the interview. honestly same tho' isn't really accurate because I'm not even a millennial to begin with. But I'm still a dumbass though XD
