I've never seen such a narcissistic man in the whole entertainement industry. Around 30 outfits for Water Dragon, solely for his incompetent, ugly face, while it's completely useless for the story, letting a lot of talented actors in this drama have nothing, most of their scenes cut to solely become accessories of Mr. Luo Yunxi who is not able to let anyone who is not himself having a bit of screentimes, even for one damn second.
Why all the side characters who are more talented and charismatic than him in all his dramas are always rushed or showed in a bad light to not gain the public's interest? Because this anorexic ill man wanted the whole attention constantly on his emaciated ass, probably too jealous to let anyone have one second of spotlight if it's not benefiting him first, making the other played belittling roles with more flaws in comparaison of the ridiculous amount of godlike characters he imbodied.
Playing gods, dragons, fox??? Is it a joke? Did he look at himself in the mirror before having the pretention to chose role that aren't fitting his physical appearance and obvious naricissistic behavior? A huge crooked nose, starved skeletal body who can't carry a petite woman, the face of an old mean witch, and for what? Being a 170 centimeters 37 years old man forced to wear hidden heels under his large pants to reach painfully 175 centimeters???
Why Deng Wei had only one hour of screentime for the whole drama of Till the End of the Moon? When he was the second male lead???
Xia Shunyao , a talented strong man with impressive martial art skills, who had been injured had most of his scenes cut and was presented almost as Luo Yunxi's pet with no spine at his sides.
Jeremy Tsui who should have been the main character is underused and his backstory completely rushed in a shameful way.
Yang Shize had been cut most of his scenes hiding how charismatic, touching he was with ihis mpressive acting skills, solely because that anorexic narcissistic 37 years old man can't bear to see anyone outshining him naturally.
This is a shame, and it shows how pretentious Mr. Luo Yunxi is.
In his obviously starved state, he should heal his anorexia nervosa and stopped wasting expensive drama productions solely to gloat about the thousands of outfits he's wearing. This is ridiculous. Are dramas now mode shows to present clothes with people hiding their faces with too much make ups, or is it supposed to tell stories that can inspire and distract a bit common people from their harsh life?
Because right now I only see a narcissistic man who wants desesperatly to force the public's love by stealing popular shallow tropes in order to stay relevant and liked among young superficial persons who prefer artificial series instead of good written and well-balanced stories.
And honestly, it's not with a huge crooked nose, deathly skeletal body, the face of a mean cruel witch that Mr. Luo Yunxi had the physical aspects required for an actor to embody inspiring, young godlike protagonists. This is straight up bad tastes and insanity from the movie director who are only betting on Mr. Luo Yunxi's braindead fans' money.
I don't want to see an anorexic, narcissistic man who needs to go to an hospital plays god all the time and do the same shit over and over to abuse the public's symlathy. If that person hadn't played Runyu in Ashes of Love, he would still be a nobody with flop romances. Aside of his fans who are a bunch of fujoshis who don't know what are real men' appearances, I can't understand who can support this mediocre man who is a walking red flag of eating disorder and narcissism.
Anorexia Nervosa is the most deadly mental illness with a high mortality rate. A lot of persons, young, adults, old, men, women, are dying each days because of this terrible disorder. I think it's really dangerous and outrageous to let this man ( and other actors/actresses) who is obviously starving himself for narcissistic perfectionnist purposes linked to his ballet dancer lifestyle be shown as a protagonist or even casted in dramas. He's too unhealthy, emaciated, and people who are claiming that it's normal, or a discipline thing to look like this are defending deadly eating disorder behaviors. It's not normal to have all your bones visible like Luo Yunxi. You are normalising people starving themselves, you are normalising starvation and romatisizing it, influencing insecure young people to abuse themselves and get trapped in those horrible eating disorder hells which can break a life for many years.
If anyone is suffering from an eating disorder, please seek help before it's too late. Glamorising an illness, like Mr. Luo Yunxi is doing it is terrible, and an harmful behavior. A false sense of beauty, distorted by a sick mind wanting validation by reaching extreme deadly thinness, is not worth losing years of an existence or worse, your life.
It would be better for Mr. Luo Yunxi to heal properly, instead of being encouraged by enabling fans, until it becomes too late. Aren't you scared of seeing him collapsing again, or worse, because of his long lasting eating disorder?
This man should stop playing god, stop blocking better fitting actors because of his toxic narcissism, and should stop being pretentious.
I'm a foreigner from France, have not watched the drama but I wanted to express myself because I'm tired of the harrassement and cyber bullying Cheng Yi is victim of since May because of Xiao Zhan's mean and cruel fans.
This is getting ridiculous. This drama already had been stopped to be broadcasted in May because Xiao Zhan's fans were scared that Cheng Yi's performance in the Journey of a Legend would steal their idole's spotlight because this man had also a drama which was airing at the same time. (Yang Yang's drama also had been retarded to broadcast too just to let this man have no potential concurrences.) They have created fake rumors and harassed one of the actress in this casting just to stop it from airing, which is already close to mafia methods and shameful bullying in order to promote Xiao Zhan. Is Xiao Zhan so mediocre in acting that he always needs his lustful minor fujoshi femcells from outdated boys love drama to get his way in big production and let his fandom bully without mercy a lot of actors for his own benefits?
They keep harassing, insulting Cheng Yi out of nowhere since this drama has been aired and no one is denouncing them because it's linked to Xiao Zhan's toxic fandom. For some reasons people can't call out this man's horrible fans who are a gang of dangerous bullies. Xiao Zhan's fandom who had harassed Wang Yibo for years because they're delusional about a gay fictional couple, they had been horrible against Yang Zi in Oath of Love: shaming and insulting this beautiful and excellent actress for daring to have romantic scripted scenes with this man, even Deng Wei had been attacked by black hot searches in weibo by Xiao Zhan's fans but no one is saying anything about that!
I don't care about this drama's quality, whatever it is good or bad, crticisms are used to point flaws but also help people to improve, not destroying them harshly for petty reasons. I'm firmly against deloyal, filmsy and cruel bullying methods to bring down a good, honest person's work. For more than 10 years Cheng Yi had worked hard from side roles to become a protagonist in silence, being humble and extremely respectful with his co actors and crew. He doesn't deserve that unhinged hatred from Xiao Zhan's fandom who needs to be called out.
As a foreigner, it gives me an extremely bad opinion on cdramas who were already unwatchable since 2020 because of mediocre incompetent persons paying their way to steal good plots and unable to act properly on screens with ton of fancy makeups and zero charisma. It's even worse by knowing that a lot of honest and good actors, like Cheng Yi are mistreated by their agency and bullied unfairly by mean deloyal concurrents. I hope the bullying will stop and Xiao Zhan's fans will be reported for the harm they're causing.
Cheng Yi has proven his competences as a wuxia actor several times, and always had been discreet and humble. He doesn't deserve that cruel bashing.
Excellent actress with a gorgeous appearance and real elegancy. Her eyes are full of nuanced emotions and she always looks natural and different for each of her new roles. I'm waiting with impatience the Mystic Nine 2 with Chen Yao! It requires a lot of skills to be in this casting, and seeing how she'll interpret the character Huo Xian Gu as the only cold and skilled woman surrounded by all those men will be really interesting. I hope she's not mistreated by the Chinese entertainement where often a lot of talented secondary actors with good visuals and more mature looking are sidelined for popular, incompetent, arrogant and rich brats.
Chen Yao can easily carry a drama, no matter how bad are the scenarists, or the jealousy from others is trying to bring her down. She's a true actress who is not counting on fancy expensive dresses and paid robot accounts to promote herself, but simply act and embody her roles perfectly with a refreshing humility.
She was excellent and full of life in Unicorn Girl, her little role in Fox Spirit MatchMakers Full Red Moon had attracted a lot of attention because aside of her brillant acting skills she naturally looked like a female lead who should be chosen right away in a good story! In Maiden Holmes she really managed to capture in an elegant and touching way this woman charged to investigate. No matter what Chen Yao is doing: side roles, guests, villains, main roles: she's killing it!
It's frustrating to see real talented and beautiful actresses like her blocked because she's not selling herself for fame and money. I hope you'll get the good female lead roles you deserve with all your talents, kindness, patience and beauty, because honestly your appearence and soft demeanor suit more for protagonist female characters than evil jealous antagonists. I wish you the best, and of course happiness Chen Yao. Waiting to see your new dramas and hoping for better roles!❤
ZHAO LUSI CANNOT ACT AT ALL!THE OTHER AIRING DRAMA OF ESTHER YU IS ALSO BAD ACTING!THIS IS WHAT THE OFFICIAL NEWS…
Obvious toxic Zhao Liying troll always insulting other actresses to promote their mediocre star who needs to fuck with directors to earn prizes.
Your obvious jealousy over a young and talented actress like Zhao Lusi is making your messages stink with hatred and lies. Each time a drama has visibility, you come insulting the actresses as a mysogynistic prick to promote your forgettable Zhao Liying.
Mad to see Zhao Lusi loved and complimented as the great actress she is at the international level? Too bad for you, because more and more people will enjoy this drama, so you can spit like a toad somewhere else, troll.
P.S.: Don't bring and insult a great actress like Yang Zi. You obviously can't stand others' talent without acting like a jealous troll. Just watch your annoying Zhao Liying, instead of trying to have fan wars because you have nothing better to do than getting mad at all the dramas where your idole isn't in it.
Bravo 👏 I like your analysis! Finally, someone understands what’s truly going on with the production. They…
I'm not here to start a fan war, and I mainly criticized Kill me Love me as a drama, and how poorly it appears to me in comparaison of my former higher expectations. Not only because I was expecting a good role for Bi Wenjun, but everything was poorly handled in general in my opinion. As I said: Great actorS, bad writing.
I wanted to emphasize the underuse of the rest of the cast involved in mediocre plots in general.
That's the writers' fault to use trendy angst scenario as a bait to sell a drama where they didn't even proporly execute the different plots which leaded to a disappointing mess for me.
Why adapting a too controversal violent novel then completely changing the characters' personality yet using the violent angst of it as a selling aspect?
I defended Bi Wenjun because the way his character has been written made him no favor, and I see plenty comments trashing Yue Qin. Which is fine since it's the character, but the way Yue Qin was used in the plot as a tool was really disappoiting and cheap. Again I'm complaining about the writers here who simply focused on the messy romance toward the leads, but didn't even write a satisfying revenge.
Yes I'm a fan, not a die hard though, but not that stupid. If Bi Wenjun had done something bad, I would have noticed it, even if I can sound biased. But knowing from some weibo fans that some of his scenes had been cut is hard to swallow, especially with how messy and underdevelopped Yue Qin is for a secondary character.
Here my issues are the general unoriginality, bad filmed scenes and mediocre revenge plot. It's not because I like Bi Wenjun, that I'm forced to say this drama is amazing, it would be a lie. I recognized and applaud the actors' work, but the direction sucks. I also like Liu Xueyi and Baron Chen, but the plot was a general huge disappointement, and I'm expressing it.
I saw the moments were all the actors were behind the scenes and it had a good atmosphere, I pointed it out in my comment.
The bad direction with almost every side characters killed this drama for me. I can't watch a show if everything is glued solely on 2 characters and a lot of stories are contrived in favor of the same repetitive dynamics.
Thank you for sharing your point of view, I'm fine if you disagree, and it's good if you enjoyed this drama. For me it was the biggest disappointement of the year. I wasn't watching it solely as a Bi Wenjun fan, but I wanted a good story to be entertained with every characters in, and it didn't work for me.
(P.S.: Sorry for the long answer, it's hard for me to write short messages.)
I completely agree with everything you said, after learning that the novel had a happy ending I’m even more…
Thank you for your comment! Yes, the productors really destroyed any kind of originality to fit in the sad ending trope because it seems to be a trend currently.
I hope too for Bi Wenjun, he's really underrated. And poor Baron Chen wasn't spared from the writers. I was impressed by his performance many times but this role is so poor, with no interesting nuances, just the big evil villain in term of depht. Disappointing writing for great actors.
Bravo 👏 I like your analysis! Finally, someone understands what’s truly going on with the production. They…
I agree with all the points you brought up in your comment, and I'm touched to see someone else disappointed with the side characters' direction, especially with what they did with a young, promising, talented actor as Bi Wenjun.
I saw his dramas, and I was impressed to see someone as calm, sensitive and young bringing so many different characters to life. His acting is subtle, but deep and never the same. He feels what he plays, and even with so few screentimes with Yue Qin, I felt what emotions he wanted to express as the character living trough that mess of a story.
I strongly agree with the point you brought about feeling more empathetic for the side characters, especially Yue Qin. He had everything against him: the writers and camera completely favorising their "more popular/trendy" leads who had everything for them and were glorified as pseudo martyrs by the dull angsty plotline. The productors were betting on what they thought would bring them money, neglecting everything else as a result and turning the drama into a cheap cliche angsty soap opera with budget. It would have benefited the leads too if the other characters were better developped (I think of Yue Qin but also his sister, Luo Mei, and absolutely Baron Chen's character!)
Yue Qin seemed to have been used in this drama as a classical underdevelopped secong male lead third wheel in those infamous horrible love triangle. I was glad to see Bi Wenjun casted in a more mature, dark, psychological drama, but also worried. A lot of promising/ talented actors and actresses are stuck as secondary characters and negletected in stories as accessories for the leads, due to promoting choices.
The Yue Qin from this drama seems to have been created just to be humiliated, suffer and has no right to have a story of his own, which could have benefited everyone in the process. Good point about how he could have just dated someone else in 10 years, especially with his look but also political title. Isn't he a prince? Why does it never matters what he is aside of a third wheel to push fake tensions between the leads???Everything he did was for the sake of putting in highlights Mei Lin (as if not enough characters were glued to her already!) He lost his dignity, his childhood friend, his sister, had to endure his father's madness, and none of this was shown respectfully but tossed aside to make him a hatred magnet for those blindly shipping the leads. It's sad. And despite the cut scenes where were put 6 months of efforts, lost, the few times where Yue Qin was in, it brought me a smile. Not because of the writing, but because of Bi Wenjun's quality of acting which only improves with time.
I honestly hoped, and prayed for him to have better written roles in mature shows (Wuxia, Xianxia, Thriller, Psychological series like Link Clink) as a lead, because I don't think Bi Wenjun should be sidelined in villains and second male lead roles. I mean, it's hard to miss a 188 centimeters tall prince boy with great acting skills like him!
Happy birthday Chen Yao, I hope you'll have the best and shine, as you deserve!
Excellent actress with a unique, gorgeous beauty. Her acting skills are vast, always surprising and I'm schocked that a pure jewel like her is so underrated and not casted more as a female lead in SSS+ drama.
The intensity of her eyes solely are brillant through the screen. Sadness, anger, joy, it's litterally mesmerising to see each of her deep interpretations, despite the lack of screentimes and care her new agency is showing to her.
She deserves much better but seems clearly blocked when it's about to get new roles, and I wonder why, and how such a talented actress like her is neglected? Especially with the current mediocrity of cdramas!
Movie directors preferred to bet on incompetent, repetitive, popular actresses with no talent for money instead of letting refreshing promising underrated persons as Chen Yao having the spotlight for good written roles.
Chen Yao has so many skills: great voice, great dancer, amazing model, outstanding acting, and fighting moves. I never saw someone that talented and that ignored by the casting directors!
What is happening?! It's almost 6 months! 6 months she didn't get any role. She's wasted in side roles to promote other mediocre actors when she clearly deserves better. She has the physique and skills to play anything! Xianxia, Wuxia, Modern, Thriller, she is a female lead!
Underrated actor. He clearly needs to play in a Xianxia with his prince like charisma.
His acting is subtle and doesn't lack in showing a variety of expressions/ feelings while appearing natural.
It's fascinating to see how Bi Wenjun becomes a new different character, with a new aura for each of his roles. Despite being the same actor, each time I see a new person in each of his new dramas.
He really needs good story to play within, as a main lead. He can be in mature themes, romance, and also more fighting universe. I'm surprised to see how underutilised he is, despite his acting talent and natural outstanding beauty.
Bi Wenjun deserves better written roles. He said that he was learning, and even wanted to play as a villain but honestly he should be casted as a main lead, with better female actress.
(It was a refreshing slap his role in I am Nobody, but he had not enough screentimes, as usual.)
I'm not surprised by how mediocre this drama turns out to be. Since the first episode, I was already baffled by how everything seemed rushed, over the top and unnatural with the bad filming direction. Since 2020 I litterally struggle to watch cdramas due to bad rythm and pacing/ and the insensitivity behind the camera. Loud music to force emotions when it's supposed to be the actors' job to carry the show, not the damn Ost and cheap camera plans.
It's just an angsty bad written bait for people craving toxic men, cheap revenge angst and abusive relationships, based on a questionnable novel. The revenge is flat, unexistent and pointless at the end. All the secondary characters are bad caricatures, instead of actual other point of focus. If they wanted to write a romance, without caring about the stories of all the other characters, they should have just kept the leads for whathever stupid cheap "angsty" story they wanted to sell.
I feel great sadness and pity toward all the other excellent actors in the side characters who had no story, no purpose aside of being accessories to the boring, repetitive leads. (I laughed each time Baron Chen's character was on the screen. He just needed a paper stuck on his forehead yelling: "Look how EVIL I am")
They adapt it with clickbait trailers looking more intense than the actual serie which is lacking plot. Aside of the sexual tension brought by Liu Xueyi and cheap angst, it had nothing worth spending almost more than 20 hours watching it, if you're looking for a developped revenge story and are not hooked by the "romance".
The pacing/cuts are terrible, making the rythme of the story dull, forced and not captivating to watch. It's predictable, not original and disappointing for what it claimed to be. The writers wrapped their mind into trying to romantize a problematic novel where the main lead was a sadistic, obnoxious jerk awarded in the end, but litterally turned the questionnable hero into a "poor victim". Yes, instead of assuming how Murong Jinghe was a jerk, they forced all the poor side characters to have more flaws than him, forcing a sickening pity toward the main male lead. It lacked balance between all the roles, which needed more grey nuances, not that boring circus.
Since I'm not a 15 years old teenager girl waiting to drool over toxic, "dark" and poorly written male lead, and that the revenge plot was the biggest waste and disappointement I've seen, I litterally can't sit through this boredom fest, and that's sad because the trailers were so hyping.
It's terrible to see good actors played bad written roles like Bi Wenjun with Yue Qin. Yue Qin was completely different in the novel but the greedy, uncreative screenwriters turned the young man into a forced obstacle against the main couple instead or writing an independent character with a purpose, which would have improved the drama in general. They don't care about the other characters because at the end everything seems centered around Wu Jinya's character. ( and it's always the same with this actress, a lot of characters, men and women are humiliated through the story just to see how cool she is. Clearly overreated after Yanxi Palace, Wu Jinya should really makes a break with Revenge plot since all her interpretentions are the same: cold, stiff, lack of nuances and always showing off without letting the rest of the crew shines enough.)
I'm sick to see excellent actors like Bi Wenjun wasted in secondary, bad written roles. He made a lot of efforts in his acting for 6 months, all of that to be reduced into a narrative plot device badly written for the sake of promoting the main couple! His expression are subtle, showing the different shades of emotions and phase Yue Qin went through. But nope, he has no story, no will aside of being Wu Jinya's character's accessory. And the incompetent writers can't even explain, show through scenes why he is that obsessed with a random woman he met 10 years ago. Worse, they cut some of his scenes! They just wanted to humiliate his character for the sake of the leads, and nothing more. He deserves better. This actor really needs better written roles, as a lead, not an accessory to other actors.
But at least the footages behind the scenes showed that all the actors seem to be friendly toward each others. It's good.
The camera director and screenwriters are at major fault for this waste. They gave up on the writing, just to sell a bland product full of shallow, popular themes among angsty teens to sell it. If the movie directors keep seeing movies as big market moves instead of a piece of art that needs creativity, sensitivity and new refreshing stories, I'm scared of how more mediocre the current cdramas can turn out. They shouldn't bet on actors' popularity, to make sell a product to their fans, but seek for new real talents, and hire writers who aren't lazy and using popular tropes on social medias to do the same shit over and over.
Is it possible to know what kind of role Bi Wen Jun played in this drama? Is he an antagonist? A grey character? Because I have troubles finding informations not centered about the lead roles and I'm gueninely curious to know what he will play. Who is Yue Qin? I think this type of character is a contrast with what is usually playing Bi Wen Jun and I'm really intrigued. I will be grateful to anyone giving me some kind of informations about his role.
iWarrenS2 minutes ago from iWarrenS iPhone 15Liu Xueyi and Wu Jinyan "Spring Flower Flame" (Spring Flower Disgust)…
Why are you spamming Bi Wen Jun's profile page to only promote the lead actors of "Spring Flower Flame"? If you want to talk and spam about Liu Xueyi and Wu Jinyan, you can post on their profile page, like you already did, and the one dedicated to this drama! It's direspectful to use the other actors' page to promote others like you do. You're not even talking about the role Bi Wen Jun played during this drama as Yue Qin, which is one of the darker character he had done, you never mention him and keep spamming all the time his page to talk about others.

I hope too for Bi Wenjun, he's really underrated.
And poor Baron Chen wasn't spared from the writers. I was impressed by his performance many times but this role is so poor, with no interesting nuances, just the big evil villain in term of depht. Disappointing writing for great actors.
Why does it never matters what he is aside of a third wheel to push fake tensions between the leads???Everything he did was for the sake of putting in highlights Mei Lin (as if not enough characters were glued to her already!)
He lost his dignity, his childhood friend, his sister, had to endure his father's madness, and none of this was shown respectfully but tossed aside to make him a hatred magnet for those blindly shipping the leads.
I will be grateful to anyone giving me some kind of informations about his role.
You're not even talking about the role Bi Wen Jun played during this drama as Yue Qin, which is one of the darker character he had done, you never mention him and keep spamming all the time his page to talk about others.
