There is a really good historical cdrama airing now named A Dream of Splendor and both the male and female lead are strong and independent, which is what I loved about the leads in WRTW. However, A Dream of Splendor drama genre is different in the sense where there is no super power and not too much fighting and no jianghu. It is more about regular / normal people, and the very real problems they face in life. Very real friendships and empowerment of women too. And most importantly, a beautiful remance. Give it a try!
