A Thai BL that has substantial plot, and characters that have great chemistry! It got me into Thai BL for the first time in 5 years! Glad I gave this one a try!

Absolutely! 9/10 rating is too high for this circus act. Maureen, Nubile, and the rest of the crew are just salty…
And why should we base our parameters for what is a great kdrama to your opinion? Who even are you? Are you even qualified to comment that? Lol. You do you.
They are haters.. if they like DC just watch DC.. why coming here to complain about it!? LOL nobody ask them to…
DC is such a huge disappointment. Sorry, what are they even bragging about a crappy live adaptation? I have watched the donghua and read the novel, the adaptation is much worse.
Creating this review is one thing to show your own opinion of the series but seeing your replies to other comments that are simply hating, I guess, you just simply hate the drama. Instead of moving on from this drama, you are so invested that you also want others to hate it. The way you want them to validate how you feel. I get that this isn't just your cup of tea but to drag this out, convincing people just so they should be encouraged not to watch it is a little amusing to me. When I give reviews, whether good or bad, I moved on and go find another drama to watch. I couldn't set aside the idea that your agenda is to let people hate this drama. Is it bad for people enjoy drama without being critical? Do we really have to look for drama that's perfectly crafted? Does drama being not flawed exists?
I'm sure, if I say that I didn't like Goblin because of how overrated it was, you would react the same others would react to your comments. That's only fair but I don't go camping on other drama's comments to just to make people hate it.
Don't be bothered by the awful Lovely Runner fanbase, they're an obnoxious bunch that can't stand backtalk from…
You forgot to think it through that sometimes, backstory is not needed to justify the villain's actions coz there are people who exist with that purpose. In nature, some people are born to kill, especially, if it's a psychopath. Do we really have to follow to that all the time?
Thanks for this review. You've said what needs to be. This show is exactly a turn off your brain show, a show…
To each their own. The reason why this is successful despite the plot is because of how simple it was and how it was delivered that captures the hearts of the majority. You should may be find something that resonates your interests instead of dragging something just because you don't like it coz it seems that you don't really like it because of how it was, you just simply hate it and trying to make it seems like the drama is the problem
After watching too many Chinese dramas, this drama seemed to lack so many things; plot-wise, the character's execution…
CGI-wise, Alchemy of Souls is decent. Chinese wuxia or xianxia are really worst with their CGI that is why I couldn't get past the first five episodes of it. The cgi was so obvious. It has high rating but plot-wise, I don't know. It's uninteresting. Character-wise, it's underwhelming. Acting-wise, some are only bearable. Most of the times, cringey. That is why I couldn't really connect with their wuxia or xianxia. I am more into their romance drama side.
Plot: 8.5 (I couldn't give it a 9 for some reasons, especially with how they compressed episode 12 with so many things that need resolution. In fact, character development of some characters was only evident on Episode 12. Although cliche, nonetheless, a great story.)
