To this day I still dont understand when some said they hate the dream arc, I loved it so much....to see the story about Ming Ye and Sang Jiu...was very beautiful and heartbreaking....plus this story had so much to do with the future episodes....many skipped this arc then complain how things didnt make any sense in rest of the drama🤦‍♂️

Well welcome as there is.... The drama is done, completed, from 2021....now just awaiting release,but because of all the BL rustrictions and ongoing bans, When we will actually get this drama, I have no idea.... but Im following the Manhua also....it helps with waiting....lol...

Yes they are the same ancestors and I have also watch other Taiwan BLs which were cool, many uncensored, but when it comes to BL in my opinion interms of looks... Taiwan doesnt have a luo Yunxi, Xiao Zhan, Chen Feiyu and Wang Yibo etc....even if they do, the ones that act in Taiwan BLs doesn't have that appealing overwhelming beauty....As this is fantasy....if Im gonna watch two men showing love to each other, they might as well be gravitatingly beautiful( note: this view has nothing to do with real life gay lovers as I understand in the real world, love comes in many forms)

Trust me I remember about Taiwan but as I stated before there is something special about mainland actors and their censored BLs...lol.... My favorite BL from Taiwan was We Best Love....I loved that series...lol....Till this day I still listen to its OST...I also love some Thai BL....but im not so invested in those first lets be honest here....the leads are not always visually appealing( in my opinion, Im using the best term possibly as I dont want to be rude)....The Korean ones are cute too but still something is missing.... Japan is where I started so( I have seen some very questionable things from Japan in my lifetime in BL and other anime....ahemm Hentai....) which until a found danmei novels ...via The Untamed....my world found what was missing...lol....Imagine if mainland didnt have so much censorship and we could atleast get these BLs as close with the source material with kisses, hugs and impiled ahemmm senses... probably we wouldnt be here now.....we would have died long ago from nosebleed 😂😂😂.... as we all know about mainland situation against BL....If Taiwan can adapt them and give me the same feeling...

Yes the gov are to be blamed for setting up such policies which can be weaponized against anyone or anything. But that doesnt mean they have control over ones thoughts and behaviors.

I also blame Cent as it not one entity.....its made up of so much layers and the competition is so feirce that anyone can use any unhanded method to defeat the other to gain their spot and resources. Directors, critics, producers and actors who hates traffic actors, Bl content, or any idol interferences in the acting scene, tries their best the demean them every chance they get....and this interns is supported by the relevant authorities associated with the gov, as their views are mostly allied with nationalistc arts....

Take for intance what happened to Xiao Zhan that nearly ended his career unjustly.....A CP fan wrote a explicit fanfiction with him and Yibo, Solo fans dont like and report( when they could just dont like , but let it be and avoid as its not for them).... that got gov attention, site got taken down, now fans and users of that site cant blame the gov, but need a face to direct their anger to, knowing that XZ solos did it in his name, he was used as the target enduring one of the worst celeb cyberbullying in China causing brands to cut ties because of all the backlash they got for using him as their promoter....

The point is the gov, would not have did anything then if people just mind their own business and the same person the fans tried to protect , ended up getting even worse in hot water, that the authorities even blamed him as why didnt he control his rabid fanbase....lol....

So other from the gov....there are specific hands who just doesnt want to see these dramas see the light of day, the actors will get alot of traffic, projects, endorsements, overshadows their own actors, dramas, and genre.....so they will continue the reporting, critics and blocking in hopes tgey never see day of light or air when they aren't that relevant anymore....

Similar also with the gun anology....though its the idiot gov...fault for not having control on guns in the country, the one also holding the gun is not blameless as guns by themselves cannot kill, someone is needed to pull that trigger...so its a collective blame....both are guilty in some sense.

How can a casting be so spot on perfect.... When I was watching TTEOTM and how he dressed as poor powerless TanTai Jin... so ethereal, calm, captivating , so weak....I cried as I saw Chu Fei in plain sight....The snow scene where he knelt for days and fainted....just wow!!!....seeing that I really screamed for Immortality airing...😂😂😂....My heart is overwhelmed with anxiety at this moment...like how can one bromancce drama be so difficult to watch....OMG!!!!

Yes I just checked and its relased today and also produced in China and its a remake of Addicted( not sure if its just contain only the bromance or they would go all out or a bit over).... so from what Im hearing is these dramas can still be filmed inside China but will just need to go through censorship if they are to be broadcast in China towards chinese audiences.

So in this case its either our awaited Bls drama China censorship owns them😂😂😂....or the companies just want them released in the Chinese market given the investors and the budget involved in making them...

Other than those, if there no issue, why cant they just stream them internationally and sell the rights to other streaming platforms.

Question is really how does these ones that aired differ from the ones we are waiting on?????

I haven't personally seen the remake so ill have to check... If its in fact tge actors are from mainland China and they filmed it in mainland, but airs it some where else...that would be bypassing chinese censorship by under the table means with actors who are not known. Wonder if they are from Taiwan??? That also could explain why Youku BL got pulled from airing and now others in the industry who have completed BL adaptations will suffer the reprecautions also.

Ok so the completed BL adaptations in China is basically chinese owned and without the government approval those cannot be released in or outside of the country.

Companies like Tencent, Qqiyi and Youku have international branches, where they can get the rights to such BL IPs, make the dramas as true to the source material, and release them outside the country. (Not sure if they can also be watched on the Chinese version of these Streaming Apps)....

The difference is the actors wont be from the mainland China nor the filming be done in the country so the government wont have a say in these.... If actors from mainland participate in these BL dramas knowing the ban on them ...lets just say they just signed their retirement from acting in China...lol

Why these are not really practical is the fact the Chinese market would be the most ideal to get investors and also earn huge profits, as its the most lucrative market to see the cash coming in. Many of these BL IPs already have huge fan bases in the mainland plus they would go for actors who are upcoming and have their own fan bases to even cash in more.

When these dramas are made outside China they tends to be lower budget and not well known( plus lets be honest the men are not that hot like actors in China...lol) as the market for them outside cannot even compare to what mainland has to offer....so thats the reason we see these companies try to please CCP in anyway and adhere to the rules and regulation as much as possible in hopes the dramas can air even if it means to edit them down to the bone as the money they can make in mainland no other market can make up for that... Its just business and Capitalism at its finest.

The original Addicted series was made by Tencent and got canceled for how explicit gay its was and the attention it was gaining from the public to the point the actors were not permitted to associate in public.

Didnt even Know Youku had it adapted under a different name and relased it outside....lol

Well if situation around BL adaptations gets even worse than they already seems to be, probably it can happen in the eventual future or so....but who are they gonna cast??? If they are gonna go full on BL with actual kissing and smexy moments....those actors cant be from mainland China, and expect to return home and their career will still be intact....and most American Chinese actors just dont give the same feeling as the actors in mainland China....in my opinion. Or others like S. Korea or Japan may step in and adapt the story according to their own culture and background... For me there is just something special about Chinese BL adaptations esp. The costumes ones wherecl it would be difficult for any other to replicate.... to the point I dont mind the censorship but just not too much that deviates from the plot and OG storyline and the actual subtle references and moments which clearly shows whats the real relationship between the leads...

Well I deffinately wont deny about CCP being the top dog ofcourse....and how the society have being structure to behave....Even during filming HYX was reported to the relevant authorities for containing inappropriate relationship between teacher and deciple...lol.... so actions were already on the move to sabotage the drama even during filming and eventual release then.... Although many things came from the gov way of managing society.... its mostly still left up to the peoples action. If they dont bring certain things to the gov attention, sometimes they themselves may turn a blind eye, they act when the people report and asked to gov to step in...so as not to be criticized for not doing anything...they will act according to majority wishes to reinforced the narrative they are the perfect gov who cares and act for the peoples best interest building more trust and confidence in the people and the gov. So in this case its basically two peas in a pod..lol

Trust me Cent has some blame as competition in the industry is feirce and many other directors, producers, actors, screenwriters, plus other big weights would rather not have these dramas air, not everyone is friendly when it comes to Bl adaptations as these dramas tends to do very well both locally and internationally and push esp...the main leads to huge popularity overnight and also overshadow other dramas and genre...You think many like the fact that Xiao Zhan and Wang Yibo literally are at the top as most popular celebs in the industry??? Its a continuous internal war, and many of the insiders are affiliated with the government and those who also make complaints about these dramas giving them a difficult time to air....so its not necessarily one entity to blame, its on whole collective level...and lets not forget the crazy fans and their wars that add to fire.

Guys lets go to China and protest infront of Tencent and NRTA buildings.... You think we be successful and not disappear the same day??? ...lol....We need to laugh when times are low so we keep our spirit up....

Tencent is indeed poweful but not even as close powerful than the government. CCP claws are in everything in China and if they dont approve, it cant go through.... so the fact is that they have it up for BL adaptation dramas, so not even Netflix or outside streaming can get these dramas if CCP/ NRTA doesnt approve.

Even if they get the go ahead to do so....the fact is that the dramas are mainland China focused interms of marketing. Thats where the investors money and profits are aimed to be retrieved.... The dramas are Chinese focused in terms of culture and audiences....with the international audience as just the cheery on top of the already completed and frosted cake.... so by just selling rights and allowing it to be viewed international alone, they will lose big time investment wise..... and we know how Capitalistic Tencent is....

You know honestly guys I wasnt watching JITD as its not one if the BL dramas or stories Im familar with but I was keeping up to date and was happy about its airing as that ment there would also be a high chance to get HYX, HOB..etc eventually....but now seeing the news that JITD was taken down from Chinese Youku App and no more episodes will be released and the crew even commented and said they tried their best and said their goodbyes and now also hearing that BL adaptation will remain ban for another 5 years.... Im so sad and deeply angry and hurt by this.

Im also hearing Youku did push unhanded resources to gain its distribution license so it could air immediately so the plug was pulled on the drama....I have no idea what to believe but the fact is this is just not a good sign for us here waiting on HYX for so long.....

I do hope this wouldn't affect HYX eventual airing if it was going to as Tencent tends to be as in-line with the gov...policy as they can be but think about it guys....it going to be heavily edited, episodes cut down, no promotions, plus all this mess now.....I think I literally wont expect much from now on....let me be surprise a month, a year, five years from now. Sigh....

If Immortality is held back for five more years, the costumes and cgi will be so outdated, only the quality story, acting and the actors youth will be preserved. Five years from now LYX will be 40 and CFY will be 28 and I will be 36 yrs old....I was waiting on this drama from 28 yrs old..... What level of cultivation must we bare to survive and see this drama????....

OK....I'll just go back and continue watching The Longest Promise to take my mind of this....as these news just doesnt sit right with me....

Chinese ent industry and their utterly ridiculous uncalled for level of censorship!!!!! The drama is already censored to Bromance....are they that afraid of the level of popularity the leads will gain during and after the drama airing??? Get the crazy fans under control but why attacking our dramas???? Omg!!! All the hard work and effort of all the actors and staff and production team.....Ahhhhh.....!!!!!!

Exactly I hope Tencent dont wait too long if they can air it now as everyone forgot about that CFY thing already and LYX TTEOTM aired successfully plus has another upcoming for September and now its time to give CFY his heat back....I want to see him more in dramas....

While our old souls are waiting and cultivating in hopes if HYX broadcast...lets go see what The Longest Promise has in store in the the Xianxia Summer Battleroyal Competition...lol.... cant go wrong with Xiao Zhan and how beautifully mesmerizing he looks and Shi Ying....But guys suppose...just suppose HYX actually air drops without any warning in August???? Its too good to be true but I think I actually would die of heart failure if it happens😂😂😂....

It was suppose to have a donghua but because of the vague BL banned issue, even season two for other BL adaptations thats had the first season where put on hold.
So at this point we would be very lucky to even get HYX live action....but as I stated many scenes from the original edit, will be discarded because of the recent tightening censorship rules...

Trust me keep your expectations in the romance department very low, I just hope everything that we might have gotten even subtlety... they kept some...cause if its like LONM....ahhh....with hardly or next to no physical contact or stares between the leads....I dont know how it would turn out....unless the storyline and action will cover whats missing....but Im also seeing that the episodes will be cut down....get ready for a maybe choppy editing....At this point only seeing Moran and Chu Wanning in live action, is my main focus cus we all dont know whats left of our precious drama.... The BTS gave me hope for the original edit...but now....lets see if it can or will air first.
