There are many rumors going around new and reoccurring so its best to take everything with some salt and sugar as nothing official other than from last years statement saying they are boycotting/ banning BL adaptation dramas.
*Previous rumor was that these dramas will remain banned until 28, only that time they will be allowed to air....
* Rumors they were allowed to air this year but all BL content needed renoved....only LONM which was filmed as BL but the novel isnt....aired...
* Recent rumor as this comes around every couple months at at various times....Immortality will air this year or next year.
I think the only varified one we can go off is that someone asked someone who works with Tencent, and they say its kinda tricky to air these dramas.
So that could mean various things....its either just not a good time to try and air them, they are banned until sometime, or they can air but need to be completely different and have no attachment to BL content so heavly editing is needed or they can air but only international, but company refuses as they dont want to lose out on the Chinese market as thats the main aimed market for promotion in the first place....
So we all are just sit duck....well...in this case sitting Clowns 🤡....waiting for this drama....
Its totally worth the wait though....Yap im also in The Untamed hole as this drama is similar but very different in its own way.... Plus its Luo Yunxi and Chen feiyu as leads🥰🫠....Im dying to see them as their respective characters in this drama....just waiting to see whats gonna happen...

Yes its in the works for years now....Its rights for production are brought by Lions Gate....I think some delayed happened because of script differences and such, but Naruto original Mangaka, Masashi Kisimoto...is involved...so I have no idea how long it will or may take but its in production alright.

Yap....the friend is in his late 20s or early 30s, got child at 18 yrs old while CMC suppose to married 2 times and divorce and only 26.....so this is a reason why I always tell fans, they dont know these actors at all, who could tell that these two had a relationship more than being friends??? Even LONM....it was filmed to be marketed similar to TU even though its Novel isnt BL....but because of all the extreme censorship now, it was heavily edited....smh...so one can imagine, the difficult time for the actual BL adaptations like Immortality....Even if they edit the hell out of it, the fact that its still linked to being a BL adaptation, cannot be changed...and if they change too much and its allowed to air...Ummmm.... Tencent will face the wrath of fans....I guess they are just waiting if oneday there is a good moment that allows it to be broadcast...so its a waiting game....
At where things stands now....we will get those novels way before Immorality airs... Why are you here spewing all your lies?? The Untamed is a Gay censorship drama!!!! With the cover of it being " Bromance" so they could pass censorship. No amount of distaste you have with XZ acting in a BL drama, playing a gay character will change that.
The "FL lead role" was " rumored" to be filmed because they needed a plan B just incase the original script/ scenes have difficulty passing censorship.....When the fans of the Original Source Material found out about this( the novel fans)....they said they would boycott the drama if they aired those scenes....and ( rightfully so....its a drama adaptation from a BL novel...If the production wanted a BG focused drama, there are endless BG novels that could be adapted...why trying to ruin and use a popular BL franchise with its already existing fans if that was the case) which wasnt so.... as its originally a drama focused on the relationship between the two male leads.....
Its rumored production scrapped that part and stick to the original script.... and production also clarified that whats not suppose to be there, wont be....( Wang Yibo, Xiao Zhan and Meng even joked about it behind the scenes, as she cleared her name that she wasnt trying to take Yibo spot of being the FL...and XZ and Yibo laughed their asses off....lol
