Brilliant Cliffhanger
I loved everything about this drama. Every character was played well. You experienced the gamut of emotions - loathing, sorrow, joy, frustration, disappointment, injustice, compassion, ire.
The bad guys were truly bad. The women were treated worse than livestock, parents used their children to curry favor with corrupt officials, abuse was everywhere.
And yet our ML and FL refused to buckle to the tyranny of authority and wanted to pave the way to where all human beings were treated with dignity and respect.
The flowers were beautiful. Male abusive dominance, manipulation and threats were not. Yet both were living lives that aware markedly different,m. Even though the ML had a reputation of a philandering playboy, it was all an act.
The tacit communication and cooperation of the ML and FL was done very well in both the writing of the script, direction and acting.
While this is a period drama, the battle for female rights are very modern but played out extremely well.
