K-Drama Promising but utterly disappointing towards the end
It started off well with a few plot holes that wasn't a big deal so I felt it was promising but it devolved into the script writers feeling the need to resolve everything in a "win" for the leads.
That's the biggest problem with this show and that's chasing wins which ultimately makes their script cheap and weak with how they resolve things.
My pet peeve is when you present an antagonist that has years and years of ruthlessness but you resolve it like it was a fly on a wall it just feels cheap.
Female lead also annoyed me like I don't like shows that present a person as the "good" one and then she goes cheating like that's so shitty like I could tell the script writers didn't want to come out the bat and paint the female lead as equally shitty so they pulled the trigger back but if she going to be shitty they should have made her shitty from the start and shitty to the very end for the sake of revenge.
Instead they wanted the win, they wanted to present her as the good guy vs bad guy, they wanted to resolve all the bad guys being punished etc...
It's just not a good script and because the script was pulling them left and right the actors couldn't do their job properly.
We also have had back to back female leads on revenge arc this year and heaps of astonishing shows. This one would work better if it was like 5 years ago but this year, this is just weak and cheap.
I was 3x speed at the end and thank god because the ending was just appalling like oh wait we have to resolve this bad guy so we'll just do it this way ahhhh resolved ughh the end.
