She's physically strong but mentally weak
Do not watch this if you're into powers and you think this be one of those power comedies that is light heart take on being a powered individual. Why? She barely uses it productively and each time it's just ugh frustrating.
Mentally she's a weak character and the show does it's best to show you she's growing mentally stronger but it's so contrived I just cannot. The romance is also not my cup of tea like all of a sudden guy shows up, buys his way in and she's just swayed by that like any girls out there would have seen that coming and it really is poor that they used something I've seen in 80's style of series of how they made the girl "comfortable" being around the same guy all the freaking time like give me a break.
I won't spoil it but you'll see how she goes from mmm does he like me oh no he doesn't because he's...
That's just weak.
There's other parts that drag on like so much filler characters that don't add to the plot nor main character developments. They have this useless ass girl and her brother which you'll see if you watch this and it's just why even have a story line for them.
It's such filler and there's so much useless characters you'll see.
I would have rather seen no villain but a reporter who has his own issues has a gut feeling there's more to this town than what it seems and the show is around her trying to hide her powers as being exposed to the world will be detrimental to her and her family.
One of my friends kept saying "you need to watch this if you into powers" and honestly I think it maybe cause I'm a guy. She probably likes this for the romance going on while I was in for a comedy-power show and all I got was mediocrity.

Action packed vigilantism with good episodic stories
I'm a simple lad so I'll keep it relatively short. This show has action, no romance and a simple vigilantism story. It is a must watch but not a binge watch if you're into some kick ass type of story that you have to just accept the ridiculous plot armour that occurs.
One thing to just keep in mind is that the whole premise of a taxi isn't important as I thought this story revolves around taking people on rides and randomly encountering people in taxis doing heinous acts. It's not like that, it's not like some dude brings a drunk girl in a taxi and the taxi driver takes them to a destination and serves justice.
The show could be called The Beekeeper and still be the same but otherwise the missions they complete and the fight scenes were very well choreographed. It's a good show for action lovers and the story revolves around their own trauma's to build some character development.

Basic acting, poor music, mediocre story and awful fight scenes with terrible camera work
This series only redeeming side is a mediocre story but it's plagued with problems that don't captivate audiences like me. It's not even dated series so there's no excuse for such poor camera work and the lack of choreographed fight scenes makes this feel like I am watching amateurs in the entire staff. If in 5 episodes this doesn't captivate you and the fight scenes/camera work turn you off I'll tell you that it doesn't get better.

Season 1 was better as season 2 became lower quality
To my surprised Taxi Driver season 2 is rated 8.9 vs 8.8 season 1 as of writing this review. Now Season 1 is one I liked because I'm a simple lad, it got action and it got a decent story not hard to follow.
Season 2 I started watching it and I was so disinterested because what they do in season 2 shows how low quality it is which is they skip fight scenes. They just imply there was a fight in multiple instances and there was a fight scene that just made no sense like there was no choreography done and they just told him to fight like a thug.
I assume there's budget reasons for this.
The other problem I have with the story is the story doesn't focus on a lot of relatable grievances but there was one that I assume it was to emulate the big story that blew up in South Korea.
The biggest issue is the cabal concept which is just like it just doesn't feel as strong as season 1 but the music is always great and the actors deliver. It's an okay series but definitely not stronger than season 1.
I will watch season 3 in hopes they bring back more action pack scenes but this show has turned more into like The Blacklist to where it had a strong start but I will only continue watching because I like one of the characters which is the nerdy girl in the van which deserves way more screen time.
