It’s because alices are saying he has his company pushing him to be the male lead since they are investing in the drama, changing the script to make reba’s role smaller and there were rumors of him being an equal billing to her. Plus many fans of the novel says that he doesn’t look like the character is described. Personally would love to see them some sunny day in a drama together but with all the fighting on weibo and alices boycotting the drama it’s better if one of them is changed cause there will be only negativity during the filming and after airing.
