Great first episode, but the male lead acting felt short compared to the other cast, I hope he improved in the next episodes. Interesting concept in this drama, I hope it have depth in it because it has potential to be great.
Chen Du Ling acting in this drama is the best performance I have seen this year, incredible acting, she delivered her feelings very well, and managed to bring a very complex character to life , what an outstanding actress. I watched 3 dramas of her " Glory, a Lonely hero journey, and this one" and each character portrayed by her feels completely different and natural, it's like I'm watching three different people, I hope to see her in more great works in the future.
Yes yes Wu wang yan didn't kill his tribe, for days the worry killed me , I love her the most and her story with wu shi guang in the illusion was her life dream, she is yearning to freedom for 1000 years and finally she tasted a glimpse of it, she deserves to be happy and I'm really glad that WU SHI Guang found the truth really quickly.
I feel very bad for the emperor, he was forced to be a toy emperor, lived his whole life in fear and ended up losing his mind , he could be a main lead in tragic melo-drama very easily
You know it great world building and character writing when in the end of the show you care about every character and understand their choices whether its right or not, they are not pure evil/good character but they are morally Gray who just try to survive in this world. Side note : it's great ending that makes my heart aches despite the happy ending for the main leads,
To be honest I watched tian xi wei only in new life begin and I didn't like her so I was a little bit hesitant to watch this one, but after watching this drama I became instantly a big fan for her , she has this unique charm that make you immersed in her acting and connected with her emotions, I hope she picks more diverse and amazing roles from now on. I'm on episode 18 and I have to say that despite that the judge daughter was unlikable character but in this episode she gained my respect , btw ep 18 was a masterpiece 🔥🔥

This is a really underrated drama, I only watched for Du ling but turn out to be a hidden gem, a masterpiece.. Great acting from everyone, great story, great characters with amazing depth, even the Japanese dude has different sides of his character "usually in dramas about resistance the Japanese character are dull with no depth". My only regret is the screen time for haemo felt a little bit short, I wished to have more space to grow and develop more.
Episode 20 is a masterpiece, the dialogue between Dan and tou`er was amazing The drama atmosphere shifted more darker and serious which leveled up the whole drama, one of the best cdramas I watched in my life 😍♥️
yunshu the 5th sister is a female lead material, smart, creepy and sometimes cruel but in the same time she is wise, cute and soft person (I know it looks like the opposite but the actress did great job in portraying the different aspects of the character) , If you think deeply about it she is someone neglected by most of her family including her grandmother with no real backbone and that's reflected greatly on her character, she grew knowing how to read the power game perfectly, the most interesting character in the show for me ...
It was a 10 solid show till the last 2 episodes, the big reveal was expected but the worst thing is the motivation, it felt like the writer lost control to the plot, really disappointed by the ending , the plot holes in the last 2 episodes made it childish unfortunately, by acting kim go eun carried the show for me; spectacular performance by her, despite I didn't like the actress filmography but I can't deny her amazing talent.
The movie is currently on korean cinema, its an indie movie so it may take time before released on streaming services, I remember kim hyanggi previous movied "I\child" Took a year before it became available on netflix
