It was a 10 solid show till the last 2 episodes, the big reveal was expected but the worst thing is the motivation, it felt like the writer lost control to the plot, really disappointed by the ending , the plot holes in the last 2 episodes made it childish unfortunately, by acting kim go eun carried the show for me; spectacular performance by her, despite I didn't like the actress filmography but I can't deny her amazing talent.
The movie is currently on korean cinema, its an indie movie so it may take time before released on streaming services, I remember kim hyanggi previous movied "I\child" Took a year before it became available on netflix
I really liked the female lead, with out her our male lead would be dead, she saved him 3\4 times, she is expressive fearless young lady but at the same time she's young and curious , she is capable of making life changing decisions - like what happen with the khan - , she's also capable of defending herself and not afraid of hurting others who threaten her close people, I hope the author gives her space to growth and shine.
I read some comments of kneetz on a Twitter, they are praising the movie and hyanggi performance, if the movie did well on cinema I believe hanggi will win a lot of words for this role
The synopsis is just meh ...... But I trust kim hyanggi scripts choices and the director worked on age of youth which is amazing show btw, so I guess it could turn out to be actually good drama, we will have to wait and see
I'm not expert in jdramas, watched couple shows but non of them impressed me but miss king rised the bar for me , can any one recommend me another jdrama masterpiece like this hidden gem
Finally completed it today, solid 10 for me 🔥🔥 To be honest i wished for more focused scenes about the shougi itself but otherwise its an incredible show , on of the best shows this year, highly recommend
It is normal for japanese dramas to have only one episode per week.
Honestly I watched 3 or 4 jdramas so i don't know how the system works but I believe that if miss king released full episodes at once on netflix it will hit big , totally underrated gem
Wait a minute, I knew I saw the daughter before, she is the great kid in miss beak , she grow up so much and her acting is really good, I'm very happy to see her growth and hope she continues to get good characters
