his memory loss condition makes like no sense, honestly. I am not even complaining about his regaining memories…
In the beginning he seemed to describe his memory loss not as something totally static, but as affecting him at random times. There is little things he seems to remember, but the majority he can not. And I suspect that after he does something for long enough he is able to put those little things together to create a routine. He lives with the constant threat of forgetting random things and he doesn't know what though. I wouldn't call his syndrome quite the same as total amnesia every day, but more so just a debilitating fickleness of memory. He would have seen his secretary enough to put the pieces together under this assumption, and he likely wrote down his new code (Or if it was related to our Female Lead, that association may have made it easier to remember). His healing village project seems to have extensive documentation all over the place, even if he isn't writing down a huge amount during all the recent meetings, the fact he is the designer and head of the project would make it even easier to keep in his memory as well, all he should need is the refreshers he gets from reading each morning.
I am also enjoying the progress and hopefully we continue to make even more progress and see more cute scenes of our leads together!
This drama has such good ratings and so many comments praising its developments, but I am about 1.8 episodes in and I feel like I am on drugs. In a bad way. I am so confused about what the heck is wrong with the main guy (As he acts normal in some situations then just starts flopping around like a fish both physically and mentally in others) The female lead seems pretty cute, but she is also all over the place. Even the most normal character (the second male lead) gets thrown into absolutely off the wall situations. This world is crazy and I can't even begin to wrap me head around it! Everything is dysfunctional and kind of hard to believe.
I will keep watching: in part because I do want to see the main couple get together, and I also want to see where all these good ratings are coming from. But holy... These first two episodes are a trip for sure.
Me two, I was anticipating to this drama because I love the main actors separately so was looking forward to their…
The difference in production value is night and day, I think most people had issues with the moral issues that were tackled in "Are You Human Too" (Although they didn't bother me) but the actual production of AYHT was heavenly. This show doesn't even seem to have the same level of production value as an average kdrama imo, but the story and concept is definitely good enough that I can look past that, and as you said: the characters. I am sure we will be in for an interesting ride.
I watched the first two episodes and am disappointed to say that much like the comments before me: There isn't really any likable characters. Even the two main girls really don't appeal to me that much and this drama is over-dramatic to an extreme. Like I get that melodramas are supposed to be dramatic, but no other melodrama I have seen puts me off as much as this one. Of course everyone who is interested in the idea behind the plot should give the drama a try, but if you are getting the same vibes as me, don't feel the need to force yourself to sit through too much of this.
I am actually really enjoying this drama at the moment, I saw a couple negative comments here and there, but don't let those discourage anyone who is interested in the idea from watching. Yes the production seems to have some flaws (In some places the camera feels choppy) but the story is actually really good imo.
For me, I use reviews to decide whether to start a show. I will generally read the synopsis and try to decide if I am interested in the premise, and if the show has an above 8.5 rating I will just pick it up immediately. But if it gets into the 7.5-8.4 range reviews become crucial to helping me decide whether to watch a drama or not. Pessimism can hit hard in the reviews, but so long as I am able to find at least one review of someone who knew what they were talking about and really liked the show, I will try to pick it up. But if there isn't many good reviews and the score is like 7.5 it will probably sit to die on my "Want to watch" list unless it is currently airing.
I know from my own personal experience that there is many currently airing shows I watch that I actually really enjoy, but then I go into the comments and it is just nitpick after nitpick of every single little aspect of the characters of the show, and by the end the show may have a rating of 7.5 on MDL, even though I rather enjoyed it and wasn't bothered by the stuff others were. If I encountered this show when it were not airing, it would die on my want to watch list. I wish I could be more brave with picking up new shows with less than stellar ratings, and that is where I encourage people to make reviews and express the bright sides of the show if you did genuinely enjoy it.
I know this isn't drama related, but who made the country visuals on this blog post? Because I absolutely LOVE them. Is there any way to get in contact with the artist?
i really want to read the webtoon...but i don't want any spoiler...sigh...i hope they didn't make the drama completely…
It isn't completely the same. There is actually a lot of changes, although I think it is subjective as to whether they are good changes or not. I will say though that I have enjoyed both so far.
Is it just me or does Hoon Nam have a almost Jerry Seinfeld humor type vibe? For some reason I can't stop making that comparison when I see some of his facial reactions and how he just goes with the silly stuff happening at times.
What the actual duck?!The hospital scene in EP4 was simply TERRIBLE!U cannot enter the operating room no matter…
Remember that it was not a real operation, it just needed to be convincing enough to trick the bad guy. Until you had told me: I had zero idea that is how operating rooms worked, I doubt the average person knows either. There is a lot of medical dramas in Korea so I don't think they simply "Forgot" to include that stuff. I think they were just rushed in setting things up before the bad guy got there and were kind of riding upon the fact that he probably would not know what a real operation looked like.
I may be crazy here? But I feel like this show has somewhat low production quality; to the point it is bothering me. I normally enjoy fantasy romance shows but this one and Hwayugi, while having interesting premise: have seemed to be kind of a step down in either budget or skill when it comes to just making the drama feel "Clean" and put together well. The animation work actually isn't bad (Which is normally the problem with Jdramas and such). It's just the screen panning, music transitions, and some scenes are just silly at times. I am still watching the show and on ep 2 because I really like the premise. But the drama just feels a bit amatuer at the moment :/ I may not have the right to say that sense I don't work in drama production, but it just seems subpar compared to the standard Kdramas have met before. Am I the only one here?
I mean, I am fine with the decision even though I will probably never watch Philippines Dramas. I am still waiting for Vietnamese dramas to get added at some point (I have watched a couple Vietnamese movies and dramas but can't keep track of them :( )Although I understand the market for Vietnamese dramas is pretty small. Hopefully it is somewhere on the to-do list down the line
I mean, it all seems fine to me, but I do think Because this is my first life should have made it somewhere. And I still adamantly believe that the bad guy in defendant was the best villain ever.
I am also really enjoying this show a ton! I can't recommend it enough and don't really know why it doesn't get higher ratings? Its no masterpiece by any means. But it is pretty great for what it is. I also agree that the music is great and this recent song (From the last two episode ED's) is absolute gold to me. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TMdQ2Ph3tjQ
I watched almost all of them, and I definitely agree with your top 3, those are amazing dramas. I wouldn't…
Queen In Hyun's Man is my favorite romance Kdrama I have watched so far and remains at the top of my list of favorite Romance Kdrama's period. Not sure it would classify as very comedic. But it definitely deserves mention in anything related to Romance IMO. Seeing that you have good taste, I will definitely check out the other Drama's you suggested (That I haven't yet watched)
