Actually this has to do with the way she was raised up that was not explained in the drama. The reason for her being timid and do not dare to speak out. Her relationship with her mother and her little brother. As a typical Asian family, son are always wanted and daughter are not that much. When she was born, she was often being spoken in such a way that "you are not wanted in the family" by her aunt (mother side iirc) and when her little brother was born, it got worst. So with this situation, things just went downhill and make her even more timid and keep everything to herself. (this was hinted with the diary writing to show her insecurities and having no one to really talk to). The only one who really understood her was her uncle (a painter also).

There's no different ending. It is extra where it throw in a lot more sugar to really make you diabetic and not just tooth ache.

Both drama have a completely different vibe. Although the sugar level is really high but it trully depends what is your preferred taste. The completely adult kind where it is more on LDR or the kind that put your emotion into roller coaster ride where you can just relate to your HS life.
