Yup~ the plot in the book is heavy. But the high school time was really sweet af. As sweet as the drama so no worries on that.

The book plot is deeper and more hidden secrets that what is portrayed in the drama. And...it'll make you cry MORE too.

They did get together. ZSY proposed to her TWICE in the drama and she agreed TWICE. In the book they got married with a son if I remember correctly. just that there's never a breakup. Since they never actually dated when they were in high school.

IMO the ending is just nice. Not too rush nor too draggy. However, this drama was filmed for 25 episodes instead of 24 so it may be feeling rush for some people. It is actually compact and concise where there's barely any loophole or unexplained scenes.

There's no breakup cuz they never really started since the beginning. It is just secret love that ended with a happy ending.
