I'm invested with the family and how they navigate through this, and I'm not interested in what's happening with the gang. I felt like after 8 episodes in, there's not much happening, no character growth for the ML, the FL is annoying af, and the introduction of grandpa hopefully will stir things up, but so far nada. It's a short series, I expected things to be going quicker than usual, but it's almost in the end, I felt like the story was still stuck on episode 1, the characters are still the same old themselves.
FInally done. I'm not sure where the negativity is coming from. I think the story was great, episode by episode there is something new it has to offer, it was not a monotonous scifi where you expect same elements. I like the ending too, it was vague, it was open-ended, it was left for the viewers to be interpreted. A lot of scifi shows are rooted and will end with how it was, it's all about human connection and love.
I want it badly to be good. I'm on episode 6 now and feels like the story is so typical and nothing ordinary. Granted the main character was really good, and even the acting of supporting characters, but I am just hoping for some good twist and turn,
Lots of people complaining about the ending, but I'm fully satisfied. You have to consider in writer's POV that they want to keep the thrill til the end
I enjoyed this show, but felt that it was a little bit short for a 12-episode series. Mostly because I think the show did not fully explore the outside world more (ie the politics, more stories on finding the cure). I think there are a lot layer of stories that could tell if they had expanded to 15-20 episodes.
At first I thought it will have the same idea as [REC] and exclusively tell the story on the apartment building. I like how they fully explored each character in the building.
Netflix international has not even acquire a lot of series that was shown in Netflix PH. It is a shame, to begin…
I think the networks are hesitant to sell the rights to Netflix International because (1) GMA and ABSCBN for instance have their own streaming sites, (2) presumably more lucrative to sell individual rights to different countries/network as opposed to bundled up rights on Netflix International. It makes sense tho for them to get extra money on Netflix PH since technically the shows are aired for free on local networks. Not sure how Thai and Korean series worked and able to sell a lot of shows in international scale for Netflix. I wished there is VPN for PH in that way I could have watch the shows that are only aired on Netflix PH
CGI still need to improve. Hopefully the series will start a Mars Ravelo universe, much like the Arrowverse. ABSCBN and GMA did attempt to create some sort of crossover (GMA: Capt Barbell and Darna, ABSCBN: Isang Lakas), but never come to fruition. I also hope ABSCBN can create a mini-series with Iza Calzado as Darna and prequel to this series.
