I love the movie. Definitely fell in love with the characters; the acting was surprisingly great (I thought it will be a mediocre); the whole angst is so much and the build up was so great that when they exploded, it exploded. The fact that there is a historical backdrop makes it more real; and the response of the characters to situation are quite realistic. I just wished I had more time with the two characters; it has been great watching them.
Really enjoyed the series. I am glad that the new batches of Gifted was not treated as background or that they forgot about the old characters. The series has a lot of story and plotlines to work with and it was quite exciting; every character has its own moments.
At some point I thought there will be a twist that someone has a power of creating illusions or alternate reality, but I guess I was getting ahead with so much twist in the show lol.
Anyone knows if there's a season 3 or this is the end?
Well, saying Karleen as a horrible person (in sense of "disrespecting") is a bit too much for the reason that…
I feel that was a lame excuse in the part of Pearl. Let's not forget that Pearl likes Karleen, Karleen is her X, the girl she is chasing. If that was not the case, then I would have agreed with you and accept her excuse.
But IMO, she did chose Karleen. And then when she chose that path, she felt guilty for Alex. Then uses that guilt feeling to seemingly tired and vulnerable in front of Karleen. It makes no sense. Pearl could have just acted on that guilt and go after Alex. Pearl knew that night was supposed to be her night with Alex. In fact, Pearl and Karleen knew that the whole romantic getaway was between Pearl and Alex. Yet, after the next night, she was all mushed up with Karleen and getting ready on a date in the romantic getaway that is supposed to be with Alex? All of those action points towards Pearl already chose Karleen. Let's not forget too that her first reaction after Jill's call was "Karleen, please don't go. Stay with me. Choose me." Instead of, go ahead (or I'll go with you).
It's only an after thought that she did tell Karleen to go because that's what she would have done in Karleen's position.
At that moment, she realized she fucked up her decision. It was all painted in her reaction. She did chose Karleen. Still hang onto Alex as a second choice.
I feel Karleen is such a horrible person. First of all, she did not leave the place as a respect to Alex. Alex was nice enough to ask her to stay away for one night and yet, she was the reason why Alex lashed out of Pearl. Granted that it was not her fault, still - she should have left the resort/getaway as soon as she found out that Alex and Pearl was there - out of respect.
But okay, fine. She is already there. But then the minute Alex decided to leave the venue, it appears that Karleen hijack the romantic getaway to make it her own date between Pearl and her. That's so disrespectful. It seems that she give zero f*** for what Alex and would do anything just to edge against Alex.
Alex was also right. Pearl did decide to stay with Karleen. She does not have two choices. She does not need to stay with Karleen in the resort. She does not need to go home with Alex. She has a third choice - she can leave or go home on her own.
I am really rooting for the main couple but as much as I really like to like the couple, I still don't see them as a romantic couple. I can say tho, the chemistry improved from the first series; in the first series, it seems Sarawat is distant but now the characterization changed a lot. The show don't really show much in terms of acting ability or talent - it does show though good singing ability of the main couple. I'm sure a lot are quite annoyed with excessive product placement as I do. IMO, the story telling is better in the first series. It annoys me that in the sequel, Sarawat seems to do all the heavy lifting for the relationship - even until the end where he surprises Tine for their anniversary. I actually like to see it for a change. Still a good short series to watch just for fun and relaxing. I like Ohm and Fong, they are cute and funny lol
Uh I hate the ending. Something felt so wrong. I can't figure out what message the writers are giving. At the end, it feels like you want to watch this for the sex scenes.
By far, the most accurate depiction of what one should be doing in the covid pandemic situation. I've seen Grey's/Station 19 and Hello Stranger use (or should I say, misuse) mask. And it annoys the hell out of me. This series done it right.
And oh my god, I actually cried so many times throughout the series.
But really I like the ending for what it is, because it is more realistic

But after contemplating on it, it is equally sad but also hopeful.
Terrence Carreon is so hot.

And I watched it in ONE DAY.
