Writers should have just use a different name instead real life people in the history. But then again, the show actually have a disclaimer in the start of the show that:

The drama is FICTIONAL and does not accurately depict actual people, incident or specific period.

How dumb it is to demand a fictional show to be historical accurate, when it is on its core is a fantasy, supernatural drama in an alternate world/university context? If you want accuracy in your show, you need to watch historical documentaries, not a fictional fantasy supernatural drama.

The main problem really is sponsorship pullout. Had sponsors kept the money in, SBS will just ignore the netizens.

Ridiculous to ask and demand a fictional drama to be historically accurate. It's FANTASY. It's SUPERNATURAL. People are angry at how inaccurate the history is, how about the scientific inaccuracy?

SBS cancelled the show not because of historical inaccuracy. But because of sponsorship pullouts.

It was a wrong idea for me to stop watching and binge watch Doctor Foster. Coz I was so disappointed how Dr Foster ended. So please. I really hope the ending is not the sameeeeee

Not really a good show to watch if you can't understand Korean and had to constantly rely on reading subtitles. I got lost along the way because I do get distracted with other things, I probably would have appreciated the show more if I have that context.

Having said that, the show is pretty much all about power grabbing and manipulating situation to their own favor. There was a sub story on romance which was abandoned, and only revisited on last episode.

if you are looking for romance, it's not what you want.

Please tell me that the FL actually have multiple copy of the same dress. If not, I feel bad for the actress for wearing the same one all throughout the series lol.

She died 5 years ago. But of course her body did not age, so in theory, she is older than the male lead. It will probably look weird for you since physically she is younger, and that's what you see on screen

That's the biggest gripe I have on this series lol.

Good run. LJS dramas don't disappoint.

I think they did not focus much on the mother because they wanted her to be the ultimate fairytale villain. I notice that a lot of kdrama they do tend to humanize villains/baddies for redemption but this is not in this case, since primarily they want to focus on the journey of the three main leads.

I agree with MY and GT relationship, which was also my main gripe of the series.

I'm on episode 13 now.

First 8 episodes feels a bit of a drag. I was not really hating it. I'm not liking it either. It was a good turn around when you get to see the ML have an emotional breakdown and that's where I feel more invested but until then my general feeling of the show is the same. It feels overhype, plot/storytelling was not as compelling and interesting as I was hoping. I can see why many people would drop it, I was tempted to do so.

Aesthetically tho, the show's cinematography is beautiful. And of course, the leads are beautiful to look at and they do have physical chemistry. The acting was also great.

Let's see if there are any great happenings in the next 3 episodes.

How did this series spawn sequels? It was nothing special.

Fiat's character is probably the most tragic. He had twisted idea of love, maltreated as a kid, gang raped, unrequited love - ended up in suicide.

The dad is just a piece of shit, offering her daughter as a sacrificial lamb.

I'm in between whether the gift seller should be a real person and not a supernatural entity. I think it would have been scarier if he was a real person but at the same time, the supernatural aspect provide the moral dilemma and symbolism of hate.

I don't get how Num is the old one suffered with old age. Didn't Kim also have a very short lifespan too?

The first few episodes are probably my favorite. Well, you have Fiat running around naked lol.

I was expecting way too much from this series and ended up disappointed.

I like this type of genre. But I feel like the acting was not as superb and the storyline was not that great. I was not really attached to any characters, and don't really care if they die or survive.

The show and plot was heavily socio-political based and driven. They rely a lot on that to tell the story.

Im on episode 2, I think Fiat is good looking but I feel not so sold on him as the lead tho.
