Someone clarified it in the comments...... that scene when He Yan went to the battlefield with reinforcement,…
Thank you for the credit… 🤣🤣🤣
I also wanna add that no one ever saw the real He Rufei too…
They only know that He family has a daughter that recuperates in the temple because she’s sick…

In the first episode, how did she suddenly lose hold of her walking stick. The editing in this drama is quite…
Because she's nearly fall into the pond. So it's normal that she lose hold of her walking stick and it falls into the pond.

In the novel, how early does he realise she is a woman and 2. How long does she pretend to be a man?
Note: Total chapters, 272. Drama has covered until chapter 77

Her identity as female:
- Drama: Episode 4 (Much earlier than novel, equivalent to chapter 73)
- Novel: During the 1st mission (Chapter 100)

Reveal to the public:
- Drama: Episode XX

Her identity as General Feihong

Btw, people in the movie didn't notice the height difference between FL and her brother? Or did they describe…
He Yan never went to the court...
In the flashbacks, you can see all her life was at the battlefield...
When He Rufei went to the court, that was the first time people actually see him...
Also, He Yan's whole army has been killed by Rufei to make sure no one accidentally recognise that he's not the real General Feihong...

And that scene when He Yan's went to Xiao Jue's father...
That's the first time they meet again after their school years...
So yes, even Xiao Jue never interact with adult He Yan for so long...
Even in the novel, Xiao Jue did mention that He Yan reminded him to the He Rufei during his school years...

For those who comment, why doesn't the revenge start right away...
Do tell, what identity should He Yan use to carry out the revenge immediately?
The reason He Yan joined the military camp because she wanted to show her family that even without He Rufei's identity, she could be a general.

Remember what people around her said to her,
"For a young lady, to wield weapons is improper. Honouring family should be men's duty. It's time to embrace your true identity as a woman." - He Yuansheng

"A mere woman daring to seek military glory? Preposterous delusions!" - Ding Yi

"But, sister, the achievements you have today are entirely due to your identity as the He family's legitimate heir. Even with the name He Rufei, as a woman, how could you achieve such accomplishments and repitations?" - He Rufei

To you, her revenge might be slow, but He Yan, even in the novel, was never a scheming woman. She retained her personality before and after she was killed. Yes, she wanted revenge, but at the same time, she enjoyed her new life as her own identity, as He Yan, not He Rufei.

The sweetest revenge is when the villain in your life realises that they aren't in control of your life.

I haven't been able to watch yet, does he already know ?
Yes, even in the novel, Xiao Jue know her identity as a woman quite early...
It was her identity as General Feihong that he discovers quite late in the novel...

Ahh. Here we go again. Comparing novel and adaptation. Not upto the mark they say. As a drama only watcher, I'm…
I also once disappointed by drama adaptation but I simply stop at the 1st episode...
And stop caring for any update of the drama, it was that easy...
I don't see the need to spread hate or left reviews during the premiere day...
Lol, that's weird...
I feel like reviews section should opened during the final episode...
