Damn, his character pissed me off like hell, the drama was so good but I can't withstand the fact how XWJ got away from all the dangers and survived till the end without any injury because there were people to protect him at all costs .
Pity how XHA put his life on the line to protect XWY but XWY got front-stabbed by his own didi......man didn't even hesitate before stabbing his Ge twice while XWY stood in awe trying to figure out the cause of his betrayal......
XWJ the fool you are to trust WZH's words of giving you 50% Of Chang'An to rule......
My understanding of XWJ character align with Zhang Mo's father's words ......."I know you have your reasons but I can't understand those reasons of yours which made you stab your own blood brother in an instant"
His character was beyond redemption since day 1 he killed the innocent pageboy .......I also don't understand why everyone was saying down in comments that the reason why XWJ at the end chose to remain hidden behind zhang mo's face is to prevent unrest and quell rebellion against the throne...but the throne alone didn't belong to XWJ , XWY also belongs to the imperial bloodline and moreover he's the older brother so rightly he should ascend the throne ......what does it have to do with XWJ alive or dead.

I don't know why he managed to stay unscathed with that level of brain and cowardness that he has to stab his blood brother thinking that the tiemo king will not go back on his words and even if he did ...how on earth can that be the reason to stab your only family left in this world who lays his guard down besides no one but you.
He is the most despicable character I have ever seen...and I have never thought of forgiving him after zhang mo's death...funny how XHA and YZ forget that innocent pageboy's death by his hands

A ning girl was suspicious from the start...she faked her identity and vanished into thin air after the chess plot finished...... There must be more to her character BG than just this story

Oh ...now I get it so the reason he didn't tell SBL about last mission was inorder to prolong his stay in the 21st century......ah hhh....I didn't get it at first I thought he did so because he didn't wanted to take SBL along with him for last mission as he will disappear after that which will make SBL sad and lonely again

You are right and I find it really strange how people are comparing one drama's storyline with other dramas....like I understand there some very good bromance that fall in the intense bromance categories but this drama is time travelling based, beside time travelling, I don't know what else can the creator show , their bonding will be developed through this path only....why would they hate su beilu to have no job of his own but simply helping the male lead in time travelling and collecting antiques...this itself speaks volume about their relationship...Su beilu just likes being with him and is interested in collecting antiques and visiting the past ... that's just how his character is.....you can't expect them to change his character for intensifying the bromance.....bromance is a subplot or sideplot whatever you wish to call it ......But the story and main plot is time travelling and antiques......and the show is doing good job in delivering all of that.....I don't think so I have come across any time travelling drama this interesting....but if they keep rating this show low just due to degree of bromance then it's unfair to the creators, actors and all others who did hardwork to bring it infront of us.
My honest recommendation to all watchers:
Watch only if you enjoy it ...
If you don't like it then just drop it and move on.

Bromance is subtle but brotherhood is wholesome, you will grab it only if you watch carefully each of the scenes where they are together...coz lots of minute details highlight their relationship and their synchronicity with each other..... I bet not everyone can notice it at first glance until you have had watched lot of chinese bromances to become used to the kind of hints they drop ........

This drama is getting better and better with every episode, it's so soothing and relaxing to see every episode, two lonely people from different timelines who found home in each other, though they know they are bound by fate of separation, they still accompany each other through thick and thin .......the platonic friendship is so strong.....the story telling is really great.....though I shouldn't link this drama with other adaptations, but tbh I wished if linkclick live adaptations could have also depicted the platonic friendship like this .....I don't know why I felt that Linkclick anime was far more better at depicting the two mains relationship than the drama, despite the duration. The drama's cheng xiaoshi and lu guang were so out of sync with each other while in this drama, the Bi zhi and Su beilu/Qin ziyi are syncing on another level....I seriously don't have words to express their bonding in my perspective is no different from that of pure Soulmates.......🤗🥰

Is that true,....because my heart still can't take how he killed the poor zhang mo coz of his jealousy. I can't seem to forgive him for that deliberate act of killing against a person who didn't say or do anything offensive to him except calling him a servant and that too he apologized later for it.

The novel originally has them as siblings..why would you wish to see romance everywhere...they do have chemistry I agree
..but can't siblings have one....is chemistry only reserved for couples...if you think like that then perhaps, you have never seen the depth of an actual sibling bond.
It is the closest bond only second to soulmate bond and definitely above the couples bond.
If you don't believe, you should watch the story of pei siblings in the fangs of fortune drama or twin Weasley siblings in harry potter or wen siblings in the Untamed

OMG ....the revenge plot is so intriguing.....beside that, I have always been longing for a drama that has sibling trope as main plot but I never got to see it in any drama, the previous drama of cheng yi where gulinaza played his sister was my most anticipated drama but I didn't get to see the sibling plotline there much , it was cut off as side plot ....the best sibling trope I had ever seen was in fangs of fortune but there also it was a side plot......I am glad to see here it's kind of main alongside the revenge plot, but I am sad also coz I know how the siblings are gonna have their ending.....that moment of of their reunion in ep 5 was so cool and breathtaking at the same time but it didn't even lasted a minute. Sigh 😔!!

Yunxi and feiyu in the same pic taken recently , Jianci and Zheyuan appeared in Hi6 together in same ep, Chengcheng and Anyu shooting same variety show .......I will take this as an auspicious sign 🛑⛩️🪅🎏🧧

Try watching.. Be Her Resilience...it's quite decent and soothing story .

I don't remember their story clearly, as far as I remember their story wasn't told completely in tht drama and perhaps it's one sided coz Rong Changing was married ....wasn't he?

Exactly I feel the same , even that crying scene at the staircase after YY's realized that he is the reason for all the miseries being inflicted upon JH and the fact that he is gonna die soon made him even more sadder just like In WOH when WKX finding out about ZZS suffering from 7 nail poison in his body and didn't have much time left
