I really can never comprehend the obsession of these Chinese directors with romance.....like seriously in this sort of survival genre also, they outta put romance....can they learn to show any thing else besides romance...I wished to see brother-sister dynamic b/w Hai Mei & Xiaoguang....but unfortunately ppl in Chinese dramas fall in love at the rate of speed of light..they just met each other for 3 days and fell in love with each other already & they even had the time & energy to celebrate their honeymoon amidst the man-made disasters they were coping with...perhaps if they had rightfully utilized their time & energy in exploring around their ambience they would have found the supply line atleast but no who wants to look for food & water when you can fill your stomach with romantic thoughts & desires 😂 while just lying down quietly spending sugary-fluffy moments with ppl you don't even know properly... And am genuinely tired of them dropping erotic hints here & there ....Not DingZhi telling HaiMei that she wants to look after her child & her🤣.... c'mon that's not something someone like her is supposed to say... DingZhi & HaiMei evn though they are not a thing but still their words to each other radiate out sapphic vibes ....

In china, They have more audience for detective, mystery, crime, suspense & thrillers than the sugar-coated romances unlike most international mdlers .....These kind of genre & sub-genre has more supportive audience in China than the romance ones...and These kind of dramas earn the cast & crew immense sense of responsibility & respect simultaneously.....but the reason these kind of dramas have shorter ep count is not because of audience but because of the Chinese censorship laws...that forbids criminal or mystical theme dramas coz they are scared ppl wud start imitating the actions in real life by following the similar logic & modus operandi.....Sci-fi or Psychic themed dramas are censored coz they think that can drive ppl mad & make them loose their sh*t out of dementia 😂............ That's why more of these kind of works can't easily evade NTRA books of rules & regulations so they make them short on purpose(cost-effective & budget friendly) in the hope of some leniency & they don't promote such dramas ostentatiously to keep low profile incase some fanatic netizen reports them to the authorities(like that is very common in China ...ppl reporting dramas to censorship boards & the higher ups for some slight issues)🤣
