Ofcourse it won't...coz Xiaohai is probably on the villainous side...he would betray Zheng bei sooner or later..... even if he turns out to be good, he definitely won't have a happy ending for sure....he's bound to be a scapegoat for the ones behind the ulterior moves or perhaps end up dying as morally gray character sacrificing himself for Zheng bei & the team in the climax....

I tbh praise actor through their acting not their personal life history & records.....coz nobody's clean chit.... every human has flaws & darksides...it's just that in case of actors, these things can't stay hidden coz of the nature of their work...... If you have seen that drama, then you might understand otherwise it's hard to expln...coz everyone's definition of bromance is different..... For me it's just simply two non-romantic male characters caring for each other where it's pretty much obvious they are partially or wholly not interested in women but definitely more interested in taking care of their bros...., doing everything for them, but very subtly depicted coz you know there is something called as Censorship so bromance/brotherhood is also censored to make it more CCP friendly and able to broadcast.....
