She’s going to be in Shadows of Desire! iQiyi dropped the promo and she looks amazing. I’m so excited for her role. It’s different from what she played before!
Special appearances don't require a lot of time to film, unlike the leading roles. She has reasons to spend more…
That’s so unfortunate. I really hope they resolve before end of year. Her short cast appearance isn’t enough! Sort of reminds me of Zhou Ye. I heard she also disappears for long time because she picks her projects very carefully. I just want Yu Qi to do an ancient drama.

Do you think she will ever pick leading roles again? I’m waiting for Maybe This is Love to air too. But it seems like taking forever and people saying it will never air.
Started Love in Pavilion, and she had a short screen time. It wasn’t enough and she was really good in the scenes. Totally miss her in ancient dramas. I hope this means we will hear more about her and her next projects. Feel like she has been so quiet…
What is the difference between main and idol drama? Also what happened that she got so many anti-fans? Been waiting…
I see. Thank you for explaining the difference! It’s understandable that she wants to challenge herself in various roles. But also unfortunate because I wanted to see her in costume dramas again like her role in Heavenly Sword and Dragon. She fits the wuxia strong female roles. Hopefully she spoils her fans a bit and accept some idol drama haha.
it looks like Qiqi will take the main drama route rather than idol dramas, her next drama will be a tribute drama…

Oh no! I always thought the agency Chen Yuqi was in was owned by Tang Yan herself. No wonder it seems like Yuqi…
Oh man, this is terrible. I was hoping she’d really be in The Days of Seclusion and Love, but it looks like that might be Yangzi now. This agency has beef or something with her? Why treat her that way? Hopefully Yuqi doesn’t have to wait 6 months.
A fan account explained that Chen Yuqi must not join a filming crew 6 months after the contract is terminated…
Oh no! I always thought the agency Chen Yuqi was in was owned by Tang Yan herself. No wonder it seems like Yuqi doesn’t have any upcoming projects besides the supporting role in Fox Spirit Matchmaker. I’ve been waiting to see what her next projects would be… does this mean chances of her being casted in 2023 new dramas is low now?
Whyy….First Chen Qian lived years not knowing if Chun Yang was alive. And now Chun Yang hearing Chen Qian died but didn’t actually and falling unconscious… 😭
Happy to see ratings slowly going up. This drama is good! All the characters served a purpose and made the plot interesting. I loved the subtle CP feels from Chun Yang and Chen Qian. Hope it’s a happy ending!
I’m not big on these type of dramas like with military. But I did watch Love in Flames of War starring Shawn Dou and Chen Du Ling. Thin Ice definitely not the same, but have that military aspect I think. I will say the plot in Thin Ice is interesting and has me hooked.
I never watched anything with the male lead, Peng Guan Ying. But here he is growing on me. I always enjoy Chen Yu Qi’s acting. For those that are uncertain, I would say her acting here is refreshing as her character is well written.
From latest episode, I love the developments between Chen Qian and Yu Chun Yang relationship. Split second CP moment haha.
Movie was really good! If you like the drama version of Demi God and Semi Devil and martial arts, this is a good adaption. A Zhu’s story is very sad in this version. Chen Yu Qi did very well. Her crying scenes got me. Donnie Yen as always amazing in these kind of fighting / martial movies.
I just watched Sakra which is a movie version of Demi Gods and Semi Devils very well known drama. Has like 9 different adaptations already lol. But movie stars Donnie Yen as Qiao Feng and Chen Yu Qi plays A Zhu. Her character is very different from Bu Yin Lou like 360. But some scenes did remind me of Bu Yin Lou. It’s worth a watch. Lots of martial arts and my gosh Chen Yu Qi can CRY. Her story is super sad in this movie.
