I would not have loved to be a servant in this era but Lu Ming and Lu Zheng Loyalty to Song Mo is so hot. They were Song Mo's literal ride or die. Makes me want to have someone who loves me and trust me to that extent friend wise. That is what Song Mo deserves and they deserved a good master who would do anything including putting his life in the line for them.
Rewatching Blossom whilst I wait for Flourishing Peony Viki but I am here to praise the wispy Gray hair in the hood flying in the wind of the 1st episode..whoever thought I'd this I thank you from the bottom of my heart. May your pillows and sheets be warm for all eternity. It really set the whole fragile but strong personality of Song Mo.
And I feel so aggrieved for the crown prince. Now knowing how good of a guy he was; morally upright who would not put his own officers/ministers/officials in danger I'm so mad he had to die in the 1st life. And super grateful we get a second life where he gets to shine and reign as he should.
Whatβs sad is the Song family destroyed because of hate. Only Song Mo remained.
Well written analysis of the overlying message being carried out by the drama. π. Wish I had the gif for clapping because this is so well articulated. This is the beauty of this drama. What do you do when given a second chance.
I don't know how you watch the two first episodes. Are you skipping some scenes? For me, episodes 1 and 2 are…
Your 1st 4 lines read as follows and I would what you wrote above
" Idk I saw people say it has LLTG vibe but LLTG hooked me from 1st episode itself n I didn't see any LLTG vibes in this"
Your words not mine. I quoted them verbatim. I am not sure if English is your 1st language or not but the moment you say I don't see any LLTG vibes in this you are already comparing the vibes whatever this means to you. Hence I replied it is not the same. You have to take Blossom as Blossom it is not LLTG . It was you who brought LLTG in the conversation you could have easily said you don't like blossom and didn't enjoy it's 1st 2 episodes without bringing another drama in it. I tried to help by saying they are different and how they are different from their stories being told and conceptualization because I actually watched both dramas finished them.
About Shaoshang potato potatoe we all look and want different things. I was telling you how the drama series are different and you can't get the vibe of LLTG that you are looking for because the stories of the FL are different. It's not a competition of who is more intelligent of the FL as you trying to make it .
I personally and the operative word here is personal my own choice. I prefer how DZ is written. she ended up being the richest person in the whole country and she used her brains to save, serve and alter the course of history. Shaoshang used her brains to navigate her difficult family system, social hierachy and help rebuild a broken city. Different scenarios they are fighting different demons. I personally prefer DZ she did what she did for the everyone and the safety of the people her nation. Which resonates with me being a social justice warrior for people.n Shaoshang intelligence was mostly used for personal reasons neither and her own gratification. It boils down to what I prefer. So this is not a competition. Again this points out to the difference of stories therefore Blossom has Blossom vibes and you can't find LLTG vibes so it is best not to look for them.
Again comes down to preferences that are different and for different purposes hence why they are different stories and they are not like each other. That was and is my point because you are the one brought in LLTG.
If you want to just argue because you just want to argue and say don't uplift this drama instead of engaging in a proper discourse that you initiated by the way on a different drama conversation then accept my apologies. I'm sorry I replied to your comment. Forget I said anything continue with your drama bashing. This a free and open space to say whatever you want. My apologies.
I don't know how you watch the two first episodes. Are you skipping some scenes? For me, episodes 1 and 2 are…
This is completely different from love like the galaxy. LLTG is transmigration and this one is a reincarnation story. So the basis are different for me it took me 15 episodes to get into LLTG. It depends on what you like and enjoy. I don't like comedy the comedic parts of LLTG were the ones that made me it difficult for me. I prefer bloody politics, dead people and beautiful choreographed fight scenes and the opening of Blossom gave me this and more with beautiful lighting. Plus I liked that the FL in blossom is actually clever and does something with her brains and life which is not the same for the FL in LLTG and also their romance is beautiful. Adults who talk things through and understand each other and that is another different coz Ling Buyi was out here in the streets just doing whatever he wants making his own decisions forcing them on Shaoshang so it's definitely different. I like both for different reasons. If you are looking for LLTG this is not it. I rate both of them equally excellent because the stories are executed well and I like how both execute the side characters plots. Both are 10 for me but I what they provide is different.
Finally someone feels the same as I do. The ending scene where their daughter meets the old man was kinda an open…
Yeah its perfect to start another series where she is grown and knows these stories and what is to come and she can prevent it. A second Dou Zhou and hopefully at this stage they have a son to complete the duo of Song Mo and Dou Zhou in son and daughter. I would be so good and I would be the 1st in line to watch it for real.
I do agree that the last battle was a little lackluster (and Iβm sure it was due to budget constraints and trying…
I suppose budget constraints but the whole story is about the leads and how they respond to the rebellion that will come. A better use of the budget would have been to start with such high intensity scenes and move to stuff that don't need a lot of money. The opening battle was good and I suppose that is where all the money went. It was engaging and very strong. They should have done the 1st and the last battle back to back before filming everything else.
For me it's not about being epic but about the seriousness of the situation. Lord qing had a lot of people and they backed up less than 50 people all the way to the kings palace. It the way it was done didn't have the intensity of being surrounded and fighting for their lives. It was a life or death situation. Game of thrones, 300 are examples of having small groups but keeping the intensity of a life and death situation. and what was with the trees they were carrying in the middle of a built palace what was the purpose and how would they help in a fight. I just didn't feel gravity of the situation and what was that with them standing there at the end like the justice league. But again you did mention lack of funds so it could be that and they did well with what they had although it could have been better.
Rewatching blossom and I'm on episode 14. The Duke of ying was evil but the emperor does not get criticized enough for his horrible decisions which led to loyal citizens death and allowed unscrupulous people like Dou Shishi to flourish. He was willing for Wu Shan to die, be treated badly abused all because he didn't want to go to war and Wu Shan grandfather the grand counselor was advocating for war. He was right the opening of the horse market just allowed for evil corrupt officials to flourish and abuse the nation and it paved a nice funding for the rebellion. Sometimes the correct way is the hard way. I hate the emperor for this. Acting all nice and magnanimous but all good and loyal subjects suffered and died at his hands. I agree with Song Mo why would you serve such an emperor at all. He was an unfit emperor, father and husband.
After seeing a lot of people saying it is bad I was genuinely surprised to find that I definitely enjoyed it. One of the hidden gems. Loved the story most importantly I loved that it moved me to cry, laugh and cry. Something that moves me emotionally is definitely well written enough for me to connect with the feelings being conveyed. The acting was superb. These are the rare finds were I would advise people to watch and make their own decision rather than to be told that a drama is bad. It was unexpectedly so good a definite 10 and this being my second ever modern dramas to like. If all modern dramas were like this I would watch them more often. Good story, loved how the story spanned over 3 couples without neglecting the side characters. Character fully fledged out. Best couple is the 2nd couple they were freaking hilarious. The ML and FL did an incredible job had me in my feels and also had me blushing and the cutest 3rd couple I want I out them in my pocket and protect them. Rated this 10/10 because it was worth it. Would have rated it higher if there was anything above 10.
Dare I say I want a season 2 we can focus on the reign of the king, some side character like Lu Ming, Chen Dia. I know China doesn't do series well but I'm practically begging. The cast was so good the acting was so good did enjoy the script especially some well delivered lines like when Song Mo says f*ck filial piety and loyalty not in those words but he was damn close. Second season. We can add in more pirate too I don't mind.
My fav character besides by two besties SM and DZ is the crown prince. People called him stubborn but I love that in his stubbornness he is resolute to his values and he refuses to leverage the lives of his righteous and loyal court officials. He sees right and wrong clearly and I love that. He is going to achieve great things if the series had ended with him and Song Mo achieving great things I wouldn't have minded. I'm so surprised at how the emperor thought falsifying charges against his best friend so that his son can be indebted to him was a good move. He had the right idea to support the crown prince to rule but his methods were too cruel and allowed for evil minded people to take advantage. SM was right is the face of the emperor more important than the people he rules. Good writing of a morally great character. The emperor is not evil yet he is not good as he does not make good decisions all the the time. Again kudos to the writers. They did a superb job.
Everything was great until the fight scenes at the palace which looked more comedic and child's play than a serious palace coup π the director let me down a lot. Place coup should show the gravity of the situation. For the lack of a good fighting sequence shooting I give it 7.5/10 just for the last 2 episodes. It would have been a perfect 10. Nirvana in fire 2 has a good palace coup politics, maneuverings, back stabbing and importantly the fighting scenes that really showed that the coup was serious business do or die beautiful choreographed. The faces of the soldiers in Blossom and body language was not showing the dire straits of a coup. The director can take lessons from these veteran directors. Song Mo delivered as usual would have wanted more action from his trusted right hand Lu Ming. Wasn't happy with the last shots of the drama which felt really choppy. But happy watching to everyone. It has a good ending.
This has been the longest wait I have ever done for a drama 2 more hours to go. I have never done this for a drama like wait for episodes to drop the whole day. This is what Li Yunrui and Meng Ziyi have done to me. They broke me π
The Empress is the mother of Prince Qing, NOT the Crown Prince
That is also very @Kampola you are so right. It is downright suspect the way the crown prince was unseasoned in court as you said the empress playing black politics in the background. And the crown prince had no power or followers. The crown prince was a sitting duck for the empress doesn't need to to anything since her son was going to get the throne. You are so right.
song han is like his dad, more ambitious than he is capable but want the shortcut, do the underhanded deeds rather…
You are so right he is a clever he should have realised with his dad going to that woman to teach him music that he was an illegitimate child. And I think it's explained that the mistress (his real mum) often have him presents. He would have noticed why him getting presents and pampered by this woman and not SM and put 2 and 2 together. He knew early on it would explain why he never wanted SM to take away their mums attention and it had to be him only the apple of the parents eyes. That massive victim complex. He should be the rightful 2nd master and everyone has done him wrong and the world owes him thisπ and in all of that he never reflects on himself. He is too far gone to be a good person.
Exactly! I hope more people would understand and accept this but since he is a treacherous villain character it's…
I think this is me just being mean. I don't even want DZ to forgive her. DZ has never done anything mean has been there for her even when her family was going to be executed. What pains me the most os DZ was willing to part with the bangle that her mum left her as part of her dowry. That was meaningful to her as it nearly delayed her marriage and she loves her mum. She gave of herself just for the so called best friend to forget herself coz she is in love. DZ is also in love with SM but she never hurt her step mum or step sister they fell into the traps they made for DZ I can't quite get myself to forgive her. DZ has had equally a terrible family but it makes her do good more. Honestly I personally want her to be destroyed with Song Mo. She has just shown that she is a may weather friend, changes with the season. Those are the same friends who betray you and you don't see it coming. I don't want that for my DZ she deserves the world.
Everyone hating Song Han and there is me. This is the perfect time to flesh out his character. Before this he was the dotted son therefore could hide under his parents. He knew the parents would do anything for him. SH was already evil here pretending to be nice. He knew his brother was struggling and estranged from the family but did nothing to change that except want to be better than him. Why couldn't he talk to his parents and push them to treat Song Mo better or just make sure that Song Mo was part of the family and it's activities when he visited.
Both his mum and dad are dead so his wings are gone he has to step into the ring to get what he wants. He can't use his parents anymore and his character is now shoring. What he has always wanted was to be better than Song Mo. He was not motivated to work to be a better person but he wanted to be better than Song Mo in terms of talent, character, nobility but boy is entitled. Entitlement makes for some pretty shitty people. So it makes perfect sense for him to join the rebellious prince with the promise of being made legitimate and taking the duke of ying title. For him to get what he wants he has to scheme. What is more evil than the matricide he committed to a woman with no crime against him. He also killed his father so Song Mo is little fish. What is adding one more brother to his death list.
I personally find that Song Han is a beautiful written villain props again to the writer and the Ansu girl I hope she rots in hell. What a terrible friend after everything Dou Zhou has done for you. Being tortured, standing as your surely when he family business went under. And invested in your current business. She owes everything she is to Dou Zhou but she repays Dou Zhou by mistreating her servants the same servants she grew up with it's not like Su Lan is a stranger to her. Hell is too good for this woman.
And I feel so aggrieved for the crown prince. Now knowing how good of a guy he was; morally upright who would not put his own officers/ministers/officials in danger I'm so mad he had to die in the 1st life. And super grateful we get a second life where he gets to shine and reign as he should.
