I do wish that the drama will take different route so that make somewhat alternative ending. Honestly, I don't really like Xiao Se ending even though I can understand the reasoning.

Hahahahaha! If you like xuanhuan genre, I recommend you to read Fight Break Sphere original: Battle through the Heavens. The novel is quite good.

I have tried my best to be as neutral as possible when watching those two dramas, but ...... I just failed to enjoy the storytelling. The drama did not enriching the story at all. Instead, they replaced some scenes and added unneeded scenes that made the drama quality dropped as an adaptation.

For this drama, so far they are very obedient toward original source. I hope they will add something enriching though, especially for Xiao Se character development.

Based on the scenes showed in ending song, I suspect that this drama will cover the whole novel. And judging by the fast pace of the drama, I think we will get a nice ending.

It is pretty good indeed. Douluo Continent is not the only bad adaptation out there. Fight Break Sphere is also an abomination ......

One thing to be sure, finally a xuanhuan adaptation done right. Up until now, it is staying true to the original material. No magical change in characterization. Acting wise, it can be better, but acceptable; will need to watch until the end to give a more thorough evaluation. The CGI is good. Clothing and make up are good, too. I hope they will give Xiao Se more extravagant clothes once we are in palace arc.

Perhaps the producer and director already learned from other abomination of adaptation. I can see that some user below very familiar with Douluo Continent, hahahaha. Well, that is one example of bad adaptation.

Which drama adaptation of Jin Yong that you are talking about here? Last time I watched any Jin Yong adaptation is Heavenly Sword and Dragon Saber starring Zeng Shun Xi back in 2019. That was okay.

Please no Ju Jing Yi. I know some of you dislike Chen Yu Qi acting. But however she is lacking, Ju Jing Yi is much much much much WORSE. Just no! I cannot stomach Ju Jing Yi acting at all. Moreover, this is another ancient drama. Ju Jing Yi in ancient drama is like inviting disaster.
